About: I love animals. My childhood cat was my bestie, my current cat (a 2-year-old cutie named Ghost) is my soul kitty, and I consider my friends’ pets my furry nieces and nephews. :) I’ve been pet sitting (dogs and cats) for friends and family for at least 15 years (probably longer!), and I truly love caring for their pets. I look forward to meeting your pets and giving them love, food, pets, walks, and playtime when you’re not able to. I work from home and have a pretty flexible job. Because of that, arranging drop-in visits or dog walks in the Duluth area will be easy. I work to create a calm, safe atmosphere for pets, so they can get to know me on their terms and learn to trust me. I like doing drop-in visits because it allows the pet to be in their own space, where they feel most comfortable, while they get to know a new face. :)
About: I’ve watched dogs, cats and birds before! No matter the animal I’d love to take care of them so you’re able to enjoy your time away! I’m a recent graduate from CSS, working a full-time job. With that, I may not be able to take requests for dogs that need frequent bathroom breaks. I will always do my best to make time for people and animals who need it! In my spare time I love to crochet, which is easily transportable! I will stick to any instructions I am given! I love to take pictures of pets and I’ll be sure to update you about how your pets day has been going!
About: I have had 4 family cats, fish, and a lizard during my life. I have done occasional dog care for friends and family when needed, and I am up for anything! I am extremely flexible, with very few commitments at the moment! I am able to adjust my schedule to your needs, and I am able to do last minute tasks as well. I own a car with a back seat if transportation is necessary, and I am very comfortable with caring for your animals in your own home.
“ashley did such a good job!!! she watched wilson during my 13 hour shift and gave me so much peace of mind. she sent plenty of updates and pictures!!! i felt so confident that his needs were met and came home to a very happy puppy”

“Amber took care of my two cats, two budgee parakeet birds and our corn snake through the duration of a week by dropping into my house to feed and care for them all, twice daily. Absolutely no complaints, she rocked it, took great care of every baby under the roof and followed instructions to the exact detail! She happily accommodated our booking request over Christmas time, which says alot, but also did so with only a few weeks notice so bravo to her for her flexibility as well.”

About: I have owned dogs my entire life. I grew up with long haired dachshunds. I have also owned labs, a Dalmatian, huskies, you name it. I love big cuddly dogs the most, but will love up on the smallest to the biggest dog the same. I also have a big heart for senior pets. I work full-time during the week but I am always on the go and able to help with pet sitting, dog walking, helping with caring for animals as needed. I am available for house-sitting depending on the days/times. When I go to someone's home to care for their pet I will treat it as though it is my own pet, which is with the utmost care, kindness and love. I have a huge heart for all living beings including animals and humans. I am highly responsible, and responsive.
About: I’ve had family pets my whole life and I worked at a humane society for four years with both cats and dogs. Over the years I’ve pet sit for quite a few families. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time hangout with your doggos. I’m usually working only twice a week with the weekends off so I have lots of free time during the week to check up on the animals. Currently I’m not able to board any animals at my house because I’m renting. When I pet sit for people I love to spend time with the animals, playing with them and giving them lots of pets and attention. Basically treat them like my puppies which are back at my parents house.

“Alexandra has done an amazing jobs in taking care of my 2 cats when I was gone for vacation. She was so patient following all my instructions. She helped me move my two cats to their new place. I’m very grateful to her and highly recommend booking her. I will definitely book again. Thanks so much Alexandra.”

“Nelle did a great job caring for my two cats while I was out of town. Aside from the usual care tasks, my anxious guy Wallace needs meds twice a day. Nelle made sure even a tough customer like Wallace got the attention he needed, and shared updates so I could enjoy my time away without worrying. I would recommend Nelle to anyone who needs someone to look after their pets, especially if you have one who needs extra patience.”

“We are very satisfied with the care Nick gave our dog Oliver, who has some special needs at the age of 14. He did a wonderful job keeping us updated while we were away. We will contact him again when needed.”

