“I was nervous to leave my pup anywhere for a week, but after Daphne spent a wonderful day at Vanessa's doggy daycare, I felt completely at ease having her stay with Vanessa for the week. I really appreciated the photos and the updates I got while I was away, and I loved that Daphne had other pup-friends to play with all week. Thanks for caring for my girl, Vanessa!”

“Our Charlie was well taken care of while we were out of town. Karin kept us updated on Charlie via text messages. We are very pleased with the care Charlie received from Karin. Thank you so much!”

“Ashley and her family were fantastic with Eddie. I was very anxious about leaving him for so long and for the first time alone. But the second she opened the door for our Meet and Greet, Eddie walked right in and didn't park, and he always barks at new people. She sent pictures every day and gave us updates. It is comforting knowing that I have somewhere to take him whenever the need arises. I would highly recommend Ashley and Charles!!”

“Lerin was amazing with our beagle! She clearly has a love for pets and her kiddos were great with our pup. She provided several check ins with photos and video. We hope to use Lerin again for our Roxy!”

“If you treasure your dog you will want to leave him/her with Bob and Vicky. They went the extra mile of interacting with my sweet dog, Hetty. They walked her, played tug, and introduced new fun toys to her play time. They also took time to cuddle and pet her. In short, Hetty received the same loving treatment as their dog, Jax. Daily they sent updates on Hetty along with pictures and videos. I could tell Hetty was having as much fun at their house as I was having on vacation. I highly recommend them and will use them again.”

“Andrew was so great, he took our dogs pretty last minute and was so responsive. Great communication and sent picture while we were away. Will definitely use him again. Thank you!”

“Rosie is the kindest person you could hope to meet on this platform (or any). She took such good care of our Beagle that I worried he wouldn’t want to come back home. When we had a travel delay due to sickness overseas, Rosie worked with us to cover additional days, and while that flexibility cannot be taken for granted, it was a lifesaver this time around. I look forward to having Totti stay in Rosie’s care again. Nothing else would make us feel more secure when we travel in the future.”

“Amanda is wonderful to work with. We felt so comfortable with our dog Rocco staying with her. Rocco is always loved and taken good care of. Thank you Amanda for keeping us updated and sending pictures.”

“We are so grateful for Heather! She is extremely responsive and kind, and Murphy had a great time. It was our first Rover experience and we have a dog who has some particular needs, and we were so pleased with the experience. Thank you, Heather!”

“Jillian and her family were wonderful with our dog. They incorporated him into their lives and he had a great stay and was even sad to leave. While it was great to get home, he missed her kids and all their attention. I would definitely recommend Jullian.”

“There aren't enough good things that I can say about Chad and his family! Not only was he super responsive, but I definitely felt like my dog was in good hands. Throughout my trip, I received many photo updates, usually when my dog was out and about playing with other pups. Having someone that you can depend on is paramount and I hit the jackpot with Chad. THANK YOU!!! P.S. Jovie says hello 🙂”

“Carol was wonderful with our energetic 1 y/o chocolate lab. She was very quick at responding and keeping in touch. We were on a road trip with our 4 year old son, and Carol was very understanding and flexible when our arrival times shifted a bit. She was so friendly and understood dogs & their behaviors. I will definitely book her again when we are in the area. Thank you, Carol!”

“Dylan watched my dog at his apartment over a long weekend and it went great! I got photo updates and easily coordinated drop of / pick up with fast response times. Would use Dylan’s dog walking services again.”

About: We have a mini golden doodle who is almost 5 years old, and two teenagers who love dogs and can give our dogs boarding here lots of love. We have a backyard they can play in. I work primarily from home. It's important that the dog is crate trained for the few hours I work on Mondays and Wednesdays (I'm gone for about 4 hours) and we crate our dogs at night. Otherwise they're free to roam and I can take them outside/on walks daily. We love to snuggle and care for pets as a family. We can keep an eye on their behaviors to see if there are any concerns and update you with pictures and texts.
“Rhea took such good care of our girl. She gives the dogs a nice long walk every day. I love that she only takes a dog or two at a time because it felt like Bailey got lots of attention. We would happily book with Rhea again anytime (and we will!) Thank you!”
“Our dog, Zoey, stayed with Dave over the Thanksgiving holidays. I was a little worried because Zoey has never stayed in someone’s home with other dogs and cats. It was a great experience for Zoey! Dave constantly sent photos of Zoey interacting with the other dogs so we were able to relax and enjoy our holiday. We will definitely use Dave again!”

“Kimberly and her family were absolutely fantastic! They provided continuous photos and updates during our dog Laika's almost 2-week stay. She went above and beyond and truly made Laika feel like a part of their family and made us feel very secure while we were thousands of miles away. I highly recommend Kimberly and her family for any stay.”

“Michelle was such a great dog sitter while I was away for two weeks! She was very responsive, sent photos throughout my trip and I felt like my active border collie was well take care of. It was one of my first times dropping off my dog with another person outside of my family (espically for two weeks) and Michelle was so supportive, patient and encouraging when navigating meet and greets between our dogs. She’s someone who really understands dogs. It was a relief to find care like Michelle’s on Rover and I look forward to using her services next time I’m on a trip!”

They were absolutely amazing with my puppies. Jessica was the sweetest lady I think I've ever met. Took care of my babies really well. They're shy and a, little standoffish and Jessica was extremely patient and easy with them. Again they did a really really good job. Definitely recommend letting them watch your fur babies

Fantastic reputable pet sitters! We got displaced from the big flood of Caldwell for a bit and had to have someone watch our three fur-babies for a night. They made sure to keep the cats as comfortable as possible in their own space and that the dog got to hang out with other dogs. I would recommend them 100%.

Jen was very sweet and accommodating when I asked for a meet and greet four days before our booking. She has 2 great dogs, that got along great with Charles. He seemed very happy when I left him and happy when I picked him up. She has a large, fully fenced yard that Charles seemed to love! Jen sent pictures without me even asking, which was GREAT! I would recommend Jen to anyone that needs their pup looked after. I did find out, however, that Charles does NOT get along with cats. :(

Veni is a fantastic dog sitter. Takes pictures throughout the day to make sure we know how she is doing. She also send texts telling us about our dog’s activities throughout the day. She lets us know if our dog is eating well, sleeping okay and what her overall demeanor is. We highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
