“Emma was so wonderful with my two cats - and with me, the anxious cat-mom who hates leaving them behind when she goes anywhere! I booked Emma last-minute for a weekend trip and she still made time to stop by beforehand to meet them and see where everything was…she was flexible with visit times and and uploaded great visit pictures that eased my separation angst :) I will 100% be booking Emma again for any pet-sitting needs!”

“Jamie was able to take care of our kitties with last-minute notice, and they were happy campers when we got back! She was responsive and sent us daily updates. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Kim was great! She spent a lot of time with our orange tabby. It was obvious from the pics and video she took that he liked her a lot. She played with him quite a bit (and maybe raised the bar for us, in that department 🙂). We’re very happy customers and would highly recommend Kim!”

“Jaime was punctual and very easy to work with! She came to meet our pup beforehand and we showed her the ropes! She even sent me a video of her playing with our dog. I would definitely recommend this app and Jaime to anyone looking for a dog sitter. Thanks Jaime!”

About: Hi my names Eva, I have lived with dogs my entire life (mainly German Shepherds). I regularly go hiking, and I walk at least 4 miles everyday. I worked at a pet store for 3 years, and am dedicated to giving pets the best care possible. I am currently going to college, and I have a part time job. In between classes and on days I have off I will be able to stop by to take care of your pets and walk them. I can come over to let dogs out to go to the bathroom, feed them, simple check in, and walk them. I am dedicated to fitting you and your pets needs.
“Nelle has consistently been a good friend and a reliable care taker for our temperamental and shy fur babies. She took the time to learn their personalities and gain their trust, and has gone above and beyond each visit. Nelle is the best and we love her!”

About: I have 30 years of experience caring for animals and have fostered, cared for, and adopted dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, from rambunctious puppies and shy, skittish rescues to sweet seniors. My rescue experience has taught me that every pet is different, and I’m comfortable adjusting my approach to help them feel safe and comfortable. I also have experience caring for cats and kittens and understand that they often prefer attention on their own terms. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, belly rubs, or simply having someone nearby, I’m happy to follow their lead and routine. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks and drop-in visits throughout the day. I understand how important consistency and routine are for pets, so I’ll do my best to keep meals, walks, medications, potty breaks, and visits on their normal schedule. My flexibility also allows me to give each pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, treats, household rules, and routines. Years of fostering and working with rescue dogs have made me especially mindful of shy or fearful pets, door-dashers, escape risks, and animals who need extra patience when meeting someone new. I never force interaction and allow pets the time and space they need to become comfortable with me. I’m also happy to send photos and updates during each visit so you can relax knowing your pets are safe, happy, and being well cared for.
“Sav came to my rescue when I needed care for my 9yo Newfie following an unexpected health event of my father and sudden change in plans. Knowing my pup would receive high quality compassionate care allowed me to focus on my out of state family. Sav was responsive, attentive to detail, in tune with my senior pup’s needs, and her exceptional service brought me calm+confidence. I’m excited to have found a dependable new care giver that I can look to for future needs.”

“Ashley was attentive and kind. Good communication also. Would use and recommend for anyone. Posted a photo of my dog in the backyard and promptly filled out Rover information. Job well done!”
“Hannah did a great job caring for my exotic pets (tortoise and marine fish). She was eager to help and flexible when I switched the instructions regarding entry into my home which I had forgot to mention to her until the time of the booking I will definitely book with her in the future, thanks again Hannah!”

About: I have grown up around animals. I have helped take care of my family dog for many years. I also have experience pet sitting for many family members and neighbors. I have taken care of senior dogs and young dogs and everything in-between. I am a teacher with summers off and extra time to devote to your furry friend. During the school year I might have some availability during weekends. I am a responsible, prompt and communicative pet sitter. I will always do my very best to make sure your pet is well taken care of and give you peace of mind while you are away.
“Nicole was great! Communicative, shared lots of pictures from the check in, and even went the extra mile to keep an eye on and water started plants for our garden. We will definitely book again!”

About: As an avid walker in ALL types of weather, there’s nothing better than bringing a dog (or two) along! ! Also, as the owner of a farm for 24 years with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and tons of living plants, as well as the mother of a 16-year-old, and the owner of my own businesses, Care is one of my superpowers 😉! I’m a full-time grad student in an online program so I have lots of time to hang out with your pets while I study. I also have a lot of freedom and flexibility in my schedule at this time so I can shift and change things as necessary. I love snuggling with animals, and sleeping with them if that’s what they love too. I’ve also been a house sitter for years for friends and family, and they always ask me back.
“Peter was excellent! Flexible, dependable, and kept up with our 3 month old golden doodle. Played fetch, took her on walks, even cleaned up her pee when needed. Highly recommend.”

Emma is absolutely fabulous! I don’t even know how to express how highly I think of her and appreciate all the care she has provided for my cat Gracie! I booked her daily for a two week period following my return home from a major foot surgery. I am home when she comes as I am unable to walk and use a knee scooter. Not only are Gracie and I the recipients of great cat care, but of Emma’s efficiency and ability to anticipate what needs to be done, and go above and beyond. I find her positive attitude and energy delightful and look forward to her coming! I rebooked her to come weekly for six additional weeks and after one week of this parred back schedule plan to increase the frequency of her visits.

Excellent service, Sav sent updates for Mimmie and was precise and punctual and cordial - was timely in response and flexible.. was very kind and gentle to Mimmie : will definitely use her service again. one of the best we ever had on Rover as we have used the service many times for vacation. Randy A.

This is the second time I’ve booked Nelle to watch my cats. She does a great job making sure the boys are fed, watered and have clean litter boxes. My anxious cat needs meds twice a day so knowing Nelle is on top of that is such a relief. He may not accept any pets from her, but my other cat loves to sit with her and get some attention while I’m away. I will definitely book with Nelle in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Duluth. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
