“Heidi has watched my dog overnight on two separate occasions; she is very sweet with my dog and sends updates frequently. I would book her again and would recommend her to other pet owners.”

“Missy is the best! I averaged about four photos every morning and then again later in the day that she sent to me. My very active Boston terrier had an absolute blast! Thank you, thank you thank you!”

“Kim was incredibly concerned about my dog, Laila. I neglected to inform her about my dog’s open wound, and she kindly offered to take her to my veterinarian. That’s the kind of caring and attentive caregiver I look for, and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a great caregiver.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Ilaira! Ours was a last-minute booking, and we were a bit anxious about finding the right sitter for our bulldog. Ilaira immediately put us at ease with her great communication and thoughtful updates. She sent us pictures throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our pup was clearly happy and well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend her!!!”

“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Sharon and her family. When we first met with Sharon all of out worries immediately disappeared. She is very kind and responsible. Our Cindy felt at home right away. We never had a reason to worry throughout our vacation as Sharon was always in touch. We received daily photographs and reports on how our pet was feeling. All our recommendations were followed. We were very happy with Sharon. Cindy even came home with gifts 😊 Thank you for taking care of our pet while we were away!!! We will definitely contact you again!”

“Carole was amazing to work with! She responded promptly to messages and provided our dogs wonderful care as if they were her own. This was our first experience using Rover and we are so happy we found her. Mei Mei and Georgia loved their stay at Carole’s place and we will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Tim was awesome with our dog, he helped keep her happy so we could have a stress free trip. He kept us updated and checked in often and was accommodating in every way! His dog is great with other dogs so she enjoyed all of the company.”

“Great people, great family. Stella was treated with the same love and attention that we provide her daily. They were very flexible and sent lots of pics to let us know she was ok. Their standard of care was exceptional.”

“Highly, highly, highly recommend Joan! From the moment I dropped off my cat I was completely at ease because he immediately made himself comfortable, which he typically doesn’t do. Joan was great, and sent a lot of pictures and made me feel secured with leaving my baby with her! Thank you so much, Joan, and again I highly recommend booking with Joan!!”

“Renata took excellent care of Meg, I knew from her profile that our Meg would be happy and loved and she really didn't disappoint. I can honestly say she is now family and I won't leave Meg with anyone else. THANKS RENATA and Thanks Rover for helping us find her”

“Lori spoiled Trotsky during his stay. She was extremely loving and stayed in constant contact with us via text. She sent many photos of Trotsky while we were away, so we had nothing to worry about. I would recommend Lori 100% as a dog sitter!”

“This was our first trip away from our little princess Luna. After several searches and attempts to find the right sitter, we came upon Megan. She responded almost immediately after we sent the request. From the first introduction, through Luna’s stay with Megan and her family, we felt we found the perfect person to watch Luna while we were away. Megan sent daily updates and photos which put our minds at ease. If you are looking for someone to watch your dog, Megan is the person you should book!”

“Brittni's home was the absolute perfect place our dog Rolo could have gone for the week! I was so worried because she is an older dog who is set in her ways, but Brittni and family took her in as a part of their family and we are so grateful! I genuinely think it was a vacation for Rolo as well with all of the walks around their beautiful property paired with being spoiled in their home as well! Brittni's kindness and gentle nature was immediately obvious with our dog, who seemed to warm up to her right away. Communication was excellent and everything went smoothly. We highly recommended Brittni to take care of any animal!”

“Roberta made my pup feel right at home! My dog will often not eat in new environments until she gets settled, but she was eating right away which is a testament to how accommodating and welcoming Roberta was. She also updated me with pictures every day!”

“I am very happy with Kim, Bessie was around other playful dogs. It was my first time leaving her overnight and Kim sent lots of videos of Bessie having fun which set me at ease. Bessie came home and was completely wiped out from all of her adventures. I have comfort that this will be Bessie’s home away from home.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wescosville
We had an awesome experience with Emanuel! He was able to board our two large and energetic guys, Kiss and Harley, on very short notice, which we greatly appreciated. He was also very prepared and provided us with a short list of things to bring for the boys, which made the drop-off process easy and straightforward. Emanuel was communicative throughout their stay and regularly sent us photos, which we really appreciated. It was clear from the pictures that Kiss and Harley had a wonderful time running around and playing outdoors, and they definitely came home tired out! They were also both happily excited to leave with Emanuel at drop-off, which gave us a lot of reassurance that they were comfortable with him. We would absolutely use Emanuel again and are especially grateful that he was willing to accommodate such a last-minute boarding request. Thank you again for taking such great care of our boys!!

Jennifer was amazing! She took such wonderful care of Ellie and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She was quick to communicate, sent lots of photos and updates, and it was such a relief knowing Ellie was so well cared for and enjoying her week. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Jennifer watch Ellie again. Highly recommend!

Yoko is the best with our Kendra. Millie, her dog, gets along so well with Kendra.... best buddies. I'm sure they will miss each other when we get back to our normal routine. Excellent communication with pictures and excellent care for our dog, Kendra. Thanks so much!!!

We had a family trip planned and was faced with the concerning fact we had no one to watch Callie during our 6 days away. After searching through Rover we found Christian, but were concerned about her interaction with other dogs since she did not seem to like other dogs during training classes. During the meet and greet with Christian it became obvious that this was the person that would be best to board with. He took the time to talk to us, give us his background, showed his love for dogs, and detailed what the days and nights would be like. Although he is not a canine behaviourist, his understanding of dog behaviour and social interaction is top notch, and he ensures a safe environment exists for dogs like Callie (not aggressive with other dogs, but anxious) to help break her out of her shell. His interaction with the dogs is wonderful, and there is no doubt she got the attention she needed. I would recommend Christian without hesitation for your boarding and doggy day care needs.

the sweetest family!!! i felt so at ease leaving our baby for a weekend trip with Maria and her family. she kept me updated with the cutest pictures and treated Olive as their own. i couldn’t have asked for anything more! we will definitely be back and i know Ollie already can’t wait! :) <3

Joanna did a great job watching my little dog while we were on an 8 night vacation. She gave me updates with photos of Petunia having a blast, which were reassuring since we’ve never been away from our pup that long. It’s also especially nice that Joanna’s job is flexible so she can stay home with the dog she sits or potentially bring the dog to her office. This is great for dogs who aren’t used to being home alone all day. Joanna was also quite flexible when I had to drop Petunia off a day early due to a change in flight timing, which was super appreciated.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
