“This was our first time boarding our dog with Michelle after doing a few daycare sessions. She was so patient with our anxious little guy, he really struggled without us during the night. Michelle tried to accommodate him and make him comfortable doing a variety of things. Despite our pup not doing well, we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We also appreciated her transparency so we can try to work on this for next time. We’re grateful to have found her, I know it wasn’t an easy night.”

“Our dog Stella stayed with Karin for the second time this year - Stella was having a wonderful time and even went on a vacation with the family! Thank you for taking such good care of Stella!”

“Jill is a awesome sitter, reliable , communicative with photos , prompt responses. My dog is well cared for and loved in jills care. I have used her services several times and couldn’t be more pleased”

“My dog loves this family! She is engaged in lots of activities and is worn out by the end of the day. She loves all the attention! I never have to worry because I know she’s being taken care of and engaged in play more than she is at home.”

“DiDi had a wonderful stay! She kept me updated with lots of photos and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. It was clear that DiDi was happy and well cared for, and he had so much fun playing with Ryder. I would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Jan was so great to work with. She was easy to communicate with, and took good care of our Bella. Her two dogs are gorgeous and Bella got asking great with them both. Jan sent pictures and gave us occasional updates while we were away. Her property is lovely, with plenty of room for the dogs to play. We’d definitely recommend her and would leave Bella with her another time. Thanks so much!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have owned cats for more than 10 years, so I understand that every pet has their own personality. I also recently fostered a puppy, which gave me experience with potty training, playtime, and keeping a young puppy on a consistent routine. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or just some extra love and attention, I’m more than happy to follow their normal schedule so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I know how important it is to have someone that you trust with your pets, and I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I currently work full-time during the week, but I’m available for drop in visits before and after work, evening walks, and weekend care. My schedule is consistent, and I always make sure the pets I’m caring for get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and potty breaks. I dog sit and cat for my brother and friends very often and always make sure to send photos and messages about their pets while they are away! I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play. I always supervise outdoor time. I understand that every pet has different routines and needs, so I follow instructions closely, whether that is feeding schedules, medications, crate training, or favorite activities. I give my kitties lots of love and make sure they have toys around the house to play with while I am gone.
“Rosie is the kindest person you could hope to meet on this platform (or any). She took such good care of our Beagle that I worried he wouldn’t want to come back home. When we had a travel delay due to sickness overseas, Rosie worked with us to cover additional days, and while that flexibility cannot be taken for granted, it was a lifesaver this time around. I look forward to having Totti stay in Rosie’s care again. Nothing else would make us feel more secure when we travel in the future.”

“Elise took great care of my Georgie boy while I was out of town for a full week! She sent photos of him playing and sleeping and he looked so happy, which put my mind at ease while I was away. It's great to know I have another trustworthy option to board my dog if I have to travel.”

“Bob and Vicky love our dog as their own, and are so great with communication… We love all the pictures and videos! Our dog has the best time with them and loves going to play at their house! Thank you for taking such good care of our pup!!”

“Thank you so much, Lerin for taking such a good care of our precious Luna during her stay with you. Luna was welcomed into your home and we could tell she was comfortable in her new environment while making new friends with your adorable pups. Thank you for staying in touch and sending us daily updates. We loved the pictures and the funny narratives. Luna came home happy and stress free. We will certainly be reaching out again in the future!”

“Dylhan is a phenomenal sitter. Actually, she's more than a sitter...she treated my fur baby like he was family. Dylhan's home is geared for dogs and she had lots of toys, a doggy door and nice fenced in area outside. Her fur babies are well behaved and showed Konrad the ropes. I will continue to go to Dylhan and highly recommend her!”

“This was our first time having Susan watch our two goldendoodles. It went very well, and we were very comfortable while we were away knowing our doggies were in good hands. Great communication prior to, during and after the dog sitting. This went so well, we have already booked our next dog sitting with Susan. THANK YOU”

“Debbie and Ryan were phenomenal stepparents to our two fur babies. They took great care of them, providing consistent updates and tons of photos; which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to truly enjoy our vacation abroad. Despite our dogs struggling with separation anxiety they were comfortable and happy, receiving plenty of love, walks, and treats. Debbie even setup a kiddie pool to help our black GSD escape the summer heat. They truly went the extra mile, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Caldwell
Boomer had an awesome stay and was able to " dog hard"!! We got a great photo update daily and honestly, we wondered if he would want to leave at the end of his " summer camp"! We would wholeheartedly endorse these folks to care for your pooch!! We will use again whenever with no reservations!!

Fantastic reputable pet sitters! We got displaced from the big flood of Caldwell for a bit and had to have someone watch our three fur-babies for a night. They made sure to keep the cats as comfortable as possible in their own space and that the dog got to hang out with other dogs. I would recommend them 100%.

Jen was very sweet and accommodating when I asked for a meet and greet four days before our booking. She has 2 great dogs, that got along great with Charles. He seemed very happy when I left him and happy when I picked him up. She has a large, fully fenced yard that Charles seemed to love! Jen sent pictures without me even asking, which was GREAT! I would recommend Jen to anyone that needs their pup looked after. I did find out, however, that Charles does NOT get along with cats. :(

Veni is a fantastic dog sitter. Takes pictures throughout the day to make sure we know how she is doing. She also send texts telling us about our dog’s activities throughout the day. She lets us know if our dog is eating well, sleeping okay and what her overall demeanor is. We highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
