“Jackie was an excellent dogsitter for our dog Winnie! We had a meet and greet prior where she made us feel very comfortable leaving Winnie with her. She provided us with several pictures of Winnie and communicated a lot to let us know everything was going well. Winnie seemed to have a great stay. Thank you so much!!”

“Thankful for Matt! We had to leave the area for two nights and last minute reached out to see if he had the availability for our two dogs. We were able to do a meet and greet with his dog that very next day and everything went well. His communication was great and he sent photo updates throughout the stay to check in which was much appreciated. Highly recommend!!”

“Lori Ann was extremely personable and professional. We had an issue with rover that my booking didn’t show but she accommodated me dropping my dog off at her doorstep! She kept me up to date every step of the way and made sure Wiley felt at home. If I am ever in the area I will be sure to use her again!”

“Isabella takes such wonderful care of Jax. She is a very sweet peron and very responsive. He always seems so happy when I drop him off and pick him up. He loves her dog. They play alot. I'm grateful to not have to worry when I am away.”

“Valerie was amazing. This is our first time to use Rover and I was a little nervous. She communicated with me the whole time and also shared photos of my fur babies. I highly recommend Valerie!”

“Joan was a great sitter for our baby, Nimer. I loved receiving daily updates on how he was doing as well as pictures and videos. We chose the boarding option, and Nimer had the best time at Joan's house, sleeping on her bed, playing in the cat tunnels, and climbing the cat trees. He also got along so well with her ferrets! Her house is free of any harmful products and is a safe space for just about any pet. Nimer will definitely be coming back when we go on our next trip. Highly recommend!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Ilaira! Ours was a last-minute booking, and we were a bit anxious about finding the right sitter for our bulldog. Ilaira immediately put us at ease with her great communication and thoughtful updates. She sent us pictures throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our pup was clearly happy and well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend her!!!”

“Scott loves dog and my dog had a great time with him. What attracted my attention at the beginning was Scott’s long term experience of taking care of dogs and turned a rescued dog into a therapy dog. During meet and greet, Scott was transparent and he told me his life stories particularly with dogs by showing many pictures. He missed his last dog Jack very much. He also patiently learned my dog’s behavior in order to make my dog being less stressful and comfortable during boarding. He was willing to make changes to accommodate my dog’s behavior and he prepared well before I dropped off my dog. He updated me at least once a day with multiple pictures. I could see my dog was happy, playful and tired. When I picked up my dog, Scott reviewed details with me what happened during my dog’s stay. I highly recommend Scott being your dog sitter. Your dog will be in good hands.”

About: What sets me apart is that I truly treat every dog like my own. I currently have two dogs cooper and teddy. Teddy lives with me but cooper does not .I grew up with a family dog, and have experience dog sitting for my grandparents and in-laws , so I’m very comfortable with all types of personalities and routines. I have also worked with senior dogs, so I understand the extra patience and care older dogs need. I’m reliable, attentive, and big on communication—I’ll keep you updated so you always feel at ease. Whether it’s helping a puppy stick to a routine or giving an older dog extra comfort, I adjust to what each pet needs. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work 8–4 Monday- Friday so outside of those hours I am home and fully available to give pets attention, exercise, and care. I love being active—going on walks, hikes, and trips to the park with our dogs, I also have a dog park at my apartment complex, and my dog loves it there —so any pet in my care will get plenty of exercise and engagement. I also make sure pets stick to their normal feeding, potty, and routine schedule so they feel comfortable and at home. 🐾 I care for pets like they’re part of my family and always try to keep their routine as normal as possible. In my home, they’ll get lots of attention, playtime, walks, and a safe, comfortable space to relax. I follow feeding schedules closely and make sure they get plenty of exercise and love. In a client’s home, I respect your space and stick to your pet’s usual routine so they feel secure. I’ll handle feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any specific instructions you provide. I’m very attentive to behavior and comfort, and I always keep you updated with messages and photos so you feel at ease while you’re away.
“George did such a good job watching Milo! He was attentive to him being comfortable and communicated with me multiple times a day! I could tell Milo was taken care of very well! Would use him again!!”

“Thank you Emily for your exceptional care provided for Sprouty. Throughout your time, you consistently went above and beyond our expectations. The extra time you spent getting to know Sprouty's unique personality, quirks, and anxieties truly made a significant impact on Sprouty's well-being. The regular updates and pictures you provided were immensely reassuring and helped us feel connected to Sprouty, while we were away. Would recommend you to our friends and family and would definitely consider next time if we are in the area. Thank you.”

“Great people, great family. Stella was treated with the same love and attention that we provide her daily. They were very flexible and sent lots of pics to let us know she was ok. Their standard of care was exceptional.”

“This was my first time using Rover so i was very nervous. But after reading all her reviews, we chose Carole to take care of my 4 month old puppy Novie for 4 days and 3 nights and she took great care of her! She sent me lots of updates, responded quick when i texted, and sent lots of pictures showing Novie having a good time. I would use Carole again in a heartbeat.”

This was the first time I left my dog Posie with someone other than a family friend. I was nervous, but Lori Ann let me bring Posie over to meet her and see her place prior to booking with her. Posie seemed comfortable at her place. Posie stayed 5 days with Lori Ann and everything worked out great. Lori Ann sent pics and even bought her a new harness and leash. I will definitely be using Lori Ann again!

This is the second time we’ve left blue with Renata. She is well taken care of. She loves going over to hang out with Renata‘s dogs and Renata gives us plenty of updates and works with us. If we’re running late from returning from our trip, I would recommend her for anybody who has a large breed dog. Her dogs are well behaved and she knows what she’s doing!

Tracy, did an amazing job watching my cat Alohi. She provided the special care that she needed to an excellent level. I will definitely use her again in the future if she is available. If you need a very good sitter or boarder, I would contact her. You will not be disappointed.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
