About: Only taking walking or housesitting clients in DIXON, DAVIS, and VACAVILLE! I’ve always had a pet since I was 4 and I love animals. I currently have 3 dogs that I care for and love taking them on walks to parks. When it comes to your pets I will make sure everything they need will be taken care of, and send plenty of pics of them if you’d like! I currently work part-time, and currently looking to expand my streams of income to save up for my own place one day. My schedule is flexible and I will make whatever work! You tell me the fur babies' routine and schedule and that’s what we’re doing as best as I can—regarding my schedule + distance. If they take vitamins/pills in the morning, or 3x a day, just let me know, I’ve done it all! I understand pets can be extra on edge when their parents are away, so keeping things how they’re used to is important to me to help them feel as comfortable as possible.

About: Since I was 16 years old, I have cared for and pet sat for dogs. Over the last 20 years I’ve had two of my own dogs that I got when they were six weeks old. I believe a happy focused, dedicated puppy stage (with lots of treats) makes for a loving, caring obedient, joyful dog to be able to live their best life. Enjoying all the things they were created for. I look forward to helping your dog enjoy their time at home while you are on vacation. A side note to add is I am a mother of 4 and I have two younger boys ages 13 and 11 who will be taking turns to attend with me during my visits as a teaching opportunity for more skills with different dogs. I am a stay at home mom with four kids. My children’s ages range from 22-11yrs. My stage of life provides for many opportunities to be able to share my time to help care for animals while providing moments to teach my children how to care for others. We have a large fenced yard, and are happy to also help with crating if needed. Daily walks and feedings are built into are routine. Having this same routine allows for us to easily help others with the same needs.

About: My name is Destiny and I grew up caring for large and small dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens from birth through adulthood. As an adult, I continue to care for both cats and dogs, including adopted shelter cats and my own Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle. Both of my dogs are neutered, gentle and affectionate. My Standard Poodle loves to run and play and can be wonderfully bouncy, but he's also surprisingly nurturing and likes to make sure everyone is okay. My Labrador is basically Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh—a lovely potato who is particularly drawn to wee, scrappy dogs. I actively study canine behavior and learning. I train and participate in dog sports including obedience, scent work/nose work, agility, Barn Hunt and NASDA. I'm comfortable observing canine body language, following established training and management routines, providing enrichment, and adapting my approach to the individual dog. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals as individuals. I don't expect every dog or cat to immediately love me, and I don't force interaction. I believe comprehensive care starts with paying attention to what makes an animal feel safe, comfortable and understood. I work from home with a flexible schedule and control over my own hours, which gives me plenty of time to incorporate walks, play, enrichment, meals, potty breaks and companionship throughout the day. Our household is unusually quiet and relaxed. There are no children in the home, and my neighborhood is a peaceful residential area that's well suited to walks and downtime. Pets staying with me have opportunities for activity and engagement, but also plenty of time and space to settle, nap and simply relax. Because I'm home much of the day, pet care fits naturally into my routine rather than having to be squeezed in around a long commute or rigid work schedule. I believe pet care starts with understanding the *individual* animal. I take time to learn each pet's normal routine, temperament, preferences, training cues, feeding needs and anything that may make them uncomfortable or stressed. My approach is calm, patient and attentive. I don't force interactions, and I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior. I follow owners' established routines and management instructions carefully because consistency can make being away from home much easier for a pet. My home is clean, quiet, child-free and low-stress, in a peaceful residential neighborhood. I want visiting pets to have a comfortable place where they can play and engage when they want to, but can also settle and rest without constant activity, noise or disruption. When caring for pets in their own homes, I bring the same approach: respect the animal's familiar environment, follow the household's routines carefully, communicate reliably with the owner, and leave things exactly as I found them.

She asked great questions during the meet and greet that I didn’t even think of like whether I needed any plants watered and if she needed to adjust the thermostat at all. There were some technical difficulties with my reptile enclosure and she was so helpful in figuring it out while I was away. As for my kitties, they seemed very content when we returned from our trip so I know she cared for them well and I sooo appreciated the daily update pictures. About: My family has had dogs my whole life, I spent lots of my time caring for out puppies by feeding them, giving them baths and brushing them, administering medication, and most importantly, playing outside and going on walks!! I’m a preschool special education paraprofessional and am out of work for the summer months and love pets and going on walks!! I have very open availability during this time and once school starts back up in mid August, I will have open availability on weekends and early morning (before 7:00am) and afternoon availability after 3:30pm! Some safety measures I take with pets is triple checking leashes/harnesses are securely attached before heading outside for a walk, having strong leash control and minimizing distractions to prevent any accidents, not leaving them unattended, sticking to their provided diet/keeping human food out of reach, and making sure I have all the information I would need on the pet and the owners just in case of an emergency.
