“So nice to have Ron take care of Pig, our loveable but easily frightened Himalayan during a recent out-of-town trip to see family. We came back to a healthy, happy cat, which was so wonderful. Definitely plan to use Ron for our next trip!”

About: Dog lover with 10+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from Dachshunds to Great Danes. Comfortable with puppies, seniors, multiples and cats. I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, and am passionate about caring for them. I work from home, so I have flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care. I’m available for walks from 6-10AM and drop-in visits between 6AM and 3PM on most weekdays. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, keep walks safe and enjoyable, make sure your pet has fresh water and attention during drop-in visits, and always treat your home with the same care and respect as my own. I’ll also send photo updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Amazingly friendly and professional! My dog absolutely loved Ava and I enjoyed all the photos and lovely comments she left after every drop-in visit. She was very responsive and respectful! 10/10 will book again and would highly recommend!!”

About: For more than 40 years, I’ve loved and cared for dogs and cats of my own. After my last Boxer passed away in 2022, I found a new way to share that love by caring for—and spoiling—the pets of others. I’ve provided excellent pet- and housesitting services on TrustedHousesitters in the Boise area for the past year, earning 20 five-star reviews. Many of my sits have been with repeat hosts, which reflects the trust and dependable care I provide. My experience includes dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, fish, reptiles, and even beetles. Before moving to Boise, I spent 14 years fostering dogs and providing pet-sitting services in the Atlanta area. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to follow instructions carefully while providing plenty of attention, patience, playtime, and affection. For the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a project manager in the technology industry. As I transition into a more personally fulfilling career, I’m excited to devote more time to animals and give your pets the same thoughtful, reliable care I would want for my own. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and thoroughly spoiled while you’re away. I currently work full-time as a pet sitter, so caring for pets is my primary focus. I’m able to organize my schedule around each client’s needs and your pet’s established routine. I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and overnight stays. I offer flexible availability throughout the day and night, including 24/7 overnight care, and I’ll work with you to create a dependable schedule that helps your pet feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet as if they were my own, with a strong focus on safety, trust, and consistency. I carefully follow your instructions and make sure your pet’s individual needs, routines, feeding schedules, medications, and preferences are respected. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home, taking them on a walk, or enjoying outdoor exercise together, I remain attentive to their surroundings and comfort. I take safety precautions during every visit and activity so your pet can feel secure and relaxed in your absence. You can count on me to provide dependable, thoughtful care while treating your home and your pet with the same respect I would expect for my own.
“Have booked with them multiple times now, and they have been absolutely amazing, given my dog, the best care I could ask for! I can already tell that my dog loves them more than me lol just kidding!”

About: I have always had dogs and puppies throughout my life, and took an interest in animal care around 10 years old. I have experience with training and health-care for all ages. I have had jobs as a kennel attendant, and have volunteered with shelters for play/enrichment, and transportation to special vet trips requiring road trips to Emmett. Studied animal care during college, and have worked in healthcare for over 10 years. I am currently working a full time day job, but open to evenings and weekends. Looking forward to adding some fur baby visits to my routine. In your home, I'm more than happy to follow the rules and expectations. I am happy to play, walk, and make sure your baby feels happy, safe, and comfortable with me.
About: Hi, I’m Katelyn! I’m a dedicated animal lover with over 6 years of experience dog sitting for pups of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I currently have a dog of my own, so I truly understand the level of care, attention, and love our pets deserve—they’re family. I pride myself on being reliable, trustworthy, and attentive to each dog’s unique needs. Every dog has their own personality, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know what makes them happy—whether that’s long walks, playtime outside, or just relaxing with plenty of affection. Because I’m home most of the day, your dog will receive lots of attention, supervision, and care. I treat every pet the way I’d want my own to be treated—with patience, kindness, and respect. Whether your dog loves to play, explore, or just cuddle, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I am a hybrid doctorate student, so I am home all week. I have a fairly flexible schedule, so I will be able to tailor to your animals needs. I live in an animal friendly apartment complex. My apartment has an off leash dog park and I live next to a walkable park as well.

“Elisabeth was wonderful and very thorough in her communication while I was gone! She made things so easy and took wonderful care of our cat, I would 1000% rebook her again for future needs.”

About: I've always loved animals since I was a child and grew up with dogs cats and quite a few others. I've been taking care of neighbor's pets and family members' pets for years. Sadly, my sweet senior boy passed away a few months ago and I am happy to help watch your pet and get all the snuggles and time that I can with them while you're away! I work full time Monday-Friday but I can reliably come by for morning and evening care. Weekends are usually open and I have my own transportation. Drop-in care is preferred so I can meet your pet where they are most comfortable while you are away and they our out of their normal routine.
“Emily is the best cat-sitter that we have ever had! She was responsive and trustworthy, and friendly to boot! She was understanding and flexible and went above and beyond to make sure our kitty was well cared for. I can't recommend her more highly.”

“We had a great experience! She took wonderful care of our dog, followed all of our instructions exactly, and kept us updated with photos and messages throughout each visit, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. She also spent time hanging out with our dog instead of just stopping by to feed and leave, and that meant a lot to us. On top of that, she was willing to help us on very short notice after our original plans fell through, and we really appreciated her flexibility. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative Rover sitter!”

