“Jill is truly the best of the best! Jill requested a meet and greet with her pups and all worked out so this was the first doggy boarding experience with her of three days while I traveled out of state. Jill’s property is large and beautiful, she has BLM land to play and exercise behind her house and two adorable dogs that my beloved Dooku could have fun and exercise with. Jill is very friendly, outgoing, patient and very communicative. Jill and her dogs immediately greeted Dooku with affection from the onset and I felt at ease knowing he was in good hands while traveling. When I returned home, Dooku was happy and I could tell he had a great time…first time he ever fell asleep upon coming home. 👏👏🐕🦺🐾 Jill is truly special and genuine with your lil critters and I highly recommend Jill! Thanks again Jill…You’re Bomb! 💕”

“We feel so lucky to have found Susan to watch Ruger - she treated him like family and picked up on all his little quirks. We could tell he was so happy! We will definitely be back.”

“I am so thankful to have found Bonnie and her family!! They were wonderful with my huge Goldendoodle, Bentley. She and her family loved on him, played w him and took great care of him! She was great about sending me pictures and updates! Can't say enough good things!!”

“Our dog Stella stayed with Karin for the second time this year - Stella was having a wonderful time and even went on a vacation with the family! Thank you for taking such good care of Stella!”

“DiDi had a wonderful stay! She kept me updated with lots of photos and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. It was clear that DiDi was happy and well cared for, and he had so much fun playing with Ryder. I would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“I highly recommend Colleen and her family to care for your beloved pets. Our two dachshunds spent over a week in the loving care of Colleen’s family while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our dogs were treated like royalty. They stayed right in the house with the family, cuddled on the couch, sat on their laps, and even got to sleep with Colleen’s wonderful son. It was clear they were loved and cared for as if they were part of the family. Throughout our vacation, Colleen sent us photos and updates of our dogs, which gave us such peace of mind. When we picked them up, they were happy, healthy, relaxed, and completely at home with Colleen and her family. If you’re looking for someone who will love and care for your pets as if they were their own, I wholeheartedly recommend Colleen. We are so grateful for the exceptional care she provided and will absolutely trust her with our dachshunds again.”

“Our dog, Zoey, stayed with Dave over the Thanksgiving holidays. I was a little worried because Zoey has never stayed in someone’s home with other dogs and cats. It was a great experience for Zoey! Dave constantly sent photos of Zoey interacting with the other dogs so we were able to relax and enjoy our holiday. We will definitely use Dave again!”

“Grappa LOVED his stay with Kerry and family! He came home happy and exhausted. We had no cell service during our trip away, but we were so delighted to see so many great photos and updates of Grappa when we returned. I would Highly recommend a stay with Kerry, and we will request a booking in the future. On a side note, Kerry's location is excellent for any Idaho raft trips you are not comfortable taking a pup on. We were floating the Middle Fork and her location was excellent for our travel, and there are great tent site/RV parks in close proximity for an easy drop-off and pick-up. Thank you so very much Kerry! Lot's of Love from Grappa”

“Tereza did such a wonderful job with my pup. She kept me in the loop with pictures and updates the entire time. Will definitely be booking again. She went above and beyond and even surprised us with a present at the end I am very pleased and impressed. Thank you! High recommend.”
“Riley came home happy and super tired! Always a good sign that he enjoyed his stay! Thank you Debbie and Ryan for taking good care of him, and for the little updates & photos while he was with you. You have a lovely home, you're so kind, and I felt very content and at ease leaving him in your care. Many thanks to you!”

“Bre is amazing!!! So good with Banjo. Sent lots of pictures of his having a blast with her dog and others who were there. She is very responsive, kind, helpful and friendly!!! Would highly recommend and will use again!!!”

“Lerin was very accommodating when I had last minute flights changed and communicative throughout Lady’s stay. I received pictures daily and could clearly see Lady’s was well taken care of. Will use Lerin in the future!”

“Allison is such an angel! She cared for my baby Max through his worst days of having cancer. Thank you for all the love and care you showed Max through this difficult time, we both appreciate you so much! ❤️🩹🙏🏼”
“Andrew was so great, he took our dogs pretty last minute and was so responsive. Great communication and sent picture while we were away. Will definitely use him again. Thank you!”

“Dylhan is amazing! She and her lovely family took such great care of Ginger. I can tell she enjoyed her time in their lovely home, and she was cared for as one of the family. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
