Virginia took such great care of our kitty while we were away. She went above and beyond, spending extra time with her and sending photos. I knew our cat was in good hands which gave us peace of mind. Virginia is very conscientious and thoughtful, and I highly recommend her.

About: Since I was 16 years old, I have cared for and pet sat for dogs. Over the last 20 years I’ve had two of my own dogs that I got when they were six weeks old. I believe a happy focused, dedicated puppy stage (with lots of treats) makes for a loving, caring obedient, joyful dog to be able to live their best life. Enjoying all the things they were created for. I look forward to helping your dog enjoy their time at home while you are on vacation. A side note to add is I am a mother of 4 and I have two younger boys ages 13 and 11 who will be taking turns to attend with me during my visits as a teaching opportunity for more skills with different dogs. I am a stay at home mom with four kids. My children’s ages range from 22-11yrs. My stage of life provides for many opportunities to be able to share my time to help care for animals while providing moments to teach my children how to care for others. We have a large fenced yard, and are happy to also help with crating if needed. Daily walks and feedings are built into are routine. Having this same routine allows for us to easily help others with the same needs.

About: Only taking walking or housesitting clients in DIXON, DAVIS, and VACAVILLE! I’ve always had a pet since I was 4 and I love animals. I currently have 3 dogs that I care for and love taking them on walks to parks. When it comes to your pets I will make sure everything they need will be taken care of, and send plenty of pics of them if you’d like! I currently work part-time, and currently looking to expand my streams of income to save up for my own place one day. My schedule is flexible and I will make whatever work! You tell me the fur babies' routine and schedule and that’s what we’re doing as best as I can—regarding my schedule + distance. If they take vitamins/pills in the morning, or 3x a day, just let me know, I’ve done it all! I understand pets can be extra on edge when their parents are away, so keeping things how they’re used to is important to me to help them feel as comfortable as possible.

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. As a pet owner, I care for my playful puppy, Milo, and my kitten, Whillow, every day. I have experience with feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, basic puppy care, and making pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I know every pet has a unique personality, so I take the time to learn their routine and provide care that’s tailored to them. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll treat them with patience, kindness, and respect. I’ll also send photo updates and communicate throughout every visit so you always know your pet is happy and well cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable, attentive care throughout the day. I’m available on weekdays and weekends for drop-in visits and dog walks. I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible and will always communicate clearly if my availability changes. My goal is to make sure your pet stays on their normal routine while you’re away. I understand that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’ll carefully follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medication instructions (if needed), and any special requests. During every visit, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh water, receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, and I’ll always leave your home clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. You’ll receive photo updates and messages after each visit so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: Hi! I'm a UC Davis basketball player and lifelong animal lover. I grew up with dogs all of my life in Alaska, and since moving away for school, I really miss having a dog around. That's what inspired me to start pet sitting! I've also cared for cats—I shared one with my roommate last year—and I love spending time with animals of all personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with someone nearby, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. As a student-athlete in preseason, I have workouts in the mornings, but my afternoons are free, giving me plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and making sure your pet gets the attention they need. My schedule is consistent throughout the week, and I have weekends off, which makes me available for longer visits, overnight care, and even weekend boarding when needed. I'll always make sure your pet receives reliable, attentive care and sticks to their usual routine as much as possible. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and there are no other pets in my home, providing a calm, low stress environment. I'll follow your pet's routine, give them plenty of attention, and make sure they always feel secure, comfortable, and well cared for during their stay.

About: I have loved animals ever since I was young, spending a lot of time taking care of my own, family, and friend’s pets. From high energy play to slow and chill pets I have experienced it all. My personal pet, Luke, is my pride and joy, he loves to play all of the time and even knows sit, stand, follow, high five, and first bump! 🐱 My goal is to make sure your pets feel the love and quality care I make sure to treat my fur baby with. ♥️ I am currently working remotely, thus, I have tons of time to give your pets plenty of love and care! If you need any specifics please let me know, I am willing to work with you and take care of your needs hassle free. I personally have a 7 month old kitten and I believe the care I provide for him highlights the level of care I would provide your pet. While my cat has a very out going and high energy personality, I also love and enjoy pets who are shy or reserved. I can change my care as needed. However, the following is the care I provide my pet. - Litter Box scooping 2x a day - Preparing and Feeding 2x a day - Plenty of Play Time - Training with Treats - Tons of cuddles - Brushing - Teeth brushing daily