About: I've been a professional Dog walker since I was 18 years old, almost 20 years ago. For the past several years I have specialized in dogs that have aggression or behavioral issues. I have done house sitting, boarding and overnight at my clients houses. I looked after, Dogs, Cats, even Lizards and Fish for people on vacation. I look forward to walking your dog or helping with your animals while you enjoy a vacation. I plan on walking your dog for at least 40 minutes, not including pick up time. I start my picks every morning around 11am. Monday through Friday. I can walk weekends on special occasions. I will visit for house sitting up to 3 times per day. I limit my dogs walks to 6 dogs or less. I prefore Medium sized dogs and up, but i'm open the smaller dogs on a client by client basis. I will the dog solo to or 3 times before introducing him into the group. I want him to get used to me and see how he behaves at the dark park.
About: I’ve had many opportunities to work with and sit for multiple different types of pups/dogs as well as kittens/cats. I enjoy seeing the personalities of each that makes them unique to their breed and how they were raised. I currently work out of the home Monday-Thursday leaving room for love, play, and walks in the evening and early morning with a possibility of mid day check ins. I often house/pet sit out of my home at the location the pet lives so they are in the comfort of their own environment, however have provided space at my home in the past. Regular feedings per the request of the owner. Regular walks, play, belly rubs, and scratches. I prefer fenced yards and do have a small fenced in back yard.

About: Hi, My name is Meah! I’ve spent my entire life around animals as big as horses and as small as crickets. Currently I own and did most of the training for my 2 dogs named Luna (a white husky), and Gus (a chocolate lab/blood hound). I also have Heffley (a leopard gecko). In the past I’ve owned 2 basset hounds and 3 cats. My blood hound has medical needs due to having severe allergies and stomach issues, resulting in me now having experience in medicine administration, medicine injection, and dog first aid. I also spent a long time caring for my senior basset hound (princess) who had severe bone deformities and mobility issues. I’m currently working part time on a schedule that I can move around very easily to be available for your pets needs. Times after 4 pm can be challenging currently but can be worked around with proper notice and communication. :) I care for pets in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special care instructions. I am attentive, reliable, and committed to providing a safe, stress free experience for both pets and their owners while they are away. I also provide regular photo updates and reports so you can stay informed and have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
“Jessie was great! She dropped in to play with Owen while we were gone. She secured our house each time and was very good with Owen. We will definitely have her drop in again in the future.”

“Sarah is great to come in and look after our pups. She is patient with our fearful dog and we know we can enjoy our time away and rest assured all is well at home.”

About: Hi, I’m Hailey! I’ve had a deep love for animals since I was little—always rescuing, adopting, or begging my family to let me bring home every creature I found (yes, even bugs and fish!). Caring for animals is second nature to me, and I’d love the opportunity to give your pets the same love and attention I give my own. My home is full of love and energy. I have an 12 year-old son who is gentle, playful, and absolutely adores animals. I also have a sweet 4 year-old who keeps to herself and doesn’t interact much but loves watching the pets. Rest assured, your furry (or scaly🤪!) friends will be safe, spoiled, and treated like family here. I’m currently looking to do something I genuinely love—helping care for animals—while also earning a little extra to support my family. Your pets will be in loving, responsible hands. I can’t wait to meet them! During the summer, I have open availability, so your pets will have around-the-clock care and attention. I’m home all day and rarely leave except for quick errands. During the school year, I still offer boarding and daytime care—I work very close to home and always come back during lunch to check in. My schedule is flexible and I’m committed to making it work for you and your pets. I’m available for boarding on both weekdays and weekends. Just let me know when you need care, and I’ll do my best to help however I can. Your pets will be loved, spoiled, and safe here—just like family. We have a big fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, play, or just relax. I also have friendly dogs who love company, but if your pet prefers space or alone time, I’ll make sure their needs are fully respected. I can easily crate your dog if needed or wanted, but we’re big cuddlers over here and love letting animals sleep with us or on the couch with if that’s something your pet enjoys and that’s something you are okay with. :)

Sharene was literally a LIFESAVER! At the last minute, a neighbor told me she was not able to pet sit for me and I had already left on my trip!! Thankfully, Sharene answered my plea for last minute help (same day even!) to check in daily for my 2 cats and make sure they were healthy & happy while I was thousands of miles away. I thank my lucky stars to have found Sharene and will DEFINITELY request her saintly services for my 2 fur babies the next time I need to travel… thank you a ma-billion times Sharene, I appreciate you more than words can express!!

Sierra was an excellent sitter. I haven’t ever used rover before but I knew about it from others. Right away she was close to where I lived and had great reviews. She was quick and responsive, immediately making me feel at ease leaving town while she cared for my cat. While I was gone she sent pictures and kept my cat company. I could tell he was comfortable and loved in each photo. She went above and beyond every chance she could to make my cat feel loved and kept me up to speed the whole time. I will definitely be using her again in the future and you should too!

I was very happy with my experience with Janel! She took such great care of my cats while I was away. I really appreciated the daily photo updates and the peace of mind knowing my cats were in such capable hands. She was punctual, professional, and clearly a true animal lover. I’ll definitely be booking her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Meridian. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
