I grew up with a bunch of pups running around (although I do not have any of my own now) and I have been sitting through Rover for almost 10 years, so I have a lot of experience to bring to the table :) Most of my experience is with rescue pups (including any quirks that they may have because of this) but over the years I've stayed with a bunch of elderly pets who require extra attention, meds, specialized care, etc. But I love to take care of all types of animals - I've been tasked to care for dogs and cats but other animals as well including lizards/bearded dragons, a few different types of large birds and even donkeys! I'm happy to work with you to provide the best care to your fur babies while I am watching them. I know different dogs and even different breeds can have wildly different needs and my goal is to keep them as calm and happy as possible while you are away. All my services are in your home only, including day care. Drop ins are for visits less than 1 hour (sometimes multiples per day), Day Care is longer visits (usually between 4-8 hours per day) but no overnights and housesitting is full time, 24 hour care including overnights. ***Rover has taken away full autonomy of our calendars. The Rover calendar only shows approx 80% of my housesitting availability. To see all available days (I update frequently), please look under "Availability" I freelance so I can work from home (aka right from your couch or home office.) As long as you can share your wifi password, I can be with them as needed. I can easily make sure I'm there to check in on them/work around their schedule. During our meet and greet, I'll ask all about their daily schedule so I know how to best care for your fur babies during my stay. I work from home (aka right from your couch or home office), so I can be there with them most of the day and cater to their normal daily schedule :) Please be aware - during extreme temperature months, outside time (walks, etc) may be modified for everyone's health and safety. For example, in the winter/cold months, walks will primarily be done around mid day when it is warmest and during summer, walks would be done early or late to avoid the hottest times of the day. I've also been a pet owner for 15 years, with one dog named DuDu, who was a Black Labrador I am available practically always, with the primary exception being Wednesday nights, since I have guitar lessons that day. But other than that, I am indeed available, since even my volunteering work is irregular and voluntary I have a fenced yard or have the dog kept on a leash. This was a shock to see since Gus is easily intimidated by other dogs as a result of a very traumatic attack by three dogs 5 yrs. ago in another state. Noah subsequently sent several more pictures of Gus, Finley, and another small dog together. This made me so happy to see! Noah was also very understanding and accommodating when we had to adjust our travel plans three times for various reasons, including encountering an unexpected snow storm. I've already booked Gus's next stay with Noah (and Finley). : )”
“Rachel is not only an extraordinary pet sitter, but she is an extraordinary person. Kind and delightful. She was wonderful with Buddha Bear and sent us lots of "Pupdates" of their walks, feeding, and hanging out in the yard. I know Bear had a great time. It was a bit challenging for us because we moved to the area less than two weeks ago, so we know our dog may be a little anxious at the moment with the move and everything that comes with it. Rachael was so patient with him, and he stayed with her while she was working. I couldn't speak more highly of her. I know Buddha Bear really loved her.”

About: My dog is my top priority, and yours will be too! I’m able to take your dog on hikes, runs, and have some fun time with my almost 2 year old husky/heeler mix. Lots of cuddles, exercise, and fun time, while ensuring proper dog to dog boundaries. I have experience caring for dogs from puppies to seniors. I work from home full time, and so am able to provide care for your pets throughout the day. I am unable to care for dogs under 1 year old. Additionally your dog must be: 1) dog friendly, with no history of aggression towards dogs 2) people friendly 3) house trained 4) sleeps through the night I have a fenced yard and one playful two year old husky/heeler mix. Care can include yard play time, leashed walks, hikes, or runs, depending on the needs of your dog! I am also able to keep up with training and obedience with your dog, whether that includes reactivity, leash walking, jumping etc. A meet and greet is required before I am able to book new dogs.

“Kyleigh was AWESOME! Bella is a "special needs" girl with a benign brain tumor. Kyleigh was so sweet and gentle with her. She was very responsive with usually only moments to answer a text. She sent updates every morning and evening. I think she wins first prize for most pictures. That helped us know everything was going great. My only concern was that Bella would never come home!
