“So nice to have Ron take care of Pig, our loveable but easily frightened Himalayan during a recent out-of-town trip to see family. We came back to a healthy, happy cat, which was so wonderful. Definitely plan to use Ron for our next trip!”

“Emma & Peter are the best cat sitters, I’ve used them a couple of times now! They don’t just stop in and feed your animals, they spend quality time giving them some extra love and take pictures to send to you. About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have owned cats for more than 10 years, so I understand that every pet has their own personality. I also recently fostered a puppy, which gave me experience with potty training, playtime, and keeping a young puppy on a consistent routine. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or just some extra love and attention, I’m more than happy to follow their normal schedule so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I know how important it is to have someone that you trust with your pets, and I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I currently work full-time during the week, but I’m available for drop in visits before and after work, evening walks, and weekend care. My schedule is consistent, and I always make sure the pets I’m caring for get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and potty breaks. I dog sit and cat for my brother and friends very often and always make sure to send photos and messages about their pets while they are away! I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play. I always supervise outdoor time. I understand that every pet has different routines and needs, so I follow instructions closely, whether that is feeding schedules, medications, crate training, or favorite activities. I give my kitties lots of love and make sure they have toys around the house to play with while I am gone.

About: Hi, I’m Hailey! I’ve had a deep love for animals since I was little—always rescuing, adopting, or begging my family to let me bring home every creature I found (yes, even bugs and fish!). Caring for animals is second nature to me, and I’d love the opportunity to give your pets the same love and attention I give my own. My home is full of love and energy. I have an 12 year-old son who is gentle, playful, and absolutely adores animals. I also have a sweet 4 year-old who keeps to herself and doesn’t interact much but loves watching the pets. Rest assured, your furry (or scaly🤪!) friends will be safe, spoiled, and treated like family here. I’m currently looking to do something I genuinely love—helping care for animals—while also earning a little extra to support my family. Your pets will be in loving, responsible hands. I can’t wait to meet them! During the summer, I have open availability, so your pets will have around-the-clock care and attention. I’m home all day and rarely leave except for quick errands. During the school year, I still offer boarding and daytime care—I work very close to home and always come back during lunch to check in. My schedule is flexible and I’m committed to making it work for you and your pets. I’m available for boarding on both weekdays and weekends. Just let me know when you need care, and I’ll do my best to help however I can. Your pets will be loved, spoiled, and safe here—just like family. We have a big fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, play, or just relax. I also have friendly dogs who love company, but if your pet prefers space or alone time, I’ll make sure their needs are fully respected. I can easily crate your dog if needed or wanted, but we’re big cuddlers over here and love letting animals sleep with us or on the couch with if that’s something your pet enjoys and that’s something you are okay with. :)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Meridian
We had a great experience! She took wonderful care of our dog, followed all of our instructions exactly, and kept us updated with photos and messages throughout each visit, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. She also spent time hanging out with our dog instead of just stopping by to feed and leave, and that meant a lot to us. On top of that, she was willing to help us on very short notice after our original plans fell through, and we really appreciated her flexibility. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative Rover sitter!

Ava was so attentive & thoughtful with all of my animals. She followed all the directions I left & even went above & beyond! I loved all the photos I recieved & detailed updates. She was so communicative & professional. I never had to worry about my pets which made my vacation so much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend booking with her!

Olivia is definitely someone you want to look after your fur babies. She has a warm presence and truly loves animals. She is so genuine and really cared about making our pet feel loved while we were away. She was so incredibly professional, is kind hearted and Leo our cat loved her immediately! She was super communicative, easy going, trustworthy and thoughtful. We loved her picture updates and sweet handwritten note with Leo’s well being while we were away. Look no further she’s your gal! Definitely found our sitter!

She was also highly professional and accommodating when my schedule changed. I will absolutely be using her again and recommend her to anyone in need of a reliable, caring dog sitter! Thank you so much!

Krys did a fantastic job keeping Kenji company and making sure his needs were met. It was easy to tell she is experienced, making us much more comfortable to leave our pet at home even. Krys was able to administer Kenji’s daily medication, play and interact with him to keep him happy, provided consistent updates via text as well as photos/videos, and even cleaned up a mess that he made. I highly recommend Krys to watch and take care of your pets

Sharene was literally a LIFESAVER! At the last minute, a neighbor told me she was not able to pet sit for me and I had already left on my trip!! Thankfully, Sharene answered my plea for last minute help (same day even!) to check in daily for my 2 cats and make sure they were healthy & happy while I was thousands of miles away. I thank my lucky stars to have found Sharene and will DEFINITELY request her saintly services for my 2 fur babies the next time I need to travel… thank you a ma-billion times Sharene, I appreciate you more than words can express!!

Casey was great with our elderly little guy. She took great care of him. She was able to do drop-in visits for us twice a day to give medicine & food. She took him out for walks and sent us lots of pictures. It was great to see some pics of him each day and to get updates. I felt comfortable with her coming into our home and checking on our dog. We will be using Casey again!

Sierra was an excellent sitter. I haven’t ever used rover before but I knew about it from others. Right away she was close to where I lived and had great reviews. She was quick and responsive, immediately making me feel at ease leaving town while she cared for my cat. While I was gone she sent pictures and kept my cat company. I could tell he was comfortable and loved in each photo. She went above and beyond every chance she could to make my cat feel loved and kept me up to speed the whole time. I will definitely be using her again in the future and you should too!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
