“Kirsten did a great job sitting for my puppy! He recently had a procedure done so he is recovering, and she followed all instructions and kept me updated. As a first time, puppy owner I’m nervous about what to do w him, but I’m definitely grateful for sitters like Kirsten that can watch him while I go to work especially these first few days.”

“I highly recommend Danielle!!!! She was accommodating to our very busy day & she took such great care of Ralphie. She is just lovely, you cannot go wrong booking Danielle!!!”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life -- both my own dogs and as the go-to sitter for friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors. Across my extensive time caring for dogs, I have gained experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I am particularly good with nervous or timid dogs, and I am very comfortable with dogs who have special medical needs. Last year I had to say goodbye to my own greatly beloved dog after two years of very intense cancer care. While I am not ready for a new dog of my own yet, I am eager to shower other people's dogs with affection and care. I have a very flexible schedule and am available for dog care most days. On days listed as available, I am able to spend almost all of the time at home with the dog(s). I do not currently have any other animals in the home, and your dog will receive my full attention! I have a wide variety of dog beds for them to try out and toys for them to play with.

“Don’t hesitate for a second. Arman knows dogs! My dog Rosie fell in love with Arman and we are forever changed by his kindness. Rosie spend Wednesdays with Arman and family for 15 weeks and became a more well-rounded confident dog after suffering abuse as a pup. We are so thankful to me you! ❤️ 🐕”

“Lara was absolutely the best at taking care of our pup Perseus. He got along well with her, she knew how to make him comfortable in a new place, and she sent pictures and videos during the day care.”

“Yantian has done an amazing job taking care of our two dogs. His communication has been excellent and always keeping us updated with pictures and letting us know whenever something comes up. He’s been great with walks, and it’s clear our dogs really enjoyed their time with him. In fact, they didn’t even want to come back with us (lol🤣) which says a lot! We truly appreciate the care and attention he gave them. Highly recommend!”

“Isaiah was great with our two dogs (husky and 1 year old akita/husky/german shepard mix.) We would definitely go back to him if we were going to be in San Diego again.”

“Cali loved hanging out with Ashley and her Yorkie’s! Also, Ashley was very communicative, sent me photos throughout the day and was very accommodating. Cali was so tired when I picked her up which always means she had the best time playing and being active throughout the day.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 15. I walked and watched my neighbors, friends and family’s dogs when they went on vacation or during the day for potty breaks. I love dogs and have always had a dog of my own. I will treat your dog as if they were mine. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I walk my dog every 3 hours with a long walk in the morning and evening. I walk my dog very frequently, with a long walk in the morning and evening adding up to 5 miles a day. I can also take your dog to the dog park if you and your dog are comfortable with the dog park. I can crate and give medicine if necessary.

“Neena was great! She was available last minute for doggy day care and took our dog for two walks during the day. She was flexible with us and we would use her again!!”

“Mounia was wonderful looking after my 3 month old puppy. She took lots of photos so I knew my little guy was having lots of fun! She clearly cares about our furry friends. Mounia was also very responsive and accommodating about scheduling daycare. Super appreciated !”

“Haley kept me updated the entire time! She sent so many pictures of Moose which I greatly appreciated. He seemed to have so much fun & was so tired and worn out when I picked him up. Thank you Haley & Alec!!!”

About: Howdy! I've been on rover for a few years now. I briefly stopped in 2023 and then in 2024 I moved down to SD. Now that my pooch and I are settled in we are ready to dog sit again! Throughout my time with Rover I developed a number of regular folks that trusted their dogs with me and my pooch. I have one dog, Butler. He's 8 and is a loving and patient dalmatian. And as you can see in the photos uploaded he definitely enjoys the dog company 🐾 See below for my work schedule :) I work in the office two days a week and work from home the other 3. On the work days in the office I am gone the whole time so I ask that your pooch is well acclimated to being able to be left alone for that extended period of time I live in an apartment right now that has plenty of parks around it so to make sure the dogs get exercise we can either go on long walks at least twice a day or go to the nearby parks

