“I have to admit that I am one of those people who are very particular with “my girls” and who takes care of them. Katy without a doubt is one of the most considerate & caring person to take care of anyone’s fur baby. She cared for them as I do. I had broke my ankle and she was right there to help with them no matter what that entailed with communication to boot every step of the way. She showed so much love to them which made my heart smile. I would trust her hands down with my fur babies to do what needs to be done. Katy is one of a million in my book!”

“Words can't express what a lifesaver Aaliyah was when she agreed to visit our 3 fur babies when we had to go out of town for a long day trip! One of our dogs is a senior with an old injury, and all three of them are energetic rescues with their individual quirks. I was nervous to leave them in the hands of someone we didn't have experience with, but I trusted the reviews left for her and I'm glad I did! She sent us thorough and timely communications even though we weren't able to respond right away. She sent a beautiful array of photos of my babies having fun with her. They looked so happy, which tells me she was kind and patient with them. She definitely went beyond just letting them out to go potty and locking up - and going above the minimum is not something many people do these days. I hope she doesn't stop sitting anytime soon because we may actually be able to visit my parents at the NC/SC border more often now lol! I know my babies would be excited to see Aaliyah again and that alone is worth every penny. ❤️”

“We’re so thankful for the love and care Rosa gave our pups while we were away! It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in great hands. Thank you for treating them like your own we’d absolutely book you with them again in a heartbeat!”

“Lana was so great dropping in to take care of our 3 dogs while we were out of town. It made being away that much easier knowing the dogs were well taken care of!”
About: Young, old, big, small, I love them all! I’m new to Rover, but I've owned lots of dogs throughout my life, and I've been trusted to care for other owners' fur babies for over 10 years. I strive to make sure that both you and your dog are comfortable while they're in my care in the Cornelius and Huntersville area. I have experience with anxiety, reactivity, and other various temperaments in dogs of all sizes and ages. As someone who has an anxious dog, I can empathize and understand the level of support that each individual dog needs. If you have training that you're working on or they require a certain routine, I can accommodate those needs to the best of my ability as well. I also send updates during the booking to set your mind at ease and keep you in the know. ***Please be aware that indoor playtime with an outdoor potty break may be substituted for dog walking depending on outdoor temperatures to protect paw pads from the heat or ice. Think I'd be a good fit? Let's set up a meet and greet! This will give us a chance to go over any specific details or preferences for the booking, while also ensuring that you and your dog are comfortable. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family member! I currently work full time during the day, but my evenings and weekends are pretty flexible! I'm located in the Cornelius and Huntersville area of Lake Norman. My approach to caring for your dog in your home is all about routine and patience. If they have a treat they love, a crate they have to sleep in, or any specific need or preference, let's go over the details at the meet and greet!

“My husband and I had plans for some of our friends to stop in and check in on our girl after the holidays but with the giant southwest flight cancellations they were no longer able to make it & then our flights also got canceled. We were panicked. So thankful for Stephanie and her last minute stopping in for our girl. I highly recommend her for any of your fur baby needs. Our house is always a disaster when she shows up (got married, holidays, life lol) but she is always so kind and asks so many questions!”

About: I’ve had many pet-sitting jobs and personal experience with my own pets. I owned a dog for 12 years and I’ve owned cats all my life. I have cared for both dogs and cats with health issues requiring medication and even IV drips. I’m very versatile! I’m working an internship at the moment that is 20 hours a week, so I will have to work around that schedule as it is fixed weekly! Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays I have off, but we can always discuss any other weekdays to see if I can fit pet care around my meetings! I don’t have space to care for someone’s pet at my own home, but I am very caring and respectful of any person’s home that I enter to care for their pets. I always leave everything better than I left it! Rest assured you won’t come home to any messes left by animal OR human!

“Fritz absolutely adores Jennifer. With a new puppy, scheduling and care can be a bit hectic, but Jennifer was a huge help during our first few months with little Fritz. She helped us build a regular routine for Fritz and her drop-in visits were essential to making our lives easier. She is incredibly responsive, flexible and most importantly - she is one of Fritz's favorites now. Can't recommend her enough!”

About: Hello! I have been certified in animal heath care from Saddleback College in Orange County, CA. I worked as a vet assistant an animal clinic in my early 20's. I have also been a previous dog walker on Rover but wasn't able to reactivate my account with my old reviews. On weekends I volunteer with SAR K9 search and rescue. I have two goofy dogs myself that I adore and my full time career is one that would give you peace of mind that I am trustworthy as a person and professional. (Inquire if you want to know more!) I've been happily married for 15 years and have a 11 year old daughter. I've called Lake Norman my home for the last 10+ years! I have a very flexible schedule after I drop my daughter off at school in the morning (after 9:00am.) Much of my work is remote so this will fit into my schedule easily! I am comfortable caring for your dog according to your preferences! You let me know what they're like and what they do best with and I'll accomodate!

About: Hi! I'm a dependable animal lover with a very flexible schedule and a soft spot for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I know leaving your pet with someone new can be stressful, so I do my best to make the experience easy for both you and your pup. Expect lots of love, attention, photo updates, and a sitter who will care for your pet like family. I can't wait to meet your furry best friend! My schedule is very flexible, which allows me to be available for a variety of pet care needs throughout the week. I love spending time with animals and am happy to work with your pet's routine to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you're away. I understand that pets feel most comfortable in their familiar environment, so I focus on maintaining their normal routine while you're away. I'll carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, exercise needs, and any special requests. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind through regular updates and photos.
“Awesome communication and the photos she sent were the highlight of our trip! She really got to know our pets and their routines. She did great walks with our doggy too! If she’s available, book her immediately, you (and your pets) will be super happy!”

