“Clyde was boarded for a week with Kathleen on New Years while we were out of town! She did an amazing job keeping us informed on how he was doing and sent lots of pictures throughout the trip! She was very vigilant in asking us how we have trained Clyde and what we do to curve some of his bad habits; she used the same training techniques that we use so it wouldn’t confuse Clyde. Kathleen also has her own pup (Honey) who played with Clyde the whole week. He came home super tired and beat (which is rare for him). The following days after his visit were also a joy because he still listened and followed most of our commands/routines. Usually when we leave him at my moms, he comes home and acts differently (bad) because she lets him get away with so much. Overall, Kathleen did a great job with Clyde and we will definitely be having him boarded with her and Honey again!”

About: i have had my lovely cat for almost 8 years now. i know there's still more to come because some of the things we've gone through are things i didn't expect to happen so soon or at all. the first unexpected journey was taking in another cat while a family member moved. my cat is an only child so having another cat in the house was not fun for him. it took some time for him to get comfortable around the other, but they eventually became friends. another time my cat had a procedure done and to prevent any infection i learned to give him liquid and pill medication.

Besides my own, friends and family have trusted me with feeding and playing with their pets. I’m currently working part time and will have plenty of time to walk. Majority of the time it would include evening walks and sometimes morning ones. I will make sure to plan my walking route ahead of time, in order to avoid any hazards or potential triggers to the dog. Priority is a safe and happy pup, and will make sure not only the pathway is clear but that the dog feels comfortable.
About: I am a regular volunteer at the YOLO animal shelter and Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary. At home I take care of all of my exotic pets, I own a parakeet, cockatiel, bearded dragon, rat, and two fish tanks. I love my at home zoo and taking care of everybody, I'd love to share that joy with YOU! I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule to accommodate all YOUR pet's needs! Weekdays are very flexible where-as weekends need a couple days notice. I follow directions diligently and confidently. About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs. I’ve had my own dogs for many years and grew up around dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. In addition, I did dog sitting for neighbors and families for several years when I was younger, helping with walking, feeding, and daily care. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs that need patience and clear routines, including leash training and behavioral challenges. Dogs are family members to me, and I always treat them with love, structure, and respect. I’m calm, patient, and attentive, and I make sure every dog feels safe and comfortable in my care. I’m very flexible and spend a lot of time at home. I work partly from home and partly in the office, but my schedule allows me to adapt easily to a dog’s needs. Dogs are rarely left alone, and I can adjust my routine to provide plenty of attention, walks, and companionship. Dogs in my care are treated like family. They are allowed to relax freely in my home, including on the couch. I live with two small dogs, so it’s important that visiting dogs are friendly and comfortable around other dogs. About: I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and turtles. they were family pets and i learned a lot watching my siblings raise their dogs. i have a 7 year old cat that i've raised since he was a kitten. I have also fostered another cat for a few months. although introducing my cat with the foster was time consuming, it was worth to see them get along. I work part time as a barista. i don't have set days off but i work very early mornings. i am also taking a couple online courses, but i go at my own pace so im flexible with afternoons and evenings. just like with little humans, i make sure cleaning supplies, little choking hazards, and toxic foods are stored high in storage closets where my cat can't get into. i vacuum regularly in case i have dropped small pieces of plastic (that my cat loves more than toys for some reason). i will occasionally pet sit for my sister when she is away on vacation. i don't assume i know her pets better than she does, so i have texted her before about a concern i had about her dog. i fed both her pets at the same time, but one refused to eat. instead of assuming that her dog would eventually eat, i reached out to know if there was anything i could do differently and the solution was a change in environment. i would then feed them in separate rooms and that did the trick. i loved sending her pictures of them unprompted and when asked.
About: I have always had a passion for animals and it seems they’ve always been drawn to me! Growing up my mom owned a small pet sitting business. We took care of dogs, cats, birds, even an entire farm. Over the years of helping my mom and pet sitting on my own, I’ve gained plenty of knowledge and patience for all furry friends! “Clyde was boarded for a week with Kathleen on New Years while we were out of town! She did an amazing job keeping us informed on how he was doing and sent lots of pictures throughout the trip! She was very vigilant in asking us how we have trained Clyde and what we do to curve some of his bad habits; she used the same training techniques that we use so it wouldn’t confuse Clyde. Kathleen also has her own pup (Honey) who played with Clyde the whole week. He came home super tired and beat (which is rare for him). The following days after his visit were also a joy because he still listened and followed most of our commands/routines. Usually when we leave him at my moms, he comes home and acts differently (bad) because she lets him get away with so much. Overall, Kathleen did a great job with Clyde and we will definitely be having him boarded with her and Honey again!”
