About: I have taken care of dogs for 7 years now, as well as taking care of my own. I watch family, friends, and neighbors dogs. I walk and play with them and give my dog baths. I am a college student so this is a perfect job for me! I have a lot of free time during the weekends and during the week I have a hour lunch break everyday and get done class at 2-2:30 most days, this is a perfect job for me. I am very observant and will keep the pets occupied. I can feed and crate them if necessary and make sure they get enough exercise during the time that I am with them.

About: I’m familiar with almost every breed, and have been training them since I was 10 years old. My last dog was a therapy dog I took into nursing homes, but his time has past. :( I have all my time to spend with your pets. I am available weekends too, very flexible schedule. Will walk daily and play with them depending on age etc. I have a fenced in yard with no other pets. I am looking for a dog for myself to adopt and turn into a therapy dog, so I don’t mind training or corrective actions if wanted/ needed. I don’t like crates, but that’s me, and will respect your wishes. If at your house, you make the rules and I follow them, willing to FaceTime etc. whatever you need.

Medication administration is a important process that I take very seriously. I’m currently working as a Special Education teacher’sand would love to take care of animals in my free time. My work schedule starts at 9:00 am until 3:15 pm Monday through Friday. Let’s communicate our schedules and we’ll make it work for us and your furry friends. Thank you for opening up your home! I will come in and let your pets smell my hand to make a positive association while we have a chat about the best schedule for your fur baby. I will take care of your beloved pet in the comfort of your own home and the sidewalks of your neighborhood. Your best friend will be in good hands with me. We can go through your four legged companion(s) detailed plan together so I can give them the best care possible.

About: I've been dog sitting since I was 12 years old and have been around dogs my entire life. While I've never owned my own dog, I initially watched my cousin's dogs when they were out of town, but eventually started watching dogs for family friends and within the last 10 years watched my friend's dogs when they've been out of town. Most dogs I would take on walks or let them out to run around in the yard if it's fenced in (if the area isn't great for walking). I will always take care of your dog like it's my own. I work full time Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm so would be available after 5pm or on the weekends if I'm not travelling. I'm originally from Pittsburgh PA and still go back home on some weekends or will visit NYC for a day to visit friends or family. In my clients home I would either take their dogs on a walk around the block (if the area is decent enough) or can let the dogs out in the yard if it's fenced in. I'm very careful when walking dogs and always remember to pick up after them.

About: I've been around cats and dogs my whole life, but started taking care of dogs around the time I was 12 and moreso with cats around 13. We adopted a dog when I was 12 and I fed her, walked her, bathed her, taught her tricks, played with her, we'd even cuddle! We fostered a dog from a hoarder and had another dog after the loss of the last one and I continued to repeat the cycle with this big crazy whippersnapper! Where I was working part-time just closed for the season, so I have plenty of free time for playing with your pups and kitties!!! When I'm not in school, I'll be taking care of my pets and helping my mom out with them around the house, she does Rover too and recommended I get on it. For drop ins, I like to meet the pet first and learn about their likes and dislikes and where to find all of their things. I like to ask questions on how to make sure they feel most comfortable with a new person and try to follow that advice to make sure they feel their best. For walks, I like to get an idea of where they like to walk and any behaviors I can expect while walking them before we head out on our adventure!

About: I have had pets since childhood and currently own a two-year-old German Shepherd who is both affectionate and energetic. Caring for her has given me hands-on experience in handling, training, and providing attentive care for large dogs. I am passionate about working with dogs and would be delighted to provide the same level of care and attention to yours. I currently work during the day; however, I maintain a flexible remote schedule that allows me to accommodate pet care needs, including walks and outdoor breaks, at various times throughout the day. This flexibility enables me to support pet owners with more demanding or less adaptable schedules. I have fenced in yard and plenty of space for play time! I also have a patio where pets can relax out of the sun

About: I’ve grown up caring for dogs my entire life and have lots of experience fostering, dog sitting, and dog walking, especially with medium to smaller dogs! I understand that little pups often need extra attention, patience, and a calm, safe environment. Anyone who knows me knows that the key to my heart is our furry friends. I will make sure your dog feels secure, loved, and well cared for at all times, just like they are my own! 🐶🥰 I currently work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time throughout the day to give your dog the attention and care they deserve. I’m available on all weekdays and weeknights for boarding and walks, making it easy to fit your dog's routine into my schedule. I have a large, private fenced yard for safe play and relaxation, plus a quiet street with great walking spots all around. Most importantly, I treat every dog like family and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