About: Dogs give us "2 paws up" for our slumber parties. :) Dogs are my cause. I've been nurturing and protecting them for 14 years. I've also learned from them and been protected by them ... because dogs are the best species on earth. I have a soft spot for senior, special-needs, and shy dogs. I’m a fiercely protective dog mom and dog Aunty whose beloved boy Django just passed away at 15. He was my heart dog and soul dog. Still is. He was a senior, arthritic, deaf dog with other special needs and health challenges. I dedicated my life to exceeding his needs whether emotional, mental, spiritual or physical, and whether about diet, lifestyle or environment. I became an integrative wellness practitioner for dogs so that I would be educated and prepared as Django went through different life stages. Some of his successes include overcoming separation anxiety, handling hearing impairment with grace, managing arthritis well, stopping tremors, beating liver disease, having agency about his time to die, and staying connected even now. I’ve taken care of dogs for the past 14 years, starting with Django (adopted then), his pals, neighbors’ dogs, and other clients. In New York City, I had a referral-based doggie B&B where I became Auntie to dozens and dozens of dogs through the years who would look forward to their sleepovers and playtime with Django. It was like sleepaway camp, but in a loving home. I’m new to this app, but I’ve done dog-sitting since moving to California as well as other pet care and animal wellness services - energy healing, animal communication, nutrition guidance, detox education, stress management support, and a digital course on holistic health for dogs. I’m certified in Reiki for animals, integrative health coaching, and am working on pet loss grief support services. I've also produced loads of events from dog birthday parties to celebrations of life, and from art exhibits to rock concerts and cultural festivals. With animal wellness coaching and my digital course, I’ve helped dog parents get clear on dietary, lifestyle and environmental choices for their dogs to optimize wellbeing and manage stress. Happy to share wellness tips and dog food resource guides I've created for clients. I’m an animal advocate and plan to foster dogs in need through TAP, Frosted Faces, and/or other rescues while I also volunteer at SD Humane Society. My husband is retired from FDNY EMS, and his first responder emergency medicine background has proven critically important with a few dogs in our care over the years. It’s a privilege to be with and care for animals. We are downtown near Seaport Village, lovely parks, and the waterfront in a mini-oasis of a community with our own lovely patio and HOA security. We would love to connect, meet your dogs, and have an opportunity to take care of them in our home. I'm currently working from home with my small animal wellness business beyond dog-sitting, and freelancing in event planning, so I have plenty of time to take care of your precious dogs. My husband and I welcome dogs throughout the house, including on our bed. We also have comfortable dog beds. Our large outdoor patio is a bonus in downtown San Diego, and it is enclosed with an artificial grass area for dogs if they need the relief between walks. We'd provide at least three walks per day as well. I always let dogs determine the pace as many walk more slowly than I would if walking alone. I'm always paying attention when walking dogs - not staring at my phone. I'm present and protective of the pups in my care. Healthy, delicious dog treats are plentiful here, though we believe in keeping dogs at ideal weights for their health. We will follow your lead and instructions when it comes to your dogs. There will always be filtered water available for the pups. At our home, you'll often find relaxing music on, nice natural light, and lots of comfortable spots for dogs to make themselves at home both inside and on our Zen patio. We keep our home at a comfortable temperature for the pups with fresh air flowing in, and we have AC or heat when needed. Toys are plentiful, but we can remove them if you're concerned about antlers or if your dog might be a chewaholic. We have kongs and puzzle feeders, too. I always give dogs extra attention at first - even if that means giving them space - so that they can acclimate to the new environment. When my dog Django was alive, he'd mentor the newcomers and show them the ropes. With few exceptions, the dogs adjusted quickly and saw our place as home away from home. I'm good at reading dogs' body language and understanding them on many levels, which includes determining if two dogs might need space from each other. We're fortunate to live in a community that welcomes dogs of all sizes and breed mixes. If you have a dog who needs to be the solo dog staying with us, that can often be arranged. We always want to discuss the dogs' needs, behavior, temperament, routine, likes and dislikes beforehand so that we can do our best to ensure a good fit. We like to have clients complete a client survey and a medical emergency form just to be prepared in the event of such an emergency if clients were unreachable.

Zannah & Doug M.
“Since we met years ago, Zannah has been our dog walker and overall dog guru. Her professionalism is unparalleled (punctual, responsible, caring, and attentive) and her positive energy is magnetic to humans and dogs alike. Having Zannah in your corner is such a source of comfort - her knowledge of animal behavior is evident the moment you speak with her, and she is never short of spot-on and helpful recommendations. Zannah is the type of pet caregiver that you find and never let go of. She is the only person our dog is equally excited to see when she walks into the room.”

Andrew and Kris were so amazing! They were in constant communication and were very flexible with our availability. We used them three days in a row during our San Diego vacation. We will definitely be recommending them to our of our friends traveling with pups!

Della was great with our dogs (husky and 1 year old akita/husky/german shepard mix.) Our dog Philip is usually nervous with new people but Della made him feel really comfortable and he was super playful with her. Della sent pictures of the dogs and took them on a nice walk.

Mariah was a great dog sitter for our Cavalier named Maisie! She made sure to walk our pup around the neighborhood and spent some good play time at the near by dog park and took the cutest photos! She was quick to respond to my messages and made me feel safe about leaving my dog in her care for the evening. Thanks again!

Thank you Vivianne for watching Meelo! She was quick to respond, even though it was late at night and last minute. Really appreciate her patience with our 5 month old puppy, even though he was so shy at first. She provided regular updates and photos proving that he was calming down throughout his whole stay! Would definitely hit her up if we’re ever in town!
