I work a hybrid schedule during the week -allowing for flexibility in schedule most days. We walk a few blocks to access the Lakewalk and Chester Creek trails and sometimes head to the beach.

We have a 3 year old mixed breed rescue pup named Tillie. She is easy-going and likes other dogs. She tends to sleep or snuggle when she is indoors and play when outdoors or on a walk. If needed, I can leave Tillie at home with family while I am house-sitting or walking/visiting other pets. Our cat, Chester, has many places to hide in case he prefers to be solo.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs. I do have stairs at my house, which may be an issue for any pups with hip issues. To determine if we are a good match, I typically will ask: 1.) has your pet been without family before? 2.) does your dog/pet have specific words/commands? 3.) where does your pet typically sleep? Crate/bed/floor, etc… 4.) what time(s) of day does your pet eat? 5.) how often does your dog need to be outside? 6.)is your dog accustomed to treats and/or snacks? And upon booking, I will always suggest bringing familiar items/scents for to help your dog acclimate. These may include a piece of clothing with your scent, favorite toys, a familiar blanket, etc…
A typical day
I enjoy playing both inside and outside with dogs of all sizes. I am experienced with all ages and abilities and will meet them where they find most joy in their day. I like to go to the beach and Chester Creek trails. If the dog prefers sidewalks, then I do a loop in my neighborhood or head to the University Campus for a network or sidewalks. For kitties- just let me know their favorite toys and habits, and we’ll go from there! In my house, the floppy fish is a big hit!

Greetings, fellow pet parents! My name is Nelle and I have been a dog parent for over 25 years - all medium to large-sized dogs. I currently have a 3 year old midsized dog that loves to be outside as well as snuggle on the couch. We also have one cat who gets along with our resident dog and is nimble enough to retreat from guest dogs if needed. We have three humans in the house who love four-legged companions.

This is the second time I’ve booked Nelle to watch my cats. She does a great job making sure the boys are fed, watered and have clean litter boxes. My anxious cat needs meds twice a day so knowing Nelle is on top of that is such a relief. He may not accept any pets from her, but my other cat loves to sit with her and get some attention while I’m away. I will definitely book with Nelle in the future.
Nelle was wonderful with our critters as always! She sent updates, pictures, and even checked that we made it back from our travels safely. We highly recommend her to everyone.
Nelle did a great job caring for my two cats while I was out of town. Aside from the usual care tasks, my anxious guy Wallace needs meds twice a day. Nelle made sure even a tough customer like Wallace got the attention he needed, and shared updates so I could enjoy my time away without worrying. I would recommend Nelle to anyone who needs someone to look after their pets, especially if you have one who needs extra patience.
Nelle has consistently been a good friend and a reliable care taker for our temperamental and shy fur babies. She took the time to learn their personalities and gain their trust, and has gone above and beyond each visit. Nelle is the best and we love her!
