“Germaine has been walking our Luna three times a week for many months. Luna loves her time with Germaine, waiting for her by the door, even on the weekends! Germaine has been incredibly responsible and as well communicates extremely well. She has been proactive in minding her schedule and the holiday schedule. We are very satisfied to have utilized Germaine's time with our loved pup!”

“Is there such a thing as the perfect pet caretaker? I didn’t think so until we worked with Tara. She watched our giant breed dog, Milo, for almost two weeks, coming twice a day and treating him like he was her own. Honestly, I think he got spoiled. Tara went above and beyond in every way. She made his walks extra long, never cut corners, and even took our trash cans out and brought them back in without us asking. We were gone for a long time and very far away, so seeing her show up every single day, right on time, and take such great care of Milo made the trip so much less stressful. It meant a lot knowing he was in such good hands. We’re incredibly thankful for the peace of mind Tara gave us, and for being so caring, thoughtful, and responsible with our big baby family member we unfortunately couldn’t bring with us.”

“Adesa is amazing always! She is so thoughtful and kind when it comes to my pup. He is always so excited to see her and I couldn’t be more confident when it comes to leaving my baby with someone else. Thank you!!”

“Amanda was absolutely amazing with our pups while we were away! The care and effort she put into taking care of them was above and beyond. It was everything we could have hoped for and more! She truly took care of them as if they were her own. We also received multiple photos and check-ins from her, which left us able to relax knowing they were in great hands. We will absolutely book with her again!”

About: Hi! My name is Jace. I work full time from home in a professional role, which allows me the flexibility to provide consistent attention and care while pet and house sitting. I understand that trusting someone with your pets and your home is a big decision. My goal is to make sure your pets stay comfortable in their normal environment while giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats and am happy to work with diverse pet needs including feeding schedules, medications, puppy/senior care, walks/runs, playtime, and always include daily updates. I am an outdoors lover, and like when I am camping, I strive to leave a pet happier and a home cleaner than I found them. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and respectful. I work from home for a large financial institution and have the ability to bring my work laptop to anywhere there is a reliable WiFi connection. Pets bring joy and happiness to a meeting and email filled day. When I started my own pet care business, I wanted to create an experience that made owners feel like I was taking care of their pets as my own. I hope to bring this same level of comfort to you and your family when I provide my services.
“Daniel has proven himself to be professional and an excellent communicator while also showing how well he is at handling our dog. Would gladly recommend him to anyone in need of top level dog care”

“Debra was responsive and on time, she was great with Sam and I felt comfortable knowing she was taking care of him while I was in office training. Highly recommend and will hopefully use her again if I need Rover services again!”

About: I work from home, and am able to provide lots of love and attention to your pup! I live in a single family home with a fully fenced yard. Our small poodle mix loves to socialize and play with other dogs. I work from home, so I’m always home! I have availability for multiple daily walks and playtime. I can be flexible with pick up and drop off times. I have a fully fenced back yard. There is also a large park to walk in (leashed) in my neighborhood. I can meet any feeding needs or special instructions.

About: A dog owner my entire life, I have experience caring for my own pets and those of family and friends. I personalize my care depending on your pets' needs, including walking, feeding, administering medications, bathing, overnight care, reinforcing training, and providing lots of cuddles and playtime :) I love going above and beyond to make your pet happy, including taking them on fun adventures! You can be sure that your pet will be in great hands with me as their sitter! I am a college student home for the summer, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I am happy to provide overnight care, pop in for check-ins and walks, or anything in-between. I like to care for your pet in their home environment, making them feel safe and comfortable. Following owner instructions precisely, I aim to look after them as you do. Having my own dog, I understand the level of loving attention pets require to feel safe.

About: Hello, my name is Atticus! I worked at a doggy daycare for over a year, have been pet and house sitting for neighbors and friends for over 3 years, and have been walking dogs since I was a kid. I have 5 pets (one dog, three cats, and one snake) of my own, making me well versed in caring for a variety of animals. I work a sporadically scheduled contracted job 1 to 3 Saturdays a month that I'm very committed to. However, these jobs have never gotten in the way of my care towards my own animals and the animals I have pet sat for. I don't pet sit in my own home, as I can't be sure that my animals will 100% get along with a client's animal. I have slept over in guest rooms of the houses I have spent over night in, as well as having only been in the house with the pets during the day, all per the client's request. Whatever one's house looks like or whatever features one's house may have, I am always sure to respect boundaries, clean up after myself, and make sure the house is left looking better than when I arrived.

“Elise is a wonderful person. She did a great job with Rocky. She is very punctual and responsible. I love that she kept me up-to-date and sent pictures throughout! Would definitely recommend her! Thank you Elise!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life! My husband and I have two sweet pups (a 70 lb Goldendoodle and a 6 lb Morkie) who are the center of our days. We both retired early and spent the last couple of years traveling around the country and pet-sitting for people who were on vacation. We enjoyed sits with countless dogs and cats (and even chickens and lizards!) until we bought a house and moved to Eagle last October. I'm excited to find a new way to connect with dogs and cats in our area! I'm happy to enjoy the outdoors walking with your pup or snuggling on the couch... whichever they prefer! I have experience with puppies, adults, and senior dogs and am also comfortable giving medication (both oral meds and shots). Since I am retired my daily and weekly schedule is completely flexible based on your pet's needs! Just let me know what works for your household! I am happy to spend time outside in the fresh air walking your dog(s) or playing outside with them. I am physically active and enjoy walks and hikes. If they prefer, I am also happy to come to your house for snuggles on the couch!
About: I’ve grown up with many pets and have such a heart for them! I am very active whether it’s walking or hiking and I would love to get your pets some exercise while i’m at it! I especially love dogs and can keep them company, stop by to feed them, and am very flexible to complete any other needs :) I am graduating high school and only have two classes leaving me with plenty of free time. Ilove to be active and making animals happy makes me happy :) I feel that socializing dogs and caring for them is very important and I would love to help with that! Pet safety is also very important to me. I understand that all pets are different with unique personalities and backgrounds. I make it my priority to focus on what your pet is most comfortable with and never putting myself or your pet in an unsafe environment. I have overflowing empathy for pets and will constantly put them first when working with them!

Jennifer is a very professional dog walker. She was prompt and a good communicator. She truly cared about my dog and was a committed companion when I was unable to walk my pet. I recommend her wholeheartedly. Kirby will miss her walks. Thanks Jennifer, you are my go to if I need help again!
Michael walked my dogs for the first time this week while I was out of town. He was patient and kind, and my dogs absolutely love him. I have a new puppy, and it's very clear that Michael worked with him while walking and not only made sure he didn't regress in his training, but made even more progress with him. I wasn't sure how often or long he'd need to be walked while I was gone, and Michael worked me to adjust his schedule when it looked like pup needed more. 10/10 from me, and we'll absolutely use him every time as well as highly recommend him to anyone who needs pet care!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
