She asked great questions before we left and we felt in touch with pictures and updates during our vacation. She stayed with our dog, walked her, played with her and loved her while we were away. She was a very tidy house guest, cleaned before she left and our house was just as we left it. I would absolutely recommend Heidi for someone looking for a pet sitter.”

About: I have taken care of family and friends dogs for the past 10 years. I am comfortable walking, checking in and house sitting dogs as needed. My schedule does change but open to working out something as it comes up. Currently I am unavailable for the most part from 7am -5 pm on weekdays. I have never had any issues with animal sitting in the past and make sure to put in the same care and safety with others pets as my own.

About: I have a deep genuine love for all animals. I absolutely love dogs, I have experience with big overly energetic dogs and small ones as well. I’m very energetic, caring and compassionate so I know your pet will enjoy it’s time with me. I like to stay fit so walking with your pet won’t just be a job but a fun enjoyable activity. I have a lot of patience with dogs and cats. I have cat handling training and I also have my own 3yr old cat. I have a free schedule I’m very understanding and flexible when it comes to time and availability. I’m a naturally caring and nurturing person so giving your pet any type of special care won’t be a problem for me.

About: I have grown up around dogs since I was born. I have always loved caring for and interacting with dogs. I do not have my own dog currently, but would love to help care for others! I am currently substitute teaching at an elementary school, so there may be weekdays I am unavailable. I am currently not working full time, so I will be available to walk your dog(s) throughout the week! I am open to walking as far as needed for your pup. I have experience safely walking more energized dogs, so your dog will be in good hands! I have also walked up to 3 dogs at a time (various sizes) if you have more than one that needs to be walked a time.

“Loraine took great care of my senior dog. She sent daily updates and was on top of her medications and other extra care needs as a senior. Leaving our dog with Loraine gave us peace of mind while we traveled that our dog was in great hands. I would highly recommend her!”

