“Dee is the best. She took great care Bella. She took the time and consideration for Bella being around other dogs and showed her so much love as this was the first time in 3 years we have left Bella with someone other than family members. She kept us updated each day and provided us with pictures. We will definitely be jawing her again and recommend her very highly! Thanks Dee, your the best!!!”

“Once again, another wonderful Rover week for Riley! We feel so confident that he's being well cared for when we go on vacation. Definite peace of mind. Thank you Aimee and Derek!”

“Amanda was a perfect sitter for my hunting dog Wrigley. Given all the exercise she needed, Wrigley was allowed to socialize/play with Amanda’s two golden retrievers, was fed well, and was thoughtfully protected from the summer heat. This included early morning walks before the heat of the day. Amanda provided photos, videos and feedback to keep me apprised of Wrigley’s overall health, allowing me to more fully enjoy my time away. Wrigley quickly became part of Amanda’s family, and I am confident Wrigley received the best care possible. I highly recommend Amanda for your dog sitting needs.”

“Amber is a life saver!! She took such good care of my pup Stewie. She kept me up to date during his stay by sending photos and videos of Stewie and had quick responses. Her pup Jasper and Stewie played all day and hit it off instantly. Stewie came home tired and after a long trip away, I was thrilled to know he was taken care of and had the best time with Amber and Jasper. I highly recommend and will definitely use again!”

“Katelyn was super sweet and so was her family. They kept our Golden and took great care of her, lovin on her like she was one of the family. She also took our pup on last minute and was so communicative and easy to work with. I Will definitely book again with Katelyn!”

“Kristina took such good care of my dog panda bear! She was extremely organized, professional and knowledgeable about specific ways to take care of my senor dog. She even made recommendations on where to go get treatments for my dogs arthritis. She is very sweet and accommodating and made herself available when I didn't have anyone else to dog sit while I worked. I would highly recommend her services 😊💛”

“Staci was available to watch my dog, Molly, for 9 days on short notice. Staci and her family took great care of Molly and she sent me plenty of updates and pictures. Molly came home worn out from all the fun she had. I would absolutely use Staci again next time we need a dog sitter!”

“Alyssa and Jacob were amazing hosts! Will definitely use them again for Fritz. Great communication. We got a lot of updates and he looked like he had a blast! Came back very happy which was nice to see as Fritz can be nervous and shy in new places!”

“Tyler has been great with our dog! This was our second time using Tyler and our dog was so excited to see him again. Tyler was willing to work with us when our travel plans got messed up. We are so grateful for his patience.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have owned cats for more than 10 years, so I understand that every pet has their own personality. I also recently fostered a puppy, which gave me experience with potty training, playtime, and keeping a young puppy on a consistent routine. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or just some extra love and attention, I’m more than happy to follow their normal schedule so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I know how important it is to have someone that you trust with your pets, and I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I currently work full-time during the week, but I’m available for drop in visits before and after work, evening walks, and weekend care. My schedule is consistent, and I always make sure the pets I’m caring for get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and potty breaks. I dog sit and cat for my brother and friends very often and always make sure to send photos and messages about their pets while they are away! I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play. I always supervise outdoor time. I understand that every pet has different routines and needs, so I follow instructions closely, whether that is feeding schedules, medications, crate training, or favorite activities. I give my kitties lots of love and make sure they have toys around the house to play with while I am gone.
“Veronica is wonderful! She took such great care of Balto. She communicated with us every day and sent photos and videos. Balto settled in with her routine really quickly, and it was clear that he felt comfortable, happy and relaxed in her home. We highly recommend!”

“Bobbie and her husband were perfect hosts and caregivers for Sadie, our chihuahua corgi mix. She is getting old and and a little grouchy when confronted with large dogs or young energetic dogs. Being at Bobbie's place where she was the only dog and had no competition for human attention and affection was great with Sadie. She was healthy and happy when we returned to pick her up after our 10 day trip. Thanks, Bobbie!”

“Christopher, thank you so much for taking care of Wyatt this last week and for all the daily pics and updates. I feel like he really loved his time with you and your pets. It was probably a much more social environment for him that has been a positive experience for him. Thank you!”

“My puppy had the best time with Anakah! When we went to pick her up, she didn’t seem to want to leave. Anakah is friendly and welcoming, great with dogs, communicative and accommodating. We will definitely be back!”

“Lori is a great pet sitter, You can tell she’s really good with animals! I didn’t think Quincy was going to want to come home he really was welcomed and I know he had a fabulous time. I got pictures everyday I was on vacation and really am thankful for the great care she took of him. Absolutely recommended”

“Lauren was such a great choice for boarding my pup during the holidays. She was super patient and communicative as I tried navigating my first time away from sweet dog. Her picture updates everyday brought me so much peace knowing she was in such good hands and company! I would definitely choose her again for my pet sitting needs! I really appreciated all her help and kindness, my pup had the time of her life.”

“Karen is the most amazing pet lover! She took fabulous care of Emmie! We felt very confident in having her take care of our dog. They both hit it off when we first met! Daily we received a picture or a video complete with details about how well it was going! We highly recommend Karen! She included a sweet picture magnet of our dog for our fridge at home!”

“We had a very good experience with Nalleli. She was very friendly & loving with our dog. We told her that our dog did not have much social experience with other dogs. She worked to accommodate our dog’s need to make sure that things went smoothly. My wife & I highly recommend Nalleli to watch over your pets. We would definitely use her again. Thank you Nalleli for taking care of our dog.”

“Meghan was wonderful with our 6 year old yellow lab, Simba! She sent lots of pictures and we could tell our dog enjoyed his stay. He seemed to miss the interaction with her dog, family, her, & the other pups when he came home. Well definitely use Meghan, again.”

Michelle is caring and compassionate, especially with older dogs. She takes excellent care of my pups, treating them like her own ❤️ She is great with communication and I would highly recommend Michelle to take care of anyone's dogs, knowing they'll be in good hands! I plan on using Michelle as long as she'll have us - overall, she's wonderful! ❤️

Riley came home happy and super tired! Always a good sign that he enjoyed his stay! Thank you Debbie and Ryan for taking good care of him, and for the little updates & photos while he was with you. You have a lovely home, you're so kind, and I felt very content and at ease leaving him in your care. Many thanks to you!

Great experience! She took wonderful care of our 9-month-old Aussiedoodle for 24 hours. She was very flexible, communicated well, and sent us a picture of him playing in the backyard, which really put us at ease since it was his first night away from home. Highly recommend!

Veronica made our dogs feel at home and loved. One of our dogs has special needs (diabetes and blindness) and her meals and medications were timely, which is very important. Veronica and her husband were welcoming and accommodating to both of our dogs and we felt very comfortable leaving them for the weekend. We hope to bring our pups back for future trips!

If it were up to us, we would never use any other dog sitters/boarding place!!! We have been so happy and at peace with our dogs staying here every time. That, is an irreplaceable feeling. Such a sweet family and our pups have come home happy and healthy every time. Hope they don’t get sick of us. ;)

Emily was amazing with our lab Lucy. She was so quick to respond when we checked in or asked for pictures. Lucy seemed so happy to also be playing with other little doggie friends. She was very happy to accommodate her food allergies and supplements. We will definitely be back to use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
