“Kristina was amazing! Great with communication and updates. Our dog Bentley can have a bit of anxiety and through the whole trip I was never stressed due to her giving us such amazing updates. Bentley loved his stay with Kristina!”

“Deb was amazing!! Princess was well taken care of and being a proud Fur Baby mom I felt they enjoyed her as much as I do. She even made Princess a little scarf. Will definitely book again. ?”

“Hailey is amazing! I was nervous about leaving my dog, Potato, with someone new, but she quickly put all my worries to rest. From the very beginning, she was incredibly responsive and happy to answer every question and concern I had. It’s clear she doesn’t just watch animals - she truly cares for them and makes them feel like part of her family. Potato got all the love, cuddles, and playtime he could want. He was free to relax on the couch and even snuggle in bed, and Hailey made sure he had the perfect balance of outdoor fun and cool, air conditioned rest inside - which was especially important to me since his breed overheats easily. Her own dogs and cats are so sweet and gentle, and Potato fit right in. Honestly, it felt like he was on his own little vacation while we were away! Hailey kept us updated with plenty of pictures, and it was such a joy to see him happily playing with dogs of all sizes and ages. Knowing he was safe, comfortable, and having fun gave us total peace of mind. I can’t recommend Hailey enough. She has a lovely home with a big yard, amazing availability, and is so easy to communicate with. Most of all, she’s genuinely kind and trustworthy. We’ll definitely be calling on her for all our future trips!”

“I was extremely pleased with Abraham and how well the family cared for my Goldendoodle while I was on vacation. Abraham was a great communicator, and very pleasant to deal with. He was willing to make last minute adjustments to our dates and times and was very accommodating. I would highly recommend Abraham’s family when considering boarding your dog.”

“Felicia was very responsive with communication and sending pictures. Mia had a nice time with their family and I think she missed her son’s attention when she came home! We were very pleased with all aspects of the stay.”

“I can't say enough good things about Aimee and Derek. This was my first time being away from my 4 .month old Goodendoodle. They sent me daily pictures and updates on how and what my puppy was doing. I picked up Arlo and he was happy and healthy. I am thankful to this kind family for taking Arlo into their home and will definitely use them again.”

“Bobbie and her grand daughter were wonderful. This was our first time boarding our dog and she seemed very happy and content the whole time. Bobby sent pictures on day2 of pur dog with her grand daughter giving her belly rubs🥰”

“Nalleli and her family are awesome! This was the second time they watched our sweet golden doodle and we had no hesitations with them- we know she was safe and well taken care of! Nalleli’s communication is also quick and she worked with us with our travel got delayed! We would highly recommended them!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have always been around them! My dad does rover and I have helped him take them on walks, and fed them. I have a pretty flexible schedule and I am home most days with the occasional errand run. I love to workout as well so walking or running with the dogs would be great! I will give the pups plenty of attention and care that they need. I will also be flexible with the owners needs for their pet.
“Michael, Wendy and their sweet family were amazing with our Charlie! We joked that he might be disappointed to get picked up! It was wonderful to have such peace of mind knowing our puppers was in great hands.”

“Teaira (and her family!) were super sweet with my dog and were flexible and accommodating. She was well taken care of and it was so nice to not have to worry while we were away! I would definitely use her again to watch my pup.”

“Great overall experience would definitely recommend to others. This was our first time we had left our 7 year dog with someone who he was not familiar with and he came home not stressed at all. Thank you”

“Emily was SO amazing, she will be my go to when I leave town. Fenced back yard, sends photos every day! Walked my pup and kept me up to date on absolutely everything! Best rover experience ever”

“Melissa was a wonderful sitter for our dog. She did a great job of keeping us informed on what he was doing on a daily basis. There was a minor medical issue that popped up while he was in her care and she did a great job taking care of him thru that. She also bathed him and trimmed his nails. We will be having her watch him again for sure.”

“Selah had a great time meeting Chester. Looking forward to leaving Selah with Eva in the future. Eva was great adapting to changes in the schedule. Definitely a 5 star sitter.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Meridian
Desiree took exceptional care of our two Pomeranians for 10 days, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. She was reliable, caring, and made sure our pups were well-loved and comfortable while we were away. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We came home to two happy, healthy dogs, and it was obvious they had been well cared for. Desiree kept us updated and treated our dogs like they were her own. We highly recommend Desiree to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. We would absolutely book with her again. Thank you, Desiree, for taking such wonderful care of our fur babies!

Our dogs always love staying here!! One of our dogs had a cyst that needed some attention during her time with them and they were so helpful in getting her the care she needed post vet visit while we were away. It was nice to know she was in good hands when we couldn’t be with her! Highly recommend!

My Rudy Boy Loved, his stay! He was happy to see me, but was very happy with their two little Shih Tzu’s! I would use them again with no worries! She sent me several pictures with him playing, and even ended up, sleeping with them and her on the bed! What a wonderful time he had! Thank you so so much!

Great experience! She took wonderful care of our 9-month-old Aussiedoodle for 24 hours. She was very flexible, communicated well, and sent us a picture of him playing in the backyard, which really put us at ease since it was his first night away from home. Highly recommend!

Veronica made our dogs feel at home and loved. One of our dogs has special needs (diabetes and blindness) and her meals and medications were timely, which is very important. Veronica and her husband were welcoming and accommodating to both of our dogs and we felt very comfortable leaving them for the weekend. We hope to bring our pups back for future trips!

If it were up to us, we would never use any other dog sitters/boarding place!!! We have been so happy and at peace with our dogs staying here every time. That, is an irreplaceable feeling. Such a sweet family and our pups have come home happy and healthy every time. Hope they don’t get sick of us. ;)

Emily was amazing with our lab Lucy. She was so quick to respond when we checked in or asked for pictures. Lucy seemed so happy to also be playing with other little doggie friends. She was very happy to accommodate her food allergies and supplements. We will definitely be back to use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
