We love our doggy friends!
We have really enjoyed caring for all the dogs who have stayed with us. We love taking them on walks and cuddling them and making sure they feel comfortable and secure while their moms and dads are away. I volunteered at the anchorage animal shelter for 6 years so I have plenty of experience with many types of dogs and cats. I have had my own dogs for many years and adore my shih tzu and corgi. Going on dog walks is my favorite part of the day. We have a cat named Dumbledore who is a goofy fun sweetie. She mostly does her own thing. We love animals and taking care of them.

Dogs were well taken care of for our extended vacation. Karin provided daily photo updates of their walks and other random cute moments. Greatly appreciate her.

This was our first time using Rover. We had a long vacation planned and also a new puppy at home. We needed to find a place that would take care of a puppy with their specific needs while we were gone. Glad we discovered Karin. We really appreciated how she kept us informed on how our pup was doing while we were gone, including sending us pictures of him enjoying himself at her place. We were grateful that when we picked him up, he seemed relaxed and happy. He must have had a great time socializing with other pups and even Karin’s kiddos. We would definitely use Karin again if the need arose.

Schedule
we prefer no pick up or drop offs before 7 am (so the kids dont get such an early start to their days :) and no pick up or drop offs after 8 pm (so the kids dont get woken up and think the day is starting all over again😂) I’m very flexible so feel free to coordinate times that work for you. Our doggy guests fit right into our daily routine. We do walkies and rest time then additional walkies and rest time. They can play in the backyard and are free to enjoy wherever they feel comfortable inside our home.

I have a large fenced in yard for potty breaks and play time. We typically do a loop around the block 2 x a day and when the kids are all in school i take the pups on a longer walk to the park.

A typical day
We love going on long dog walks and playing frisbee or ball in the yard. We can take the pups to the meridian dog park if parents are okay with that.
