About: I have taken care of all pets of shapes, sizes, and ages. Dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, snakes, rabbits, peacocks, etc. I especially like to take care of older pets as they have a special place in my heart. I work part-time in the afternoons Monday-Friday so I am available in the mornings and evenings for routine breakfasts and dinners. I also live in walking distance to most homes. Which makes last minute help more accessible. Trust is the first thing I offer to all pets. We will have an initial meet and greet to get to know pets and see if it’s a match. I will be completely flexible to their routine as that’s imperative to a happy pet. I’m already always covered in cat hair so hugs and loving is a must.

“Cassandra was great! I have a cat who gets separation anxiety if left alone overnight and also needs insulin shots, and she took great care of her and our house, including sending me updates every day. It made traveling a lot less stressful. I look forward to booking her again the next time I'm out of town!”

About: My heart has always belonged to dogs. I grew up alongside many beautiful and loyal pets who I learned to care for. I have worked with senior dogs that require medications or special assistance. In 2022 I worked as a nanny and caretaker to a beautiful high energy shepherd that was a very stubborn walker. I learned to use commands, treats, and a head collar to help keep her in control so I could focus on the children during walks. I am so grateful to learn from the pets I work with. I have been able to apply much of what I learned from her training to teach my own stubborn pup to walk without ripping my arm off. I currently work as a daycare attendant at Happy Dog Daycare in Eureka. I love working with the huge variety of breeds and personalities that walk through the door everyday. I am pet CPR and First Aid Certified. Drop-In visits on weekdays will be available either 6am-12pm or 1pm-12am depending on my schedule for the week. Weekend visits may be scheduled anytime. Multiple visits may be booked each day. House sitting is available all week. I work during the week so pets must be able to be safely left unattended for up to 6 hours during the day. If your pet loves others and is fully vaccinated consider signing them up for Happy Dog Daycare for days you have to be away! (Will shuttle for existing clients. Subtract $14-22 from Rover price on days pet attends daycare. Client is responsible for daycare fees) Weekend pet sitting is open, I can be available 24/7 to care for your pet and home! HOUSESITTING - I am happy to accommodate your pet's specific routine as well as provide playtime and outings. Let's chat about your pup's needs so we can ensure they can have a fear free booking!. I want to ensure your pet is as comfortable and loved as possible while you're away. DROP-IN VISITS - 30 minutes typically includes feeding, changing water, potty break, and playtime. I am open to doing short 10-15 minute walks during drop-ins. 1 hour drop-in visits include feeding, changing water, walk and playtime suited to your dog’s needs. I suggest 1 hour visits if your dog is high energy or needs extra attention.

About: I have always had animals around as a child, from small house pets to larger livestock animals, and am used to animals of all kinds. I used to volunteered at an animal shelter in my hometown and have built experience through leash training the dogs, as well as cleaning their kennels, feeding and loving them. I have dog sat for people in my hometown overnight and have walked several dogs for neighbors or family friends for extra money and loved doing that. I am a huge fan of cats so I would be thrilled to watch your cat as well. I am a good choice for a dog sitter/walker because I am friendly and patient, and willing to accommodate to your pet's needs as much as you would like me to. I am a part time college student so am free most of the day everyday. This leaves plenty of time for pet care during my week. I care for pets in my/ the pet owners environment by catering to the needs of their pet, however that may look for the specific animal.

About: Hello! I’m a Durango local, recent college grad, and, above all, an animal lover. I grew up with animals and have spent years pet‑sitting for friends and neighbors, as well as volunteering with rescue organizations, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m attentive to instructions, give regular photo updates, and treat every pet like my own. Having cared for my own two senior pups, I’m familiar with medication schedules, gentle exercise, etc. Although I’m new to Rover, I bring years of knowledgeable experience, and I can’t wait to make your pup feel safe, loved, and right at home. I am home during the day, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet attention, exercise, and care. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends, and I’m happy to adjust to your pet’s specific routine. If needed, I can also provide transportation for boarding. Pets boarded in my home are free to roam a cozy, pet-friendly space and the fenced backyard. There are no other pets or children—just two mellow hens in a fully enclosed outdoor run. I make it a priority to help your dog feel safe and relaxed, especially in a new environment. I’ll stick closely to your pet’s usual routine for feeding, walks, medications, and house rules to make their stay as smooth as possible. For house sitting and drop-in visits, I follow the same philosophy and treat every home with the same respect I give my own.

