“Sarah always does a fantastic job. Its always scary leaving my very senior (and grumpy) kitty in someone else's hands but I know he is well cared for by Sarah. I hope to continue to book with her for all my future trips.”

“Repeat client here, and there’s a reason we continue to use Tiffany every single time, she’s simply the best. From a practical standpoint, consistency and trust matter, and Tiffany delivers on both. She has taken care of Toots multiple times for drop-ins and walks, and every experience has been seamless. Toots can be particular, and Tiffany just gets her. That level of understanding isn’t luck, it’s skill and genuine care. What this means is I never have to second-guess anything. Tiffany is reliable, communicative, and always ensures Toots is safe, exercised, and well cared for. More importantly, Toots clearly enjoys her time with her, which says everything. In reality, when you find someone this dependable and attentive, you don’t keep searching, you stick with them. Highly recommend Tiffany. We’ll continue booking her again and again ❤️:”

“Thank you so much for looking in on him Christin! He was super excited to have me home and was very meowy all night long (which is expected). He looks like he is doing great!”

“Emily did an excellent job taking care of our dogs, they really enjoyed her, she brought in the mail and watered our plants we will book her again any time, thank you the Sorensens”

“Kelsey was so great with my kitty. She took such good care of her and spent much quality time with her such that when I got back it was like I never left. Totally recommend her services.”

“Extremely reliable, trustworthy, friendly and professional. Brought a note pad to take notes on my instructions. Brought my mail in and a package. Pays great attention to my dog and seems to really enjoy her work. Have used 3 or 4 times now, never disappoints.”

“Meredith is the best pet sitter I’ve ever had. You could not ask for more. Very responsive, goes above and beyond what’s needed, has a real feeling for what your pet needs. Outstanding. I’m so grateful.”

About: I love taking care of animals and have for awhile now! Each animal is unique in thier own ways and I love that about them! Always have big personalities! I am currently a grad student getting my doctorate in physical therapy. I am doing half online and half in person where I travel to CO for midterms and finals. I do not work currently and am home most days doing schoolwork! I would rather not take care of animals attempt place as it is not set up well to give the best care. I have 1 pet (cat) at home that is my roommates and I’s.
“Phedre has continued to be a very reliable person to take care of my very special pup! She has been available on a short notice, and Poots gives her 4 paws!! Thank you for being the special person in his life!”

About: I have taken care of my family’s pets for the last 18 years since getting my cat and had four dogs (puppies and seniors) that I have helped train or significantly taken care of. I’m currently a student doing an unpaid internship in Boise over the summer looking to spend time with animals while making a some money. My family’s pets are back in Wisconsin. I prefer early mornings and evenings scheduling but very flexible and can do drop-ins during lunch/early afternoon. Available all days of the week and available for house sitting, walking, and drop-ins but no boarding this summer. I will care for you pet in way that suits them and make them feel at home while ensuring safety and security with lots of love. I comfortable adjusting to meet the needs and the routine you have with your pets.
“Liz and Anna were great with my pups while I was away for a few days. They had great communication and provided updates and photos which helped me be able to enjoy my time away without anxiety and worry. I highly recommend them.”

“Jordan did a fantastic job with our drop in visits! She arrived on time and made sure our pups had ample play time. She provided photos and a summary after each visit. Highly recommend!”
About: I have experience caring for all kinds of small and big animals, including pets, farm animals, and even wild animals with conservation organizations. I love learning all the details of what constitutes the best care for each animal! I'm pretty good at basic training with dogs and puppies, and even kitties!! I give kitty and doggy massage and (reiki) energy, animals can feel our energy for sure! Sometimes I can intuitively pick up on little changes that could really help them. I'm a self-employed entrepreneur. I teach some yoga therapy clients, and have art healing sessions at different times throughout the week. These are short sessions, so I would only be away from the pet-sit house for a few hours, and planned ahead of time, but also able to be flexible as needed. I'm able to accommodate morning, midday, or evening times for all care needs. Occasionally I'm able to take a pet-sit dog on a walk with a walk client if everyone gets along, which I'm pretty good at facilitating actually, but I always ask first, and never push for it. I like to really check in with each animal and give them plenty of specialized attention. Especially at first, it takes a little time for them to build trust with a new person! I also like to keep to the routines that they expect. My cat gets treats upon waking, and before we go to bed, she likes the consistency. She likes variation in play-time and exploration, and I aim to help her build confidence in approaching new situations, she has been an amazing adventure cat and companion! I learn each pets favorite spot to chill, and when they do and don't want attention. I listen for, and learn their cues, and communication.
“Niamh was great with Babou and took wonderful care of him. She kept in contact with us the entire time and sent great updates daily. We would definitely have her watch our boy again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Boise
Sara handled our anxious ridden diabetic cat so well while we were gone. It was our first time putting the responsibility of blood glucose testing and insulin injections in someone else’s hands and Sara put our minds at ease while we were gone. Our kitty is not the easiest thing to put up with and we are so grateful for Sara doing it for us! We will definitely use her again!

Kelsey was wonderful! The daily updates about our cat and her willingness to help water our garden were so helpful. She even alerted us immediately to a water leak in our house while we were gone and we appreciate her communication so much. We will definitely have her back in the future!

Mikayla and Ryker were great and did an amazing job taking care of our cat while we were out of town! Our flight was canceled coming back into town and they stopped by last-minute to make sure he had everything he needed another night. Highly recommend if you are looking for a trustworthy sitter for you pet.

Tiffany cared for my two cats while my pup and I went camping for a weekend. I had no service during the entire trip, which would normally make me feel anxious about leaving pets at home, but I was confident that they were in good hands! Once I got service again, I caught up on all the detailed updates Tiffany provided about my happy kitties.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Boise. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