“Raelin did an awesome job with our cat, Tiny. She was always on time for the drop-in visits and provided great info on the Rover cards and lots of cute photos. Raelin helped us feel connected to Tiny from very far away 💖 We’ll definitely book with her again!”

About: While I have not been a professional dog sitter I have always been the one to offer to walk or watch my coworkers, family, and friends dogs.I absolutely love being around them, and can't wait to meet yours. In the past I have used Rover to find a sitter for my dogs when I am travelling with them. Having a safe place for them to be when I go tour around a new city is such a nice option to have. Sometimes this is a few hours other times an overnight. Hoping to be able to provide this for others. I have 3 dogs of my own, one shelter rescue and 2 foster fails. Luna, Ole, and Birdie have been great foster siblings to foster dogs I have cared for also. I have a fenced yard with enough room to play. I also have a few spare bedrooms so will have the ability to separate dogs if that is needed however I prefer to dogsit those that are dog friendly due to already having a few in the home.
About: As the friend who stays home for the holidays, I have several friends who ask me every year to take care of their pets while they travel for a few weeks. I grew up with a ragdoll cat and three German shorthairs. My partner's parents are professional sled dog racers and we have taken care of the dogs countless times when his family was away. (Trust me when I say taking care of 30 dogs at once is a full time job!) I also love to do pet portraits for my friends and family. I intend to utilize Rover as a way to grow deeper trust and relationships with my neighbors. I work Monday through Friday 8-4, but can be somewhat flexible if given time to plan. I am free all other times. I can work early or late hours as necessary. I am a big believer in communication and honesty. I also believe in supporting healthy stimulation for pets, whether it means getting them physically or mentally active. I am a strong and open listener, for people and for pets. I take into careful consideration different styles of pet ownership, and like to customize to the owners needs.
About: I've taken care of my own dogs, as well as the dogs, cats, and guinea pigs of neighbors and friends alike. I've been actively involved with clicker training my current dog, a dachshund mix. I'm free to provide pet care at any waking hour, any day a week. For me, that means from 9am to 9pm, but I am open to work hours outside if necessary. I care for pets with love and affection. Some require warming up to first, some are already eager to be friends. Whichever it is, I'm happy to meet them
“Taylor is amazing! She was incredibly professional and communicative, giving timely updates and regularly sending pictures of our very happy cats. She went above and beyond to accommodate us during a storm-extended vacation and we couldn't have been happier with the care she provided. Part of me doesn't want to give this rave review because I don't want other people to have her booked during our future vacations, but alas, she really deserves it! 10/10, would book Taylor again.”

About: As an avid walker in ALL types of weather, there’s nothing better than bringing a dog (or two) along! ! Also, as the owner of a farm for 24 years with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and tons of living plants, as well as the mother of a 16-year-old, and the owner of my own businesses, Care is one of my superpowers 😉! I’m a full-time grad student in an online program so I have lots of time to hang out with your pets while I study. I also have a lot of freedom and flexibility in my schedule at this time so I can shift and change things as necessary. I love snuggling with animals, and sleeping with them if that’s what they love too. I’ve also been a house sitter for years for friends and family, and they always ask me back.

“Nick was great with our cats!! He was very responsive to messages and when our automatic feeder was having problems he volunteered to stop by and see if he could fix the issue. He sent pictures every day and a report on how the cats were doing so I did not worry about them at all.”

Duluth dog parents share their Rover experiences
This was our first time having anyone watch our dog. He’s terrified of everyone. We have not had him at a kennel either, so we were a bit nervous. Our dog was friendly with Cassie right when she came to meet him! She was great and we know our dog was well cared for. We will definitely hire her again!

Raelin is fantastic! Super swift response to every and any questions, excellent with my shy and under socialized 1.5 year old grump of a puppy, and gentle with my little old man. I could tell her approach was kind and careful--both pups responded very well to her and I felt very confident leaving my little ones and my home under her care. She even asked about feeding my tank full of state-fair goldfish, and was kind enough to 'put them to bed' by flipping off their light! She comes with my highest recommendation. Thanks so very much for helping us take a MUCH-NEEDED vacation, Raelin!
