“Brianna was great! We needed help with our 2 dogs last minute. She made time to come meet us & our dogs and it was obvious she is comfortable with dogs - they all were great together.”

“Sharene did a great job! Helped us out last minute and took care of Freckles very well. Freckles is a senior dog who is a lil nervous at time but she was great with Sharene.”

“I highly recommend Amanda. She’s great with dogs! To me, she is a “Dog Whisperer”. She’s very reliable and professional. She treats my dogs like her own. I will for sure have her take care of my dogs anytime. Definitely a 5 STAR!!!”

“Debbie was great! Went above and beyond in caring for my Australian Shepherd. Very happy with both the communication to me, and attention to my dog while I was gone. I will not hesitate to recommend her”

“Jennifer made me feel at ease while I was away. When I returned, I came home to a happy and relaxed dog. Great personality and communication skills. I would rebook with Jennifer in a heartbeat!”

“Adesa did some drop in visits for our dogs and she was wonderful. She took great care of both dogs, one who is a senior and the other who takes awhile to warm up to new people. She was also very communicative, which I appreciated. Looking forward to booking with her again in the future!”

About: Hello, my name is Atticus! I worked at a doggy daycare for over a year, have been pet and house sitting for neighbors and friends for over 3 years, and have been walking dogs since I was a kid. I have 5 pets (one dog, three cats, and one snake) of my own, making me well versed in caring for a variety of animals. I work a sporadically scheduled contracted job 1 to 3 Saturdays a month that I'm very committed to. However, these jobs have never gotten in the way of my care towards my own animals and the animals I have pet sat for. I don't pet sit in my own home, as I can't be sure that my animals will 100% get along with a client's animal. I have slept over in guest rooms of the houses I have spent over night in, as well as having only been in the house with the pets during the day, all per the client's request. Whatever one's house looks like or whatever features one's house may have, I am always sure to respect boundaries, clean up after myself, and make sure the house is left looking better than when I arrived.

“Karen was the absolute best! I’m always nervous leaving our cat on longer vacations and I had zero worries this trip. She was amazing at communicating, sent pictures, and gave the best updates after each visit. She took such great care of her. I would 100% recommend Karen! Book her now. You won’t regret it. :)”

About: I have grown up with dogs and have 2 of my own. I like dogs more than most people and haven’t found a dog I haven’t been obsessed with. At a party you can’t find me with the dog....and that’s if you can convince me to leave my two dogs. I love all breeds and have a wiener dog and a boxer of my own. I am very particular in who watches my animals and know that you want your fur babies to be treated and taken care of as you would. I will make sure your dog is well taken care of and will be given all the exercise, love, and snuggles as they would if you were home. My job is pretty flexible in when I can take a lunch break so it’s easy to drop by and let the dogs out midday. I also have the ability to work from home in the evenings if needed so I’m not stuck at work for hours on end. I have two dogs of my own that I walk and love the exercise it gives both me and the pup. I have a very friendly boxer who loves to play with other dogs. But am willing to do what you are most comfortable with your dog. My weiner dog is not so friendly with other dogs and will stay with Grandma and Grandpa while I’m house sitting. We do daily walks and lots of outside time weather depending. We also do inside play time to keep my dogs stimulated and entertained.
About: I am primarily on this app to be of service to our dog training clients when they go out of town. I am sometimes available to take other pets, but not always. I understand that each animal has their own personality and quirks. I am able to care for pets of any age. I have experience administering medications as well. I work full time at a dog training facility. I spend most of my free time taking care of animals. I am able to bring pups to work with me during the day, so I can potty and let them run around on my breaks throughout the day. I will either bring your pup to my house or go to yours! Whatever your preference is. I do have two dogs of my own, both are friendly to all different types of pets. We also have a cat, so my dogs know how to behave around them (not chasing, bothering, etc.) As I mentioned above, I work at a training facility and will be able to bring your pup to work with me instead of them being home alone during the day. I have lots of experience crate training dogs, and can help continue or start that training for you.
“Kara was great with my boys. I had a last minute cancellation from another sitter and she stepped in without even having met my three dogs. I appreciate this so much and will not hesitate to use her again!”
About: I've had dogs my entire life! My husband and I have two sweet pups (a 70 lb Goldendoodle and a 6 lb Morkie) who are the center of our days. We both retired early and spent the last couple of years traveling around the country and pet-sitting for people who were on vacation. We enjoyed sits with countless dogs and cats (and even chickens and lizards!) until we bought a house and moved to Eagle last October. I'm excited to find a new way to connect with dogs and cats in our area! I'm happy to enjoy the outdoors walking with your pup or snuggling on the couch... whichever they prefer! I have experience with puppies, adults, and senior dogs and am also comfortable giving medication (both oral meds and shots). Since I am retired my daily and weekly schedule is completely flexible based on your pet's needs! Just let me know what works for your household! I am happy to spend time outside in the fresh air walking your dog(s) or playing outside with them. I am physically active and enjoy walks and hikes. If they prefer, I am also happy to come to your house for snuggles on the couch!
“Courtney did a fantastic job! She took the best care of our pets. I could see in the pictures she sent that all four of them received attention and care. I highly recommend her. It was such a relief to know that our fur babies were in such capable hands while we were away.”

About: I've been a professional Dog walker since I was 18 years old, almost 20 years ago. For the past several years I have specialized in dogs that have aggression or behavioral issues. I have done house sitting, boarding and overnight at my clients houses. I looked after, Dogs, Cats, even Lizards and Fish for people on vacation. I look forward to walking your dog or helping with your animals while you enjoy a vacation. I plan on walking your dog for at least 40 minutes, not including pick up time. I start my picks every morning around 11am. Monday through Friday. I can walk weekends on special occasions. I will visit for house sitting up to 3 times per day. I limit my dogs walks to 6 dogs or less. I prefore Medium sized dogs and up, but i'm open the smaller dogs on a client by client basis. I will the dog solo to or 3 times before introducing him into the group. I want him to get used to me and see how he behaves at the dark park.
“Candace did an excellent job caring for our two cats while we were on an extended vacation. She left good updates with photos and the cats seemed very comfortable around her. I would use Candace again and recommend her to other pet owners looking for a reliable and quality sitter. Thank you.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Eagle
Sharene was literally a LIFESAVER! At the last minute, a neighbor told me she was not able to pet sit for me and I had already left on my trip!! Thankfully, Sharene answered my plea for last minute help (same day even!) to check in daily for my 2 cats and make sure they were healthy & happy while I was thousands of miles away. I thank my lucky stars to have found Sharene and will DEFINITELY request her saintly services for my 2 fur babies the next time I need to travel… thank you a ma-billion times Sharene, I appreciate you more than words can express!!

We were lucky to find Tara available on a popular holiday weekend. I was anxious about leaving the house as we are in the early stages of acclimating new cat Marty to our home already occupied by an established cat...diva Maggie. Tara took exceptional care of them both...providing detailed and humorous narrative reports every day - complete with photos worthy of a professional pet portrait photographer. Tara's communication skills leading up to the visit - and throughout her service - were outstanding. We were completely at ease putting our home, Maggie, and Marty in Tara's capable hands....and we will definitely hire her again.

Candice is an amazing pet sitter. We had some last minute plans come up for us, and she did her best to fit our cat’s medicine into her booked schedule. She then went the extra mile to ask for a towel to wrap our cat so he was comfortable when getting his eye drops. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to help their pets who need specialized instructions. Thank you, Candice!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Eagle. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
