“Ellie looked very happy and comfortable with Bob and Vicky. She loved the large backyard to run around and relax in and enjoyed her daily walks. They treated her as if she was their own pet. She quickly warmed up and was comfortable around Jax. Based on the daily videos and pictures we received from Bob and Vicky we enjoyed our vacation because we knew she was in a safe and loving home.”

“If you are looking for the best dog sitter ever, you have found her! Jill is a caring, kind, dog loving person. Our dog stayed with her for almost two weeks and we were concerned that she wouldn't want to come home! Jill sent pictures of their adventures on walks, playtime at home, and even of their snuggle time. We would highly recommend Jill!”

“Our dog Stella stayed with Karin for the second time this year - Stella was having a wonderful time and even went on a vacation with the family! Thank you for taking such good care of Stella!”

“My dog was happy that here. She constantly taking her on her walks and she loves that. Gave her a shower after asking and she came home fluffed and puffed. I recommend this woman, as she loves animals and she will send pictures if you want. I will be using her again and again when we can’t take ours with us. Very nice person, in and out. She wants to take of them and a great job of it.”

“We feel so lucky to have found Susan to watch Ruger - she treated him like family and picked up on all his little quirks. We could tell he was so happy! We will definitely be back.”

“First time using this service, it was a great experience. My dog was treated like their own. Very nice family I would highly recommend Cali. She sent me updates and pictures throughout his stay and we definitely would use them again.”

“Emily has been watching our dog, Coda, on many multiple-day stays and has done a wonderful job. Coda takes meds twice/day and has issues with stairs/jumping; Emily takes the time to understand Coda's limitations and takes extra special care of her. And her dog, Molly, is very gentle and great with other dogs. We are moving out-of-state next month and will miss having Emily as our dog-sitter SO much. Thanks, Emily, for always giving us peace of mind when we left Coda with you!”

“Kimberly was a fantastic host for my Lily. Her home was warm and loving - playful and open. Lily seemed relaxed and happy when I picked her up. I'll definitely consider another stay with them!”

“Alyssa and Jacob were amazing hosts! Will definitely use them again for Fritz. Great communication. We got a lot of updates and he looked like he had a blast! Came back very happy which was nice to see as Fritz can be nervous and shy in new places!”

“Michael, Wendy and their sweet family were amazing with our Charlie! We joked that he might be disappointed to get picked up! It was wonderful to have such peace of mind knowing our puppers was in great hands.”

“I can't say enough good things about Aimee and Derek. This was my first time being away from my 4 .month old Goodendoodle. They sent me daily pictures and updates on how and what my puppy was doing. I picked up Arlo and he was happy and healthy. I am thankful to this kind family for taking Arlo into their home and will definitely use them again.”

About: We have loved and cared for dogs nearly all our lives. We don’t just see them as pets; they are family members who deserve all the comfort and attention we can give. We are currently the proud family of Pippie, and we both play an active role in her care. Since I work from home full-time, your dog will never be lonely. Pippie is the best of both worlds - she loves to play and hang out with other dogs, but she also loves to just relax and nap. We know how hard it is to leave your furry friend behind, which is why we’re committed to providing a trustworthy, safe, and loving environment. We’ll treat your dog exactly how we treat our own—with patience, care, and plenty of affection. Because I work from home full-time, I am here to provide constant supervision, mid-day potty breaks, and companionship. Our routine revolves around Pippie's needs—mornings start with playtime and breakfast, followed by several play sessions throughout the day to burn off energy, and she usually naps under my desk as I work. With my husband and daughter coming and going, there is a constant rotation of attention. Someone is always available to care for your pet. Your dog won't just be 'fitting in' to our schedule; they will be part of our family activities, from lounging in my office while I work to evening play in the yard. We treat our guests’ schedules—like specific feeding times or medication needs—with the same priority as our own. In our home, your dog is treated like a member of the family. We have a fully fenced-in backyard, which allows for safe, off-leash playtime. Our care routine is built on consistency and comfort: Feeding & Hydration: We stick to a twice-a-day feeding schedule (or whatever your specific routine requires), and fresh water is always available. Active Supervision: Since I work from home, I provide constant supervision. Your pet will never be left unattended in the yard. Affection: We are a 'cuddle-heavy' household! Whether it’s lounging nearby while I work or getting extra attention from my husband and daughter, your dog will be showered with love. Personalized Care: We understand every dog is different. Whether they need high-energy play in the yard or a quiet spot to nap, we adapt our day to meet their specific personality and needs.
“I was extremely pleased with Abraham and how well the family cared for my Goldendoodle while I was on vacation. Abraham was a great communicator, and very pleasant to deal with. He was willing to make last minute adjustments to our dates and times and was very accommodating. I would highly recommend Abraham’s family when considering boarding your dog.”

“Fantastic! Was really patient with our skittish kitties and great with our dog. 10/10 will book again any time I need someone to watch our fur babies. She immediately made us comfortable with leaving our precious babies with her and even helped us with a little accident during transportation. Worth every penny ☺️”

“We never have to worry about our dog while he’s in carols care. We know she takes very good care of him and treats him as he is hers. As soon as we know we have to go out of town we sign on with carol. It’s like dropping our dog off at a relatives home so much better than taking him to the kennel”

“Brieanna was great! Our dogs loved the weekend with her family. Brieanna was flexible with our schedule and was easy to work with. She even sent us update pictures of our pups having fun!”

“We loved our first experience with Jillian and her family and we are now repeat costumers. Thank you Jillian for loving our furry friend and caring for him while we were away.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Caldwell
Fantastic reputable pet sitters! We got displaced from the big flood of Caldwell for a bit and had to have someone watch our three fur-babies for a night. They made sure to keep the cats as comfortable as possible in their own space and that the dog got to hang out with other dogs. I would recommend them 100%.

Jen was very sweet and accommodating when I asked for a meet and greet four days before our booking. She has 2 great dogs, that got along great with Charles. He seemed very happy when I left him and happy when I picked him up. She has a large, fully fenced yard that Charles seemed to love! Jen sent pictures without me even asking, which was GREAT! I would recommend Jen to anyone that needs their pup looked after. I did find out, however, that Charles does NOT get along with cats. :(

Veni is a fantastic dog sitter. Takes pictures throughout the day to make sure we know how she is doing. She also send texts telling us about our dog’s activities throughout the day. She lets us know if our dog is eating well, sleeping okay and what her overall demeanor is. We highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
