“Tracy was amazing taking care of Checho! From the moment we met, I could tell she was a true dog lover. She was incredibly attentive and made sure Checho felt comfortable and happy while I was away. Tracy kept me updated with photos and messages, which really put my mind at ease. When I returned, Checho was relaxed and clearly had a great time. I highly recommend Tracy to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. She truly went above and beyond!”

“Kim is the best! She consistently keeps us updated with photos and videos of our Mikko every day of his sa. He enjoys the walks and staying over, always having a great time with other fur friends.”

“Sharon took wonderful care of my dog while I was away. She sent me lots of pictures to let me know that my girl had adjusted well and was having fun with her and her family, definetly kept my mind at ease. Sharon gave her medication at the times that I had requested. She is reliable, responsible and caring! Thank you, Sharon”

“We messaged Lori last minute for a dog sitter. She had no problem with it all. She sent us pictures of our baby very often. I didn't worry much and this was my first time that someone I didn't know watching him. She treated him like it was just one of her own dogs and loved him just as much. I will be sure to definitely use her again if I need a dog sitter again.”

“Jackie was amazing! She took incredible care of our pup Nora during holiday travel and sent us photos of all the fun they had. She took notes during our first meet and greet, followed up with us after and was accommodating when my travel delayed. Thank you so much Jackie!”

“My Murphy was in exceptional care with Kimberly. In the photos she sent I could truly tell my baby was happy. She provided attention and love. Already planning using Kimberly in a couple months and probably even day visits beforehand. I am extremely satisfied with her service she provided.”

“Nicole took great care of our Lucky during boarding at her home. From the videos and photos she sent, it was clear Lucky was having a great time. When our initial stash of canned food started running out, Nicole even went out shopping to get more. Excellent communication and a truly wonderful sitter. Highly recommended!”

“Jackie was an excellent dogsitter for our dog Winnie! We had a meet and greet prior where she made us feel very comfortable leaving Winnie with her. She provided us with several pictures of Winnie and communicated a lot to let us know everything was going well. Winnie seemed to have a great stay. Thank you so much!!”

“Marla was wonderful! She had both of our dogs for 10 days and sent pictures and updates every single day! Her kids were so gentle and sweet with the dogs, played with them and gave them lots of love. She has a great fenced- in backyard too! We absolutely recommend booking with Marla!”
“Brittni's home was the absolute perfect place our dog Rolo could have gone for the week! I was so worried because she is an older dog who is set in her ways, but Brittni and family took her in as a part of their family and we are so grateful! I genuinely think it was a vacation for Rolo as well with all of the walks around their beautiful property paired with being spoiled in their home as well! Brittni's kindness and gentle nature was immediately obvious with our dog, who seemed to warm up to her right away. Communication was excellent and everything went smoothly. We highly recommended Brittni to take care of any animal!”

I can't say enough about Scott! Not only were my dogs well taken care of and happy, but Scott sent us pictures and reports daily so we could keep up on their activities. We wouldn't hesitate to schedule with Scott again. I know our dogs would love to stay with him again.

I was very pleased with the care that Kelly B. provided for Winnie. Winnie felt right at home from the moment she met Kelly! Kelly is kind and caring and provides a safe environment. I’ll definitely be booking Winnie with Kelly B again! I’d give her 10 stars if I could!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
