About: My name is Destiny and I grew up caring for large and small dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens from birth through adulthood. As an adult, I continue to care for both cats and dogs, including adopted shelter cats and my own Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle. Both of my dogs are neutered, gentle and affectionate. My Standard Poodle loves to run and play and can be wonderfully bouncy, but he's also surprisingly nurturing and likes to make sure everyone is okay. My Labrador is basically Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh—a lovely potato who is particularly drawn to wee, scrappy dogs. I actively study canine behavior and learning. I train and participate in dog sports including obedience, scent work/nose work, agility, Barn Hunt and NASDA. I'm comfortable observing canine body language, following established training and management routines, providing enrichment, and adapting my approach to the individual dog. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals as individuals. I don't expect every dog or cat to immediately love me, and I don't force interaction. I believe comprehensive care starts with paying attention to what makes an animal feel safe, comfortable and understood. I work from home with a flexible schedule and control over my own hours, which gives me plenty of time to incorporate walks, play, enrichment, meals, potty breaks and companionship throughout the day. Our household is unusually quiet and relaxed. There are no children in the home, and my neighborhood is a peaceful residential area that's well suited to walks and downtime. Pets staying with me have opportunities for activity and engagement, but also plenty of time and space to settle, nap and simply relax. Because I'm home much of the day, pet care fits naturally into my routine rather than having to be squeezed in around a long commute or rigid work schedule. I believe pet care starts with understanding the *individual* animal. I take time to learn each pet's normal routine, temperament, preferences, training cues, feeding needs and anything that may make them uncomfortable or stressed. My approach is calm, patient and attentive. I don't force interactions, and I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior. I follow owners' established routines and management instructions carefully because consistency can make being away from home much easier for a pet. My home is clean, quiet, child-free and low-stress, in a peaceful residential neighborhood. I want visiting pets to have a comfortable place where they can play and engage when they want to, but can also settle and rest without constant activity, noise or disruption. When caring for pets in their own homes, I bring the same approach: respect the animal's familiar environment, follow the household's routines carefully, communicate reliably with the owner, and leave things exactly as I found them.

About: My experience with animals goes far beyond pet sitting. I began volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center at age 10 and continued through age 16, which sparked my lifelong passion for animal care. I went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology. I’ve also worked in multiple veterinary clinics as a surgical assistant and spent a year working in animal control. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality, habits, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions before their stay. My background in wildlife rehabilitation, veterinary clinics, and animal control has taught me how important it is to pay close attention to behavior and recognize when something is out of the ordinary. I’m comfortable handling animals with different personalities and energy levels and understand the importance of patience, supervision, and a calm environment. I also love keeping dogs active with walks, play, enrichment, and outdoor time when appropriate. I have my own fenced in yard and a large sized kennel in my home if needed.

With all the kids off to college, I’m now enjoying being a stay-at-home dog and cat mom and would love to use my extra time to help other pet parents feel confident that their animals are happy, loved, and cared for while they’re away. About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life, as well as all sorts of other animals. I watch my sisters dogs on a weekly basis, and love to help others! I’m a fan of medium to large dogs, and I’m on time, with reliable transportation. I will treat your fur-baby with the same amount of love that I do mine! I’m currently taking a break from regular work, looking to babysit and pet sit for a few months to bring some joy into my life! I’m available weekdays anytime, and Sundays from 1pm into the night. Some Saturdays, can be flexible. I keep my home clean and well maintained. I open feed my own cats, and spend time with them whenever possible. I like to clean my littler boxes every day, and when I had a dog of my own, I would walk her 4-5 times a day, and play with her all the time. I love training, and engaging with animals. At home, I care for my five-year-old Aussie Doodle every single day. I make sure she’s well-fed, always has fresh water, and of course, gets her favorite treats. We go on walks, play together, and every night, I tuck her into bed, it’s part of our routine and something I truly enjoy. Her happiness and comfort are always my priority. I also cared for my aunt’s senior dog for a week, and it was a very different but equally rewarding experience. He had a strict walking and feeding schedule that I followed closely to keep him comfortable and healthy. I made sure he received plenty of love, attention, and care throughout the day, adjusting to his pace and needs. Whether it's my own pet or someone else’s, I always put in the time and heart to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well taken care of.

About: I have taken care of pets for family and friends and my own as well. I have bathed, fed,walked, played and gave medication to pets. Full time SAHM so much free time to care for your furry pets. Please take me into consideration, I am very excited to be able to get to know every fur baby stay inside unless needed to be walked or go play. Each furry friend is watched carefully. About: Where your dog will be on its own vacation !!!! I grew up having two huskies and now have a friendly playful husky that is 6 months old and one German Shepard Mix who is 5. Both of my dogs are female. It’s important your dog is up-to-date on all their vaccinations and given a monthly flea treatment. I’ve been around dogs all my life. I have 25 years experience with dogs. They are desperately looking for new playmates.. I have a huge backyard that is 6500 square feet for dogs to play. I volunteered as a dog walker at a rescue shelter called Pets in need and volunteered as a volunteer for 1 year at The Peninsula Humane Society.I have several years experience as a pet sitter. I have also watched my friends and families dogs.we have a doggy pool set up for your dogs to play and get out their energy in the summer. About: I have cared for a wide range of animals since my childhood on a small family farm. I have bottle fed kittens to goats, trained puppies to ducks, and cared for little piglets to senior dogs. I also have some experience with medical procedures with dogs and cats, to farm animals. Experience with cats with diabetes, pets with blindness, deafness, and immobility. I enjoy caring for animals of all shapes and sizes and good care and enrichment is always my top priority! I like to check on my animals and animals I’m caring for a minimum of 3 times a day for 30 minutes each. With cats I like to spend time playing, setting up enrichment activities, and learning how they are most comfortable. With dogs I like to do a minimum of 3 walks a day followed by some of their favorite activities. I believe pets should be checked on morning, afternoon and evening at minimum. I like to follow the routine of the pets parents to a T so as to not disturb the pets while their families are gone. I think having a routine is important for a pet especially when their people/family are gone.

About: Growing up, my family fostered sick kittens and raised rats. Now, I love working with critters of all sorts, and I'd love to get to know yours. I offer a flat rate with no upcharge for additional animals or medical needs. As a PhD student, my schedule is especially flexible over the summer. I am usually in Sacramento a few days per week and Davis otherwise, but I'm happy to work with your schedule. With reliable wifi, I'm happy to work from your home to accommodate your pet's schedule. Availability for frequency of potty breaks/walks varies; just ask! On all visits, if anything seems off, I will check in right away--better safe than sorry.
