I have a fenced in yard with no other pets. I am looking for a dog for myself to adopt and turn into a therapy dog, so I don’t mind training or corrective actions if wanted/ needed. I don’t like crates, but that’s me, and will respect your wishes. If at your house, you make the rules and I follow them, willing to FaceTime etc. whatever you need.

Information Scott H. would like to know about your pet

I always need to know anything that would impact your pet. No matter how small, or insignificant. Health issues, emergency numbers, what vet you use, and anything else that you are willing to share.

A typical day

Spending time with them is the most important and rewarding aspect of taking care of your dog or cat. Walking, playing with toys, running in the yard and going to the local park is a daily routine, but optional due to many variables. We still have fun and playtime inside if the weather is bad, or preferred by the client due to health or age.

Pet care experience

I’m familiar with almost every breed, and have been training them since I was 10 years old. My last dog was a therapy dog I took into nursing homes, but his time has past. :(

My dog Esco really enjoyed the several days he spent with Scott! Scott is definitely a dog lover and made Esco feel right at home, giving him total access to his bed and furniture. Scott also took Esco for a couple of walks at a local park every day and spent a lot of time out in his fenced yard exercising him as well. He was also totally accommodating with a last-minute request to give my dog medication while he was there. Scott was also great about sending lots of pictures every day and letting me know how Esco was doing throughout the day! I am relieved to know that I won’t have to be concerned the next time I have to travel!

Scott did a great job. He was responsive and accommodating. He made sure he knew my dog's needs. He kept me updated and sent pictures. My dog loved her time with Scott. I would trust him with her again and recommend him to my friends.

Scott was very friendly, great with my pups, and very flexible and accommodating. My dogs were happy and took to him right away. He was easy to work with and helpful with training as well. I will definitely leave my pups with Scott whenever I travel. .

Scott loves dog and my dog had a great time with him. What attracted my attention at the beginning was Scott’s long term experience of taking care of dogs and turned a rescued dog into a therapy dog. During meet and greet, Scott was transparent and he told me his life stories particularly with dogs by showing many pictures. He missed his last dog Jack very much. He also patiently learned my dog’s behavior in order to make my dog being less stressful and comfortable during boarding. He was willing to make changes to accommodate my dog’s behavior and he prepared well before I dropped off my dog. He updated me at least once a day with multiple pictures. I could see my dog was happy, playful and tired. When I picked up my dog, Scott reviewed details with me what happened during my dog’s stay. I highly recommend Scott being your dog sitter. Your dog will be in good hands.
