I’ve had dogs all my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My dog passed of old age and the house is so quiet without him. I’m not ready for a new dog of my own but would love to help care for others until my heart is ready for a new one. If your pup is staying the night in my home they might get a little spoiled. Mornings are for back yard stretching and breakfast. Im home all day for work so plenty of time to spend in the yard or cuddled on the many dog beds in the house. Evenings are for hikes in the foothills or walks on the greenbelt or a dip in the water. Night time is for cuddles and snoozes. When you’re away and they need a pal, I’m there to take excellent care of them and offer whatever they need while you’re gone. I stick to whatever rules you keep in your home so that we don’t start bad habits. Ask me if you have any special circumstances that you want to know that I can handle. I’m really flexible and want to make it a good experience for you and your buddy.

Emily sent me regular written updates & pictures while watching my dog which reassured me he was being taken care of very well.
Brought our dog home after her first multi-night stay. She appears healthy & happy! Emily sent frequent photos of Nikki doing the things she loves to do. She also said she took her for evening walks, keeping her routine similar to the one we have for her at home.
This was my small dog's first time staying with Emily. We discovered that Emily has a friendly, affectionate, calm manner that put Nikki at ease right away. I knew she had enjoyed her stay when she didn't seem in a hurry to leave! Also, I could tell by the photos Emily sent throughout the day, that Nikki felt comfortable there, both indoors and out.
Emily is just wonderful! She is flexible in working with our schedule, as well as with the quirks and neediness of our GSP. Shortly after arriving for his first stay, he was relaxing on his back! What a relief in knowing that she gained his trust and he felt so comfortable with her. She is a blessing!

Schedule
I work from home and love to spend time in the backyard during the day while I work. So your pet will have plenty of time in fresh air. Evenings are great for a walk on the greeenbelt or a dip in the river.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a decent size backyard, plenty of dog beds in the house. I know all the local vets and emergency services available if needed. I’ve had puppies, senior dogs and dogs with special needs including deaf.
A typical day
Hikes in the foothills. Cuddles on the couch. Fresh air in the back yard. Walks on the greenbelt. I’m here to keep them comfortable and entertained while you’re away
