About: My own pup crossed the rainbow bridge not long ago, so I’m looking to pass on the love to any and all pups! She lived to 13 years old so senior dogs have a special place in my heart, but I also raised her from a puppy so I’m comfortable with all ages. I’m a stay-at-home wife with no children and no pets currently. My husband is in the Air Force so I’m looking to find ways to spend my time during the days. My schedule is fairly open! I have a fenced backyard with a good amount of space and live in a nice quiet neighborhood. I am willing to make as many accommodations as needed, and am really open to whatever is needed. I prefer to only host one household at a time, but will occasionally be open to overlapping bookings if only by a day or two, and all parties are comfortable with it. Please don’t be afraid to let me know your preferences as well.
“Dawna was AWESOME! Her concern for my boys and their welfare gave me tremendous peace of mind! They gave her a run for her money but she was patient and persistent and they eventually behaved themselves! I highly highly recommend her and will absolutely be using her again in the future!”

“I highly recommend Ella as a cat sitter! She has been taking care of my cat, Mitchell for quite some time now, and she never fails to impress. Mitchell absolutely adores her, and they have the most wonderful bond. Whenever Ella comes over, Mitchell recognizes her immediately. It's comforting to know that Mitchell is not only in good hands but also with one of his best friends. Ella is incredibly trustworthy, communicative, and skilled in pet care. I always feel secure knowing Mitchell is well cared for when I'm away. Thank you so much, Ella, for your excellent care and dedication!”

“It’s was our first time leaving our dog at home while we went on a trip and Rocelyn went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable with her and well taken care of throughout our trip. She sent a ton of photos and videos, was very punctual, and cared about the well being of my dog! I would have been a stress ball if it weren’t for her.”

“Kristin has watched my two big dogs several times, so this review is LONG OVERDUE! Kristin is always reliable and provides pictures and updates daily. My dogs are always excited to see her and she has done a lot of great work training with my German Shepherd puppy (90lbs puppy!). Kristin is always my first choice when selecting Rovers to work with my dogs. Highly recommend!”

“Harry did an excellent job in taking care of our babies We appreciated the daily updates as Mom was worried. We will definitely use him again. Thanks for the care and service.”

From feeding, walking, and administering basic care to providing companionship, playtime, and maintaining routines, I take pride in treating every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where pets feel secure and well cared for. I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of free time to spare. I have an assortment of different pet species and I would love to care for other pets aswell!💛 My dogs spend their day playing together or relaxing around the house, they go on evening walks or a couple hours at the dog park depending on the plans for the day.
“Tasha did drop-in visits for my elderly dog Brewster and was excellent. Senior dogs need patience and attention to the little things, and she never missed a beat, stuck to his routine, was gentle with him, and kept me updated every visit. Brewster was relaxed and happy, and I never had to wonder how he was doing. If you have an older dog, Tasha is the one. Highly recommend.”

About: I've been caring for animals for over 10 years and have three cats of my own, including one that's about to be 6 years old. I’m also available for house-sitting excluding Tues/Thursday evenings starting August 24th due to my class schedule! In addition, I can commute to Napa as I regularly go into town! I always follow each pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress while you're away. About: Since I was about six I have always had dogs in my household. At a young age I learned the responsibilities it takes to be patient, loving, and caring for another living being (pets!). I have had two dogs my whole life, both pit bulls. While I have experience with youthful dogs, I also have experience in taking care of elderly dogs. One of my dogs recently passed away of old age and I took care of her by myself. During the week, I am working from 8am-5pm. I am available before 8am and after 5pm on weekdays. In the weekend, my availability is open and may be scheduled to change. I will not be bringing pets into my home. In regards to care for pets in client’s home, I will follow the directions given to me and ask any questions and/or concerns that come up. It’s all about communication, if I am not sure about something I will simply ask. In the event where I have a question and/or concern and the client does not respond, I will use my best judgement; as I have had dogs all my life.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fairfield
I recently had the pleasure of having Allyson take care of our pets overnight, and I couldn't be more pleased with her service! She looked after our cat, Willow, and our two dogs, Elsa (a German Shepherd) and Bruno (a Yorkie), and she did a fantastic job. Allyson was attentive and caring, making sure that each of our pets received the love and attention they deserve. She fed them on schedule and took them out for bathroom breaks without any issues. I really appreciated her dedication to their well-being. She even checked in on our hermit crabs! I highly recommend Allyson for anyone needing pet care services. She is reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares for animals. Thank you, Allyson, for taking such great care of Willow, Elsa, and Bruno!

Kristin was very communicative with updates on our cats. She was very sweet and took care of them very well. One of our cats who is a senior and is shy took to liking her very much. Also very prompt, on time with each visits, and great with the taking care of each individual cat's needs. As a first time user on rover, she was a gem.

Wow! Did we get lucky with Rocelyn!! We decided to leave last min out of town and we were soooo fortunate to have found Rocelyn and her having availability! Especially on 4th of July weekend! Our little pup freaks over fireworks so we also needed someone that could help her feel secure and that’s exactly what Rocelyn did! Plus she helped clean the doggies area which was a huge help, something we didn’t ask her to do but she did it out of kindness!! So sweet. We felt our pups were very happy and had a blast with her as she came in to check on them. There was a lot of communication, pictures shared and overall we very good experience! Will book again!

Cristina was wonderful!! We had a change in schedule at the last minute but, she was able to assist. She communicated extremely well through the whole process, took pictures and provided great notes. When we got home, we returned to what we expected, Excited Pets!!! We will be using Cristina again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
