About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person caring for yours. I provide attentive, home-style care with plenty of affection, playtime, exercise, and frequent potty breaks. I currently have two dogs of my own—an 16-year-old Jack Russell Terrier and a 7-year-old Labrador Retriever. Caring for dogs with very different ages and needs has given me experience with everything from energetic playtime and daily exercise to the extra patience and attention senior dogs require. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I understand the importance of following each dog’s normal routine, keeping them safe and comfortable, and giving them plenty of individual attention while their family is away. I’m dependable, patient, and will care for every dog as if they were one of my own. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. My day revolves around feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and making sure my own dogs are happy and comfortable. Adding another dog to our routine feels natural, and I have the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, exercise, companionship, and updates so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for. Life at our home is all about keeping dogs happy, safe, and comfortable. We have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play, explore, and burn off energy. My two dogs—a gentle 18-year-old Jack Russell Terrier and a friendly 7-year-old Labrador Retriever—have helped create a calm, dog-friendly environment. Whether your pup loves to play outside or prefers relaxing indoors, they’ll receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while feeling right at home. I have a fenced yard and two We go for walks twice a day and there’s no shortage of treats unless otherwise specified.

“Second time booking Alinda for our cat. She is great! She sends photos and we can tell that our cat is well taken care of when we come home. Thank you!”

About: I have a calm, loving energy that dogs naturally feel drawn to and relaxed by, and making new dog friends is my favorite part of being a pet sitter! I have spent my adult life living in and caring for community spaces and relations, children, animals and gardens, and I am innately dedicated to routine, safety, and responsibility, to create functional and peaceful environments. I communicate clearly and consistently so you can always know how your pet is doing! A little about me: I’m an artist with an old soul and a playful spirit. I’m comfortable with big dogs, shy cats, energetic pups, and everything in between. Their uniqueness is a part of their perfectness, and I can't help but fall in love with their honest self expression! We’ll go for long walks, smell the plants, and lay on the ground for belly rubs. I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and deeply loved! I’m a student at Boise State, and I always have time gaps in my day that are perfect for dropping in to give pets a potty break, some playtime, or just a little love and company. Weekends are completely open for me, so I have lots of time for longer stays and house sitting. Spending time with animals is one of the highlights of my day, so it’s a really nice balance for school, and I look forward to it! I care for pets in their own home so they feel safe and comfortable in their routine. I follow your instructions closely, keep things tidy, and treat your pets like family. You can count on regular updates and photos so you always know they’re happy and cared for.
“Sarah always does a fantastic job. Its always scary leaving my very senior (and grumpy) kitty in someone else's hands but I know he is well cared for by Sarah. I hope to continue to book with her for all my future trips.”

“Josey was absolutely fantastic for our pups Sailor and Zazu. She communicates well, often, and is thoughtful in asking questions. If you are like me it is the most comforting to have someone you trust, your dogs love, and shows up for them when they need her. I will absolutely be checking to see if Josey is available for future visits!”

“Liz and Anna were great. It’s pretty apparent they love dogs as my pups were in good hands. They were also very thoughtful in their questions to understand my needs while I was away. Highly recommend them!”

“Mikayla is so great with my cat! He definitely looks forward to anyone who comes to the front door being her, and when it’s not he is visibly disappointed. She is reliable and takes the best pictures while she’s taking care of my boy!”

About: As a long-time animal-lover, I’ll happily care for your dog while you’re away or bring them along for a walk or hike with my own pups. We currently have two dogs and cat so I have plenty of experience to make your fur baby feel safe, loved, and cared for ❤️ I work remotely and get to spend all day with my pups. We usually go out for two shorts walks a day and then a longer walk or hike after work. Whenever meeting a new pet, I give them the space to feel safe around me. I think it’s important to let them warm up to me on their own accord. In terms of physical safety, I always ensure that pets are securely harnessed and leashed before we head out.
“We hit the jackpot with Phedre! My dogs are happy and so am I. This is my first time using Rover and she gave me so many safe tips. I already knew I trusted Phedre when I first met her, but all of her knowledge and getting to know her a little really confirmed all my good vibes I was getting. Thank you Phedre!!!”

“Kaylah was fantastic and so flexible with our changing needs. I really felt like she cared about doing what was best for the dogs, not just checking off a task. She really went above and beyond and I would definitely recommend her!”

“Erin is a delight to work with. She really cares. She also provided really insightful and clear updates and pictures. I’ll add she has a great sense of humor too. We really appreciated her and felt that our two Yorkies were in great hands.. Thanks Erin ❤️❤️❤️👍”

“We booked Alisa for a long trip we had planned. (9 days) From the very first meet & greet, my kitties were relaxed, curious and friendly with her. She did an awesome job. She arrived on time, and from the photos, I could see the cats were curious and slowly getting to know her. She gave me just enough little commentary to know all was well and to bring me a few smiles. She reached out with a couple of relevant questions. She also made our homecoming so great...all the trash was taken out, she vacuumed up the kitty litter that they always spill out, and it was clear that they were happy campers. Thanks so much Alisa, we look forward to having you back when we travel again.”

“Niki was amazing! She is clearly a professional and caring person. I highly recommend her, she made me feel very comfortable trusting her with my pet. Her updates, communication, and attention to detail are supreme.”

“Alanah did an amazing job caring for our little cat Mumble! She’s a great communicator and keeps a watchful eye on our pet’s moods and wellbeing. We loved all the pictures included in the visit, and we’ll continue booking with her because she’s fantastic!❤️”

Phoenix (Lea H.) did a great job checking in on my new puppy while I was gone for a couple of hours. This was the first time I would be absent from the house in the two weeks since I have had him and I was very anxious about leaving my 10-week old puppy alone in his crate. Phoenix put me at ease with her knowledge of "all things puppy" and her pleasant, quiet demeanor. I was especially grateful she sent me a picture of my sweet Bobby, and kept me informed of his activities. All things seemed to go quite well and I am much relieved. I would definitely ask Phoenix (Lea) to watch him again.

Alie was extremely communicative and punctual with visits! It’s clear that she cared about our cats and their wellbeing as much as we do. She sent plenty of pictures and updates, and was so patient and gentle that our extremely shy boy came out of hiding for her! We don’t travel a ton but if we do again in the future, we will 100% be rebooking with Alie.

Ciera and James have been wonderful with drop-in visits for Knox! They communicate really well, are reliable, and take great care of him during each visit. I always feel confident knowing Knox is in good hands with them. They’re attentive to his needs and treat him with genuine care. I would definitely recommend Ciera and James and will happily have them look after Knox again!

Stephani was amazing! She sent me photos and updates on the boys (our cats) each day. She was even able to coax them out of hiding to eat on the 3rd day. They are very frightened of people they don’t know. She also brought in a package that was left on our front porch. We have already booked with her for upcoming care fr the boys. I highly recommend and trust Stephani!

I’ve booked with Kristi a couple times now, and I feel so much better about traveling knowing my kitties are well taken care of and checked in on while I’m gone. The daily updates and photos are really appreciated, and I know the kitties like having company. I highly recommend booking with Kristi!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