About: Dogs have been my constant companions throughout my life, and I've loved training and caring for them every step of the way. Currently volunteering with the La Plata County Humane Society has only deepened my commitment to animal welfare. Since I work from home, your pet will rarely be alone. I'll keep you connected with plenty of photos and updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your best friend is in loving hands. Since I work from home, your pet will rarely be alone. I do not have any hobbies or obligations that would take me away from them for more than a few hours. If your pet has any special needs, I am sure I can accommodate. I will care for your pets however you may wish! I love playing with dogs, taking them on walks or to the dog park, or simply lounging at home with them. If your pet has any special needs, I am sure I can accommodate.

“Cassandra is awesome! Great communication. Very professional. This was my first time using this app and it was an all-around positive experience. I ended up having to add an additional day. Cassandra was able to accommodate our extremely last minute request. I would definitely use Cassandra again and recommend her!!! For reference she watched two of our cats. One of which loves to try to escape so this was a huge worry of mine. But Cassandra put my mind at ease and everything went wonderful!”

About: I grew up with dogs of my own and have dog-sat for several friends and employers. I find dog-walking very meditative, and the personality of dogs can really come alive outdoors. I’m very attentive to energy levels, food/water intake, and of course, play time! I’m currently working part-time during the week but have my mornings and evenings open, as well as most weekends. I’m happy to chat more about what your pet care needs look like! Having my own cat, I always cat-proof my home to ensure that my cat is safe whether I am home or not. Before leaving the house, I always ensure my cat has enough food and fresh water. I would not only do this at your home, but I would also leave it better than I found it, treating your home as your sacred space that deserves respect, privacy, and cleanliness.

About: I have my own well behaved 2 year old medium sized dog. In health care and very knowledgeable. Love and care for all animals small or big. Available mainly on Saturday through Monday. But flexible with my current job if needed. Happy to work around my work schedule but free through the weekend and Mondays. I will care and take care of your pet as I would my own. But also take into consideration any of your pets needs and wants.

About: Animals have been a part of my life since day one. I have had pets of all kinds and started working on ranches and farms at age 13. From house pets to barnyard buddies, I have truly cared for them all. I am currently in pre-nursing school, and my long-term dream is to work in veterinary care. I also trained my own service dog, which has given me experience with special routines, and medical needs. Growing up a Girl Scout taught me responsibility, leadership, and the importance of lending a helping hand-traits I carry with me into every pet-sitting job. I love working with rescues, understand the patience some animals need, and always treat pets like family. I am also happy to tidy up and leave your home better than I found it-just part of the care I believe every client deserves. Whether it barks, hops or meows-I am here to help with heart, skill, and genuine love for animals of any kind. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I have been around animals my whole life, so caring for them feels like second nature. I am currently in college with morning classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I keep the rest of my schedule flexible to make sure I am available for pet care needs. Whether it is daily check-ins, overnights, or extended stays, I always make sure your pet's routine comes first and they get the time, attention, and love they deserve. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in yours, I treat every animal like they are family. I take the time to learn their unique routines, preferences, and personalities. Whether that means a strict feeding schedule, lots of playtime, or just quite companionship. In clients' homes, I am always respectful of your space, and and I make sure to leave things clean and tidy (often better than I found it!). I give extra attention to detail, whether it is refreshing water bowls, keeping litter boxes spotless, or making sure dogs get the exercise they need. If your pet has any special needs, quirks, or medical routines, I am confident and experienced in handling those too. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved- whether we are in their home or mine.

“David is the BEST dog walker I have ever met. Any time I have ever asked him to take my own dogs for walks, he always goes above and beyond and gives them the best adventures. Some of the places he’s taken them have been the dog park, disc golfing up at the college, and many of the hiking trails around town. They always come back tired and ready for a good nap. I’m grateful for how well he takes care of them so I can be stress free when I can’t take them on walks myself. I highly recommend David to be your dog’s new best friend!”
