About: I am primarily on this app to be of service to our dog training clients when they go out of town. I am sometimes available to take other pets, but not always. I understand that each animal has their own personality and quirks. I am able to care for pets of any age. I have experience administering medications as well. I work full time at a dog training facility. I spend most of my free time taking care of animals. I am able to bring pups to work with me during the day, so I can potty and let them run around on my breaks throughout the day. I will either bring your pup to my house or go to yours! Whatever your preference is. I do have two dogs of my own, both are friendly to all different types of pets. We also have a cat, so my dogs know how to behave around them (not chasing, bothering, etc.) As I mentioned above, I work at a training facility and will be able to bring your pup to work with me instead of them being home alone during the day. About: My wife and I love dogs and are excited to have the opportunity to care for your small to medium breed non-aggressive dog(s) under 35 lbs. (Please be advised that our experience has shown that the high energy cattle/sheep dogs, shepherds, etc., are generally not a good fit for us). We both have had dogs all of our lives. We have the experience of caring for dogs through their feeding, grooming, exercising, bathing, and of course lots of loving through their senior years. We are both retired, so your dog(s) will have lots of loving attention and care throughout its/their stay. We have a doggie door so your dog(s) can have free access to our large fenced backyard. We generally accept only one client at a time, so we can give your dog(s) lots of attention and love. We do sometimes allow an overlap with another client's dog, but only if we know the dogs involved get along well. We have one dog, Jax (Cavalier King Charles). He is very loving, playful, and unaggressive. Weather permitting and with your approval, we will include your dog(s) in our daily walks in our neighborhood and excursions to local parks. However we do not allow our dog and your dog(s) in "dog parks" and do not allow them to have exposure to other dogs on our walks. Since we are retired, we will also give lots of cuddles and play in between outings, to keep them engaged. We have a dog toy box full of toys for them to play with, if they want. We will follow your instructions, including for special needs, to make sure of your pet(s)’ total care and safety. We have a large and comfy single level home with 24/7 access to a large secure backyard and a doggie door. Your dog(s) will have access to the entire house and is/are welcome to cuddle on the furniture, and can sleep in our bedroom in a doggie bed or crate, whichever your pet prefers. About: Hello, my name is Atticus! I worked at a doggy daycare for over a year, have been pet and house sitting for neighbors and friends for over 3 years, actively volunteer at a cat shelter since 2017, and have been walking dogs since I was a kid. I have 5 pets (one dog, three cats, and one snake) of my own, making me well versed in caring for a variety of animals. I work a sporadically scheduled contracted job 1 to 3 Saturdays a month that I'm very committed to. However, these jobs have never gotten in the way of my care towards my own animals and the animals I have pet sat for. I don't pet sit in my own home, as I can't be sure that my animals will 100% get along with a client's animal. I have slept over in guest rooms of the houses I have spent over night in, as well as having only been in the house with the pets during the day, all per the client's request. Whatever one's house looks like or whatever features one's house may have, I am always sure to respect boundaries, clean up after myself, and make sure the house is left looking better than when I arrived.
