“I can’t believe how happy we are we found Peter and Barbara. Admittedly, we are a little “obsessed “ with our puppy. He is quite spoiled. But Peter spoils him even more. I received numerous photos and comments at how well Stewie was adapting. It was really reassuring as this was only the 2nd time we left Stewie and his first overnight. We were so happy to see him playing and being himself. There aren’t enough stars to rate this dog adoring couple. Thank you for all you do for Stewie.”

“Tango had a 5 star stay at Laura and Nathan’s!! He was with them for a week while we were on vacation and he had the BEST time! They sent us pictures and updates every day, he got tons of play time in their awesome fenced-in backyard, TONS of love and attention and snuggles, they gave him his medication twice a day, and we had absolutely no worries at all while we were gone-we joked that Tango looked like he was having more fun on vacation than us!😁 Their daughter was absolutely amazing with him and I know he is going to miss his new BFF🥰 They are a family that loves animals and we were so happy and grateful to know he was in such excellent hands for the week! I can’t say enough good things or recommend them highly enough! THANK YOU Laura, Nathan, and family🙏🏻💛”

“Outstanding! I had to change the plans a number of times due to family plan changes and Patty was very understanding. My dog is also anxious and is tricky taking pills and Patty was great with it all! It was my first time using Rover and had a wonderful experience thanks to Patty.”

“Nicole was awesome! Super good with communication and keeping us updated on how our pup was doing. Also Nicole was super flexible and very kind when our plans got shifted due to a flight cancellation. I highly recommend you book Nicole for all your pet sitting needs. We’re so happy that we knew our dog was in good hands and Nicole made sure we never had to worry about anything with our pup through our whole vacation.”

“Opie loves staying with Jamie and is always well cared for when he is there. I never worry while we are away. I would recommend Jamie if you are looking for a caregiver for your furry family member.”

“Our dogs enjoyed their overnight stay with Christina. She was able to handle with care and love our senior dog with health issues, another active senior dog and a puppy. She was communicative through out their stay with message and photos. We highly recommend Christina.”

“Heather is amazing! She’s so kind and always goes above and beyond for my dog, Reka. She even carved a pumpkin for her this time! I really appreciate the regular updates and photos, and Reka gets multiple walks every day. Her sons also play with Reka, which she absolutely loves. Always a great experience with Heather — highly recommend!”

About: With almost 7 years of professional experience, you can trust that your pets are in good hands! I grew up on and around farms, so I have experience with pets ranging from dogs and cats, to goats and chickens, to lizards and guinea pigs and more. Now, I have my own little zoo at home, which includes a dog, a cat, two guinea pigs, turtles, and fish. I started my professional experience at the age of 16, when I started working at a doggy daycare. Once I moved to the Duluth area, I continued caring for pets through Rover and similar sites. In the last few months, I have started my own business petsitting and dog walking. In addition, I have done volunteer work through animal shelters and worked closely with dog trainers to expand my knowledge and experience with pets of all kinds. I currently work full time Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, as well as 9am-3pm Saturdays and 5pm-9pm Friday and Saturday nights. In order to make sure that my pets are getting all the love and attention they need, I will no longer be able to do overnight visits on weekdays. I am more than happy to stay over on weekends and do drop-in visits during the week, though! I love spoiling my pets, and would love to do so with yours as well. I have a lot of experience with complex feeding and medication instructions. I am also very active, so I can exercise your pup in a safe one-on-one environment, bring them to the dog park, provide mental stimulation with puzzles, or cuddle with them if they're a little older- whichever is preferred by you and your pupper.
“Scout had a wonderful stay with Marly! She is a senior canine-citizen and needs a few extra potty breaks and TLC and she got exactly what she needed at Marly's house. Thanks, Marly!”

“Casey watched our special needs husky/lab puppy who uses a quad wheelchair to take walks. He enthusiastically learned how to care for her and was instrumental in improving her ability to use the wheelchair. He also took care of her leg wound, gave her medication, and devised a method to help protect the leg. He took several pictures and videos keeping us informed of her progress. Casey is very caring and knowledgeable about dog behavior and care. We will definitely ask him to watch Gia again.”

“Our pups Nova and Archer loved it there! They had sent us many photos and videos (which we loved!) We will definitely be going to them again in the future. Great family, great environment and most importantly our dogs enjoyed getting loved by the kids. They helped tire the pups out, so thank you for that!! ?”

“Shiloh and her family took such great care of Pico and Maggie so we could enjoy the weekend with extended family and friends as we celebrated graduation. Thanks for the kind and excellent care.”

“Amber was fantastic. Prior to our scheduled overnight amber spent time getting to know Otis, my super high energy, sort of anxious, golden retriever puppy. Amber immediately made a connection with Otis, I knew Otis would be in good, experienced hands.”

“He did a wonderful job of caring for my spoiled dog! He was great with photos and communication showing that my girl was well cared for, she was even cuddled up on the couch in blankies which is her favorite. He also went out for a few walks in the below zero weather to make sure she did her business, because she isn't used to a fenced in yard. My Sadie was there with another beagle and he made sure that my dog who is free fed, could get time to eat, where the other dog was on a scheduled feeding time. Hoping I can use him again in the future.”
“I can’t say enough great things about how fantastic Rachel and her family were with our dog, Larry. He was there for 5 nights over the 4th of July Holiday and had the time of his life. Rachel was so good about sending lots of pictures that we really felt like we had a good idea of how much fun he was having. Rachel’s family welcomed Larry like he was one of their own and their 4 dogs did a good job of showing Larry how life on the farm works! They even took him hiking at the nearby Pattison state park and he played a lot of fetch in their meadow and swam in the stream on their property. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants their dog to have a great adventure!!”

“Kylee and her partner David were wonderful with our dog, Rusty! I could tell right away that they would be a good fit and that I could trust them. They provided updates and pictures which helped me feel at ease while I was away. Rusty got lots of cuddles and even got to go on a hike with them, which he loves to do! I will definitely be reaching out to Kylee any time I need someone to watch our pup.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