About: I have been a dog lover ever since I was young and I got my first dog when I was 7. I took care of him until he left me. I feel like all animals around me are my best friends. I also volunteered in a non governmental organization in the Philippines to help out with animals who are in need and needs love and attention. Interned in a pet clinic which taught me how to prepare their medicine and inject them in their IV lines If only I could adopt all those animals who need a home I would rush to any animal shelter and provide everything they need. I think that’s what makes me different from other sitters and walkers because in the future I want to be a veterinarian and save animals. It has been my dream to help these lovely creatures. I’m currently a full time student but I have a lot of free time to take care of pets! I would be available to walk dogs during my free times and dog sit during weekends I live in an apartment with a cat. I have cat proofed my house but in the past, I have put up a barred gate for my dog during potty breaks

About: Hi fellow dog lovers! I am a veterinary assistant for Banfield Pet Hospital looking to take care of your pet in my free time! About: My family has had dogs my whole life, I spent lots of my time caring for out puppies by feeding them, giving them baths and brushing them, administering medication, and most importantly, playing outside and going on walks!! I’m a preschool special education paraprofessional and am out of work for the summer months and love pets and going on walks!! I have very open availability during this time and once school starts back up in mid August, I will have open availability on weekends and early morning (before 7:00am) and afternoon availability after 3:30pm! Some safety measures I take with pets is triple checking leashes/harnesses are securely attached before heading outside for a walk, having strong leash control and minimizing distractions to prevent any accidents, not leaving them unattended, sticking to their provided diet/keeping human food out of reach, and making sure I have all the information I would need on the pet and the owners just in case of an emergency.

About: **I don't charge for additional pets!! I’ve always been an animal enthusiast growing up in the country I did whatever I could to be around animals constantly. In our home we had four dogs, two hamsters, a corn snake, a half-blind horse, countless hermit crabs, and a parakeet. There is truly no animal I don't love and won't do my best to care for. Growing up with these animals I've had the privilege to be there when they were puppies/kittens/babies all the way through the end of their life, so I have extensive experience with care in every life stage. I've carried that love and passion with me into adulthood. As an adult I've worked for a year as a kennel technician at a humane society enriching, socializing, training, and advocating for dogs, cats, and small animals. I also regularly volunteer time at humane societies when I can and regularly foster cats, to date I've successfully fostered over 10 cats who are now all in happy homes. Through fostering I've experienced some harder care cases. Including fostering 3 week old sick kittens requiring syringe feedings, multiple medications, and detailed weight tracking. I've also had the privilege of fostering a hospice case who required food, liquid, and medication administration through an e-tube along with extensive monitoring. No matter what kind of care your pet needs I will do my best to ensure they receive the love, respect, and attention they deserve. I look forward to helping you and your furry (and maybe scaly) family members! I'm avaliable for drop-ins, boarding, and walking M-F after 2:30 PM! I can also do breakfast drop-ins during the week between 5:00-5:30 AM, or earlier if need be. I'm open and available most weekends for all pet care, I keep my schedule updated 3 months out! If you want to book further than 3 months just send me a message and I'm happy to work with you! My top priority is making sure your pet feels comfortable and safe. Each visit, walk, or stay is individual and entirely customizable for your pet. To ensure your pet receives the best care I require an initial meet and greet, or phone call so we can discuss what the ideal care looks like. I prioritize customizable care, communication, and enrichment to make sure your pet has the best 'staycation' ever!

Virginia was absolutely amazing! My cats are spoiled rotten and Virginia continued to spoil them while in her care! My babies are very shy and hide from everyone. Virginia kept me updated with pictures of feeding time and after. My babies actually came out of hiding for her! She stayed a little bit after feeding and gave everyone lovings. That pleased me greatly. Virginia was awesome! I recommend Virginia for the best animal care you can get!

Tracy came over for a drop-in meet and greet as part of transitioning my dog, who has special needs and generalized anxiety around new people, dogs, and environments. She has strong dog instincts cultivated over a lifetime of personal and professional experience with dogs. Just as importantly, she was very receptive to listening to my dog’s specific needs. She asked thoughtful questions and followed guidance well, which I really appreciated. My normally shy dog warmed up to her quickly, which says a lot. Tracy was calm, respectful, and patient, and I feel confident continuing to work with her as we build out more support for my dog so I can travel with peace of mind.

  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
