“Chelsea took great care of the kitty and house during extended travels. It was an immeasurable relief to have such confidence in her care and be able to focus on work and family.”
“Kathleen has become my right hand man for taking care of my new Giant Schnauzer puppy. She is able to answer all my questions and check on her daily. Kathleen is diligent in giving updated feedback with a picture so this worried mama can be at ease. Kathleen has been very trustworthy with coming into our property and doing what needs to be done with our puppy while we are at work. Our dogs enjoy her daily visits.”

About: I have always been an animal lover and have had pets most of my adult life. Currently, I only have a senior cat who is living her best life. In addition to my own pets, I have had experience sitting for friends and family. I have lots of time to spend with your pets and give them lots of love. I’m currently not working outside the home and would love nothing more than to be able to spend time with animals and help fill a need at the same time. I will care for client pets as if they were my own. I will treat their home with respect and follow their instructions to the letter. I have plenty of time to spend with their pets and give them lots of love. I feel strongly that our homes are our sanctuaries and will make sure the home is secure and the pets are safe every time I leave.
“Juliana has been great with our dog. She always gives lots of photo and information about how our dog did on her visit and suggestions and ideas of things to try. As new dog owners we have really appreciated her help and feedback. We highly recommend her as a pet sitter.”

“Wow! I've been searching for two years for a great dog sitter in Sacramento. I finally found one. It took me over a dozen of bookings and meet and greets to find her, but she was the best. Please use her to make sure your time away from your doggos is free from worry. Lots of pictures and she actually uses the app like people are supposed to. Don't book her up, because I need her!”

“This was my first time using Rover, and I was a little hesitant at first. After finding Jazmine's profile, I knew she would be the perfect sitter for my cat. And she absolutely exceeded my expectations. Jazmine was communicative throughout the entire stay and consistently sent photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She also went above and beyond by helping with a few household chores, which was so thoughtful. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat and couldn't be more grateful. I highly recommend Jazmine to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter!”

“Morgan was so wonderful! Needed a mid day drop-in for my senior dog. Reached out with only a day or so notice (my fault) and Morgan was able to help no problem! Always nice to have a sitter in the area you can count on and trust, Morgan is definitely on my list ᵕ̈”

“WE LOVE CHELSEA. We have a 2 year old skittish Australian shepherd. A very friendly 1 year old German shepherd. A senior chihuahua and a 3 year old cat. Chelsea was very patient with our skittish Aussie and was able to navigate feeding and playing with her. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