About: my family rescued our first (adult) cat off the streets when i was in 5th grade, and i’ve been dedicated to helping cats (and other animals) as much as possible since then. two of our cats were brothers (one of them passed away at age 12 in 2022 + the other we had to put down at age 15 in july 2025) — we rescued them right before they were about to put them to sleep because no one was taking them when they were less than a year old — i was in 7th/8th grade. the other two were a mother and kitten daughter, i was a sophomore in high school. my current + only cat is 4 years old, my manager’s cousin was looking to give her kitten away because she didn’t have time to take care of her, and at the time i still had one of the brothers who was very lonely, so i took her in at the end of 2022. because i have experienced having 3 females and 2 males in the same household for 4-5 years, i understand the importance of measures needed to be taken to introduce new pets, keeping peace, and how to break up fights before they start or as they start. i’ve had cats who have dealt with/have helped them out with the following: having cancer, giving birth, stage four kidney disease, feline aids, ear infections/ear mites, saddle thrombus, open wounds, eye colds, some sicknesses, soothing distressed animals, giving baths, brushing teeth, cleaning litter boxes, playtime, distracting cats, feeding them, cuddling, minimal/medium level grooming, cats going through heat (the mother & daughter both weren’t neutered for a bit - some of my old stuffed animals will never be the same) and many more things. my sister has a cattle herding dog that i’ve babysat whenever she comes into town - many times when he was a puppy — so in terms of dogs, my experience is: dealing with teething, playtime, going on walks/picking up any poop, taking him out for bathroom breaks, feeding, training (with instructions given by owner), soothing anxious dogs, dogs that jump, anxious barking/anxious energy, puppies with separation anxiety, distracting dogs, cuddling, and minimal grooming. i am happy to bring your pet to and from vet appointments, as long as the location is within a 10-15 mile radius and they are relatively easy to get into their carrier. i can take care of dogs/puppies, cats/kittens, reptiles, hamsters, chinchillas — basically any animal aside from snakes and spiders, i’m happy to take care of! i have an enormous amount of love for animals and although they are very smart + capable, i feel a personal responsibility to help them and care for them, especially when they can’t do it themselves. listening to animals and their verbal/physical cues, along with noticing and respecting the boundaries they have, is so important. i’ve also: helped friends walk their dogs, feed them, soothe them, distract them, and bathe them. i also have experience with taking injured birds into wildlife conservatories. i do not have experience with taking care of senior dogs, but i do have experience with taking care of senior cats. as of 2025, i have experienced dealing with the death of four of our cats (we had to give the fourth one away after a few years - we couldn't afford to have her neutered, and we decided it would be better for her well being if she was able to have owners who could do that for her), so it's given me an immense understanding of how important it is to give pets all the love, affection, care, keeping them safe, keeping them healthy, etc needed. Although, I am sad that we're down to just one cat now, who I love very much, being able to take care of other cats helps keep life from feeling too empty, and gives me a chance to continue giving my love to animals. clients who choose to continue booking with me get locked in prices — this means that the cost you paid per visit after your second booking gets locked in and doesn’t change, even if i increase my per drop in visit cost. this became implemented in September of 2023 — if you’re a client who has been booking with me prior to September, your prices are already locked in. if you begin booking with me post-September 2023, you’ll need to book me at least two times in order to get locked in prices. i find that working with the same pets consistently allows them to feel more comfortable and safe and allows me to build a good relationship with clients, as well. I currently am taking online classes at College of DuPage, so that is a very flexible aspect of my schedule. I also have a part time job as an Interior Design Assistant that I have a set schedule for, so that shouldn’t cause any issues. I work Tuesdays and Thursdays for the majority of the day, but am able to do drop in visits at night. I occasionally work Saturdays as well, but can do afternoon and night drop in visits on those days. With that being said, I prefer to have at least 1-2 weeks notice in advance when booking visits to ensure time for doing a meet and greet. I do not book drop in visits without doing a meet and greet first. Meet and greets are my vetting process to ensure safety for myself, any potential clients, and your lovely pet(s). It also allows us to go over any instructions, me receiving keys/codes/etc, and gives your pet(s) a chance to get a feel of me with their owner around so they feel safer when seeing me for the first time and it is less of a surprise to them when I arrive for any actual bookings. I'm not a morning person, so I prefer to do afternoon and evening drop ins, that way I can ensure that I can do the drop ins at the time we've agreed on, but am willing to do late mornings (starting at 11/11:30 am). to get this aspect out of the way -- when doing meet and greets, i bring my mom with me for my own safety. i hope any owner who wants to work with me is okay with that. i also occasionally bring her with me to do evening drop ins, if/when owners are okay with it (she likes hanging out with pets lol). every cat i’ve done a drop in for always loves her immediately - i’m convinced they can sense the mom in her, and they're drawn to that. she is also willing to substitute for me and do drop in visits whenever have a work shift that i cannot change, as long as it's also okay with the pet owner. i don’t host animals in my home overnight -- although we only have one cat now, she is very territorial and anxious. while i would love for her to have a friend to play with, i would not risk the safety of your pet or mine. at a client’s home, i would of course respect any boundaries they have in terms of where they want their pet and where they don’t want them, what they can and cannot do, etc. i would prefer to be given a list of instructions of rooms they’re not allowed in, activities they enjoy, if the litter box needs to be cleaned out, if one pet is particularly anxious or needs me to sit there with them while they eat (my cat needs me to pet him while he eats), things they like and things they don’t like, etc. i like communication to be as clear and thorough as possible, so i can do the best job and keep clients and pets as happy, comfortable, and safe as possible and to help build trust. in terms of administering any type of liquid medicine like eye drops or oral medicine, i would prefer to solely do drop ins in the evening, so i can take my mom with me for help. whenever we administered liquid medicine, but specifically the two examples i mentioned above, it's always been a two person job.

“Grace is outstanding! Our senior basset hound and cat seem to have taken to her. She updated us regularly and was extremely responsive to our inquiries. We highly recommend Grace and look forward to working with her again!”
