About: I have a lifetime of animal care experience and have been running my little business, Pet Care Partners, LLC, since 2019 and have offered a variety of services. I currently offer dog walking, dog training, day time drop ins for dogs, cats and critters and dog boarding in my home. I live with my husband and our children ages 14 and 11 who help me care for the doggos who stay with us. I'm passionate about providing excellent care for your pet and frequent communication with you. I require an in person Meet and Greet before committing to caring for a new pet to make sure this is a great fit for all involved. Please inquire at least 3 days before you need care so we have plenty of time to meet beforehand. Contact me for additional references and reviews! I work part time hours and typically have availability 7 days a week. For drops in your home, I am available between the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm so my services are the best fit for cats, critters and doggos are who are just alone for the day. I always require a meet and greet for new clients, so please inquire at least 3 days in advance if you are new to Pet Care Partners! Walking: I get to know each dog as an individual so I can tailor my care to meet their specific needs. For example, if your dog has food allergies, I make sure I'm only using appropriate treats with him. If your dog is leash reactive around other dogs, I'm careful to keep plenty of distance between us and other dogs on the sidewalk so that we can have a comfortable, pleasant walk. Boarding: I have a fenced in backyard, and protocols around doors to prevent escapes. We prepare our home for the well-being of each individual dog guest. For example if your dog loves to play with plush dog toys I will leave plenty out! If your dog is at risk for swallowing toys and getting hurt I will put them away during his visit.

“Very happy I hired Timothy to walk our two huskies while out of town for four nights. I have never done it before because huskies can be a handful and I never trusted anyone else to walk my dogs, including my normal pet sitter, because of how strong and unpredictable my dogs are. But, I knew our youngest would go absolutely insane without any daily enrichment. Timothy showed up promptly each morning and provided a good report on each walk and some pictures showing the dogs panting, so I knew the walk tired them out, which was the whole point. I felt so much better knowing they were getting some exercise. Will definitely use the service again.”

About: I have had at least one pet my entire life. I am as passionate about Cats as I am Dogs. I recently lost my 15 year old Dachshund. He was the love of my life ( sorry Husband). Currently we have three Senior Dogs. We would have more if we had a bigger home. I recently left my position as a Client Care Supervisor at a local Animal Hospital. I was there for twelve years and it was by far the best work experience I have ever had. I adore Senior Cats, Kittens and every Cat in between those life stages. Same with Dogs. Senior Dogs delight me as much as any Puppy. Any Animal in my presence is immediately my favorite Animal. During my years at the Animal Hospital I was never medically trained . I did however learn to recognize symptoms of common medical issues and signs that a Pet needs immediate medical attention. I would love to make your Pet ( or Pets ), my new Best Friend. I am currently unemployed while I participate in an advanced 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training. I have a fairly flexible daytime, night and weekends schedule. I would like to meet any pets and their owners before walking them or house sitting. I would adhere to the pet owner’s standard of care. I will provide as many photos and updates as the pet owner wants.

“Gaby is awesome all around and attentive to my dog, Emmy’s, specific needs and personality. She is a very clear and prompt communicator, and goes the extra mile for your dog!”

About: I create a personal bond between me and your pet- I take them on many walks and love to play with them. I am attentive with puppies and help potty train them as well. It is about your pet, not me! I have a completely free schedule as I am putting most of my energy into pet sitting. The pets are of utmost importance to me. I am able to maximize play time and can easily crate if needed. I love to go on walks and possible dog parks in the area.

About: I seem to be a magnet for anxious dogs and cats! Both my senior cat and adolescent dog have behavioral issues/anxiety, and while it has its challenges, I find bonding with these guys can be the most rewarding experience. Between slow, gentle movements, not rushing a bond, and having lots of treats on hand, I've learned that "difficult" personalities don't always have to be so hard. I work 8-5 on weekdays, with Mondays and Fridays being working-from-home days. I can easily incorporate lunch-time and evening visits into my schedule during the week with open availability on weekends. After adopting an anxious/reactive dog, my partner and I have invested countless hours into a training program that works for us. Through this experience, I've learned the power of positive reinforcement, consent for touch, and patience even when it's the most difficult to find it. I'm a huge believer in redirecting unwanted behavior rather than punishment of any kind. Love and respect is the driving force behind all of my interactions with animals!

“Rachael is very reliable, she’s always on time and spends more time with my dog than she has to which shows that she really cares and wants to make sure my dog is well taken care of while I’m at work.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets other than my own since seven years old. From family, to friends, to neighbors. Good with pets of all ages, phenomenal at getting stubborn senior pups to eat their food. I am currently a full-time student, with most classes landing in the 8am-4pm range. There is usually a break between, so I am available for mid-day walks/visits! I am available on some holidays. I currently live with my anti-pet parents, so caring for pets in my clients home is ideal. This is much less stressful on the pet, having their familiar environment. I am non-invasive and will respect any requests you have for my time in your home.

About: I have close attention to detail, which is important when caring for pets. I’m able to identify behavior and appetite changes and provide proper care. I am patient, kind & caring. I have an open schedule during the summertime. When I’m not caring for others’ animals, I’m spending time loving on my own cat and often caring for my MIL’s senior dog. I pay close attention not only to giving your pet lots of love, but also their behaviors and appetite to ensure they are healthy & happy. I love to take dogs for walks and provide a comfortable and clean environment for cats & dogs. Pets can sometimes be apprehensive when meeting a new caregiver, so it’s important to be patient & kind as they get to know me and become comfortable.

“Daniel did a great job walking our big, energetic huskies! He was responsive, always showed up on time and even went above and beyond cleaning up a mess our puppy made in the house. Our dogs always seem happy and well taken care of when we get home from work on days they walk with Daniel. We would definitely recommend him!”

About: I’m a teacher looking to hangout with some cuddly pets this summer! I’ve had cats my entire life (27 years), including two who lived to be 18. I’m experienced with giving medication by syringe and caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve also helped care for friends’ dogs, birds, hamsters, and fish. I’m patient, gentle, and truly love animals. I’m currently a teacher and I have my summers off so my time is very flexible. I am looking for some cute animals to fill my schedule this summer! I treat every pet like family and follow any instructions closely to keep them happy and healthy. I’m respectful of clients’ homes, always clean up after pets, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

East Grand Rapids dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kinsey took great care of my puppy. She communicated well and provided high quality photos. She was on time and walked my puppy for the full amount. She took a few moments to greet my puppy to make sure he was comfortable with her before walking. Thank you Kinsey!

Amazing!!! He genuinely cared about my dog’s well being & sent pics with constant communication. I had Binx stay at Whiskers resort & hired Joshua for daily walks which helped him tremendously, even whiskers said it helped my high energy, nervous boy. Thanx again for taking Binx to a beautiful park & not just a sidewalk AND for picking up that xtra day
