About: I recently moved to Duluth and while I'm loving settling into a new place, I'm desperately missing the time I used to spend with my parents' dogs (a golden retriever and a yellow lab). I was always around dogs growing up, as many as two or three in the house at a time sometimes, and still take advantage of any chance I can get to spend time around dogs - big dogs, small dogs, old dogs, young dogs, any dogs! I have two cats of my own - I've moved around a lot the last several years and some of the places I lived were better suited for cats than dogs, otherwise I'd have a dog as well by this point. I commute two days a week to teach at a community college on the Iron Range, leaving my Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays-Sundays very free and flexible. I'd love to help you take care of your little loves (cats or dogs - or any other pets, really, if you're willing to teach me a bit about it!) whenever you find yourself in a spot where you can't be in two places at once or need the extra set of hands! I teach at a college on the Iron Range on Tuesdays and Thursdays - outside of some travel to see family back in Grand Rapids, my Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends are very open at the moment. I have my own vehicle and can get around easily - I'm also more than happy to transport dogs to walking trails in my own vehicle. I'm currently renting a smaller apartment that would make any visits in my own home difficult to manage, but I live close to various walking trails and love to spend time out on them. Spending quality time with animals is something that I find deeply comforting - I truly enjoy being near animals when I'm doing anything (reading, working, walking, whatever). Courtnie was fantastic once again! Our pups do better with her than with us I think! She truly understands the nurturing and patience it takes with our little rescue. Our Chiwie has been in the United States less than a year and is so comfortable at home now that she works at everyone who comes to the house. This is the second time I’ve booked Nelle to watch my cats. She does a great job making sure the boys are fed, watered and have clean litter boxes. My anxious cat needs meds twice a day so knowing Nelle is on top of that is such a relief. He may not accept any pets from her, but my other cat loves to sit with her and get some attention while I’m away. I will definitely book with Nelle in the future.