About: Growing up with two dogs, and always playing with friends' and neighbors' pets, I have always loved spending time with animals! I’ve been dog and cat-sitting for the past 5+ years. I will provide as much exercise as needed, play with, feed, and bathe pets. I would love to continue meeting and taking care of new pets through Rover! I am currently a student at UW-Madison but I will work around this schedule in order to have plenty of time during the day to look after your pets! I am also available on weekends and my schedule is pretty flexible depending on your needs, and I will always make sure that your pet is my number 1 priority during the time they are in my care! I will adjust how I care for your pets based on their needs and preferences! I love to snuggle with pets, but I know some want to play, which I will also attend to. No matter what your pet is like, I will do my best to treat them in a way that will make them happy and feel loved.
“Annabelle was so fantastic!!! I’m an anxious cat mom who very very rarely leaves her boy at home and Annabelle put me at such ease. She sent tons of pictures and actually spent time playing with my crazy orange guy (who definitely needs the play time). She truly treated Finn like he was one of her own pets and was attentive with things I didn’t even expect a rover to do. When we got home, we saw that she left a postcard with pictures of Finn from the visit. My heart!!!! Annabelle was communicative, attentive, and overall just so caring with Finn and I would recommend her to any cat parent who wants to make sure their baby is well taken care of. 100/5 stars!”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover who has experience with dogs of every stripe! From the gentle giant St. Bernard to the spunky rescue Chihuahua, I've had experience caring for (and loving) dogs of every size, age, & breed. After growing up surrounded by cats & dogs, I adopted my own senior rescue pup, Missy Elliot, about 10 years ago. Missy crossed the rainbow bridge back in April but she created a soft spot in my heart for Senior dogs and I would love nothing more than to spend some time taking your senior on leisurely walks with plenty of time to sniff. At the same time, I would also love taking a younger pup to the park & working with them on how to sit! I am currently between positions and so, starting mid-July, my calendar is wide open. I have a few scattered trips in late August, but otherwise I am free. As the mom of a pup myself, I am very attuned to the specific needs of each dog or cat. I do my best to integrate myself into the pet's best schedule and I stay in consistent communication with you to check in. Plus, I try to send at least two pictures/updates a day so you can be sure your fur baby is in good hands!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 6 years old. I currently have 2 dogs, Odis (2yo) and Nala (5yo). The absolute loves of my life! With Nala being epileptic, I’m always aware vigilant. I also have a 4 year old manecoon, who loves some playtime and a good nap afterwards lol I work from home every Friday and I’m available on weekdays for anyone’s last minute getaways! If any extra days are needed, I’m more than happy to change around my schedule. I have a large front yard and back yard for dogs to run and play! Both very very friendly and always looking for another buddy to play fetch with. I will always make time for your dog to run and play and get all the energy out.
About: I am a very detail-orientated person. Any pup I sit for I make sure to recognize theirs behaviors and needs and adjust my typical routine for them. This ensures they’re comfortable with me and have a great experience while their family is away! I am a student, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I like to dogsit between classes or on weekends. Since I can’t have dogs at my apartment here at school being able to take care of yours is amazing. Any time I can spend with dogs serves as a tremendous street relief for me as well! When I care for pets I aim to keep everything as normal and possible and stick to their already established schedule. This allows the dog to feel more comfortable considering the family is gone. I am open to walks, play time or anything else that your dog enjoys!
“Gabby was a wonderful cat sitter who was timely, flexible and always sent pictures with thorough updates. It was clear the kitties felt very comfortable with her! I will definitely be using Gabby again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cornelius
We had complicated instructions for our doggies, including medication, and Makenna did everything perfectly. She was always right on time, and our dogs loved her. We hope to use her again! We loved the pictures she sent and the descriptions of what they were doing and how they were behaving.

Lily took great care of my dog! She arrived on time, communicated well throughout the visit, and was very flexible and accommodating when I made a mistake with my booking. I really appreciated her understanding and felt comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. Overall, I was very happy with the experience and would definitely book with her again!
Renee did another amazing job with our dog Lilly. She can be a handful and Renee knows exactly how to care for her and was even able to give her eye drops which I didn’t think would be possible. She is so caring and loving. It warms my heart to see the love and attention she gives to Lilly while we are away.

A great experience! My dog has limited vision and required several different medications including insulin injections with meals so I was a little nervous about using a dog sitter. Joe and Christine took care of all of it beautifully with daily visits to my home as well as some play and walk time. What peace of mind I now have knowing I can leave my precious dog’s care to them! I will definitely use them again!

Skyler was absolutely wonderful! Her communication was phenomenal from start to finish, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. She took such incredible care of Cash and Presley—keeping them active, happy, and clearly so well loved. Her photos were awesome - I really enjoyed seeing our boys have so much fun. We’re so thankful to have found another trusted sitter for our boys and will absolutely be booking with Skyler again. Highly, highly recommend!

Marcia rescued us. We had a last minute need for a dog sitter and Marcia came through! Our pups really liked her. We received pics of our dogs with every visit along with an update on their behavior. We were really relieved to have our babes in such capable hands.

Brendan did two drop in visits for my two dogs and I have nothing but good things to say about our experience. He’s punctual, great communication, and follows all of my annoying instructions. He does well with both my senior dog and my younger anxious dog, leaving us with happy pups when we get home. We are booking him again for our week long vacation in August.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
