“Elizabeth and family were awesome to work with again. Took great care of our dog, sent daily updates, and took her on plenty of walks and plenty of play time. Will definitely use again!”

“Alisa was absolutely wonderful!! She sent me lots of pics and videos during my dog’s stay, always responded quickly, and was very accommodating. My dog is picky with her people and can be very anxious, but she loved Alisa and her husband. Thank you!!”

“Karin was great ! I dont know how she does it all between dog sitting & being a mom, but she does a great job. Seems to be a total natural response that she loves dogs. She had my dog, Stella, for a week and would send pics often. Stella was well taken care of. Thank you !”

“Michele is such a lover of Our fur baby Buddy. He snuggles her and she loves him right back. We love the photos and videos she sends sometimes multiple times a day. We love her and so does Buddy. He comes home pooped out from all the fun he has had. We are so grateful for Michele’s care for our baby. Hugs & kisses from our family to you.”

“We could not be happier or luckier to have Debbie and Ryan as a sitter for our golden. It's like a second home for him. They are the best! thank you Debbie and Ryan!”

“Angela was so easy to communicate with which was my biggest priority. From the moment I reached out and asked if she was available she was quick to reply with information, kindness, and availability. It was out first time leaving out puppy and she had a great time! I got pictures and videos throughout the week and it was incredible to now have to worry while on vacation. Would recommend.”

“Amanda was a great host!! It was Oliver’s first time with Rover and his first time away from us and Amanda did an amazing job in making both of us feel comfortable. She sent us lots of pictures so we knew he was happy! :) Definitely recommend her!”

“Felicia is amazing! She’s incredibly prompt, cares about your pet and is excellent with communication. I highly recommend her and plan to rebook again and again. I cannot say enough good things about her. She’s the perfect person to care for my dog. “Dusty seemed super happy and comfortable during his stay with Aimee and Derek! They were super friendly, accommodating, and kind. I’m so glad I found them because I hope to have Dusty stay with them again and again in the future if they’ll have him. Don’t hesitate to book with them-your pup will be in great hands!”

“Dee did a great job taking care of our dogs. She kept us up-to-date on how they were doing, complete with photos and videos, and tried to ease our older dog's stress of missing her Momma. Our younger dog enjoyed playing with her little dogs. We will definitely use her again. Thank you, Dee.”

“Awesome. Great family to snuggle and love other family loving dogs. Our Zuzu felt right at home. Will use all the time. Super accommodating to times for drop off and pickup on our airport route. Great Location.”

“This is our second time booking with them for our newest member of the family. They are always quick to respond and most likely importantly they have patience with our dogs . Would definitely book more in the future and I would recommend them to anyone else .”

“Kimberly is the best second home for our chocolate Lab, Gabby! She gives her so much love and attention, and it shows. When I came to pick Gabby up, she wasn’t in any hurry to leave—I think she was actually a little bummed her stay was over! 😊 It’s such a relief knowing she’s so well cared for, and we’ll definitely be using Kimberly again.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have always been around them! My dad does rover and I have helped him take them on walks, and fed them. I have a pretty flexible schedule and I am home most days with the occasional errand run. I love to workout as well so walking or running with the dogs would be great! I will give the pups plenty of attention and care that they need. I will also be flexible with the owners needs for their pet.
“Great experience with Eva! Ezzy was well cared for the the pictures that I received were so cute! She looked very happy! Awesome communication and I will definitely book with her again!”

“Our pups loved their time staying with Reese. She is kind, quick to respond to messages, and so easy to work with to coordinate pickup and drop off times. Thank you Reese for taking such great care of our dogs!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Garden City
Gentle person, Leaving my 3 furries for a week off grid, unable to obsess about them actively. Jazzi communicated with family throughout their stay and could not have been more gentle and caring in her approach with my precious cargo but ME too. They were happy, comfortable and right at home while away from home. Thank you for everything you do. You are a gift.
Reese was terrific! She was flexible to meet our scheduling needs including when our flight home was delayed. She kept us up to date about our pups and they were happy and healthy when we got them back. I would definitely recommend Reese and not hesitate to ask her to pet sit for us again in the future!

My regular sitter had an emergency arise at the last minute before a 10 day trip; I have a stubborn Frenchie, and a timid (and flight-risk) new rescued pup. Marie was able to take them in, sent updates daily that were really attentive to the dogs' personalities and needs --my rescue who was too nervous to eat and she worked to find something for her that finally coaxed her into having an appetite. Just the best.

Angela was absolutely wonderful! From the very beginning, she communicated so well and took the time to answer all of my questions, making sure I felt completely comfortable leaving my tiny baby with her. Since Phoebe is only 3.5 lbs, finding someone I could truly trust was so important. Throughout her stay, Angela sent daily updates, photos, and thoughtful messages that reassured me Phoebe was safe, happy, and getting so much love and attention. It gave me such peace of mind while I was away. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Phoebe had a fantastic stay, and we’ll definitely be back for more playdates. I highly recommend Angela to anyone looking for a caring, attentive, and trustworthy sitter!

Not even your hair dresser who sees you once a month may remember you. Not so with Alisa. It had been several months since my pups were with her, yet she readily remembered them and their respective quirks. Even better, they remembered her and by the wags of their tails as they left me, the pups knew they were in for another great stay!
Booked them for my parent’s dogs. Absolutely amazing experience for my parents and their dogs. Got the personalized care just like they were in their own home. We were looking for the dogs to get one on one human affection. The dogs got that and more. Definitely would recommend Andrea G. to anyone. We will be booking them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
