Pet care experience

Calm full-time care, fenced yard

With over 25 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats, I bring a lifetime of knowledge to every stay. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs and understand the extra patience and attention they need. I'm also comfortable with reactive or shy dogs — every pup gets the time and space to feel safe. I only take one guest's dog(s) at a time so they get truly personalized care. Your dog's routine is my routine — I'm happy to follow specific diets, medications, and whatever schedule keeps your pet comfortable and happy.

I have never met a dog sitter as kind, loving, wise, and experienced in providing the very best care for dogs as Yoko. She treats people with the same warmth and kindness as well. Her husband is also a truly wonderful person. They took care of our elderly dog, and when his condition suddenly worsened, they gave him the most attentive and compassionate care without ever sparing their time or effort. From the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful that we entrusted our beloved dog to Yoko. Yoko and your husband, thank you so very much.

Yoko and her husband are exceptionally sweet and welcoming. From the moment I dropped my dog off, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in great hands. They kept me updated throughout his stay with messages, photos, and videos, which I really appreciated—it was clear he was having a great time. You can tell they genuinely care, and that gave me a lot of peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again!

As Yoko's husband, I get to see firsthand every single day how she cares for our dog Millie — and I don't think most people could match her level of dedication. Millie is a Lab/Basset Hound mix and she gets Yoko's complete, undivided attention all day long. We don't have children, so this is Yoko's daily routine: morning walks, afternoon yard time, regular grooming and brushing sessions, and meals prepared with care. She notices the smallest changes in behavior or appetite and acts on them immediately. When Millie was diagnosed with cancer and went through surgery two years ago, Yoko was by her side through every vet visit, the surgery, and every step of recovery. She researched everything, followed every post-op instruction to the letter. Every day she home-cooks meal toppers for Millie to make sure she's getting a little extra nutrition and love in every bowl. Now, Millie is thriving and remission free — and I believe that's in part because of Yoko. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog like family, I can tell you from living with her — Yoko doesn't just say that, she lives it every single day. — Luke

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog will stay in a calm home with a fully fenced and secure yard for safe outdoor play and exploration. Guest dogs are welcome on the furniture and can sleep in the bedroom (if you prefer it) — I want them to feel at-home, comfortable, and like part of the family, not a visitor. Millie is a friendly, gentle companion who helps nervous dogs settle in. I send daily photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and loved. I follow your care instructions to the letter, from feeding routines to walk schedules. I want them to enjoy staying here, not just waiting for you to return.

Pets

A typical day

Every day starts and ends with a walk around our quiet neighborhood so your dog can stretch their legs and take in all the new smells. Back home, we'll spend time playing in our fully fenced yard — whether it's a game of fetch or just exploring at their own pace. Afternoons are for winding down with couch cuddles, gentle brushing, and nap time. I follow your dog's regular feeding schedule and make sure they always have fresh water. Since I'm home all day they're part of our daily routine right alongside Millie and me.

Please share everything about your dog's routine, personality, and any quirks — the more I know, the better I can make their stay feel like home. I do ask that all guest dogs be housebroken and non-aggressive toward people and other dogs, since they'll be sharing the home with Millie. I'm also not the best fit for dogs with severe separation anxiety or destructive tendencies, as I want every dog to have a calm, stress-free experience. That said, I welcome all breeds and sizes and I'm very comfortable with shy or nervous dogs who just need a little extra patience. If your pup takes medication or has a special diet, I'm happy to follow your instructions.
