About: I grew up in a house where there were always more paws than feet. From the time I was born through my years in high school, I was the designated caregiver for our family pets and the "go-to" sitter for neighbors and friends. Having owned and cared for both dogs and cats my entire life, I understand that pets aren't just animals—they’re family members with their own unique personalities and routines. What Sets Me Apart I am a Senior Software Engineer currently working remotely, which means I offer a level of reliability and structure that is hard to find. I’m a regular at the gym and love staying active, so if you have a high-energy dog that needs a long walk or a vigorous play session, I’m your guy. My Care Style Reliable Communication: I’m tech-savvy and organized; you’ll get regular updates, photos, and quick responses. Multi-Pet Expertise: I’m comfortable managing households with multiple animals (including cats!). Active & Attentive: Whether it’s a focused walk or just some quality couch time for a senior pet, I adapt to what your pet needs most. I’m currently between projects and have plenty of availability to provide your pets with the attention they deserve. I look forward to meeting your furry friends! If you want to see more of how I take care of my own personal dogs, they have their own Instagram called Pinero_Pups, take a look! I am a tech professional currently in a career transition, which means I have an incredibly flexible schedule and am home for the majority of the day. Unlike a standard 9-to-5 sitter, I am available to provide constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and mid-day play sessions. Whether it's a weekday or a weekend, your pet will be my primary focus, and I can easily adapt to their specific feeding and exercise routines. Having cared for dogs and cats my entire life, safety is my top priority. My home environment is pet-friendly and well-organized, and I am experienced in managing multi-pet households (including both dogs and cats). I am a firm believer in clear communication; you’ll receive consistent photo updates and check-ins so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. In my care, your pet will have: A Secure Environment: I am diligent about door safety and leash security during walks. Active Supervision: I’m a regular at the gym and love staying active, so I have the energy to keep up with high-energy breeds. Personalized Attention: I respect each pet's boundaries—whether they need a vigorous game of fetch or a quiet corner to nap in.

About: My family jokes that I was raised by animals. 🤣 I have had pets since I was born, and considered them my best friends. I have had jobs in dog grooming, some experience in training, volunteered at my local SPCA, currently an active volunteer for Angels To The Animals & even became a full time artist selling commissioned pet portraits! Everything about furry animals & waggy tails brings me immense joy and happiness. Animals calm my soul. Today, I have 3 of the most spoiled doggo’s out there. I narrate their thoughts, talk to them like they’re babies, and they are even insta-famous! They have their own bedroom, closet, dresser, mountains of toys, and an abundance of clothes/accessories. I truly do work hard so my dogs can have a better life. I have experience in housecleaning so I regularly entered people’s homes. Rest assured, I’ll leave your house the way I found it (maybe better if I see an animal mess that needs tending to). I’ll treat your home like my own. I have responsibilities Tuesday- Friday from noon- 1:00 however I’m available before or after. Ideally, I am looking for regular clients that consistently need someone to hang out with their fur babies. I would meet you and your fur baby, and get a lay of the land. If you need me to feed them, water them, give treats, I would just need to know where to access them. For cats, if you need me to clean the litter box, I would just need to know where the bags, & scooper are. Also where you’d like the waste disposed.

About: I have cared for dogs since I was about 12 years old. My entire family has been dog lovers since before I can even remember. I began caring for dogs as a hobby and eventually began to receive payment for it as people started to recommend me to their friends and family. I treat all animals with the love and respect they deserve, especially dogs. They are the sweetest, most loving features there are. Caring for your pet, makes him a part of my family. I will always put your pet first. Whoever said diamonds are a girls best friend, must have never had a dog because no one can understand you more than your pet who you have grown to love and adore.

About: As a dog trainer, daycare provider, and dog mom myself, I know every dog is different and deserves care tailored to their individual personality, comfort level, and needs. Whether your dog loves to play all day, prefers a calm environment, needs extra structure, or simply wants a cozy place to relax, my goal is always to create a safe, enriching, and low-stress experience. I focus heavily on: • structured play & socialization • engagement & enrichment • clear communication • safe dog handling • individualized care Your dog deserves more than just a place to stay. They deserve to feel understood, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away 🫶 Dog care is my full-time career. As a professional dog trainer and daycare provider, my daily routine revolves around the dogs in my care. Each day includes supervised play, enrichment activities, potty breaks, structured rest periods, feeding routines, and individual attention based on each dog's needs. Because I work from home with dogs, guests are rarely left alone and are actively monitored throughout the day. Whether your dog enjoys adventure, social time, training games, or simply relaxing in a comfortable environment, I strive to provide a safe and enriching experience from drop-off to pick-up. Safety is my top priority. I am a professional dog trainer with experience managing dogs of different ages, temperaments, and play styles. All dogs are carefully introduced, supervised, and matched appropriately. I use crates, gates, leashes, and rotations when needed to create a safe and low-stress environment for everyone. My home includes dedicated dog spaces for play, enrichment, rest, and safe separation when appropriate. Dogs are never expected to "work it out" on their own and are actively supervised during interactions. Cleanliness is also a major priority. Dog areas are routinely cleaned and disinfected using pet-safe products, and I maintain strict sanitation practices between guests. I take time to learn each dog's personality, preferences, and comfort level so I can provide individualized care rather than a one-size-fits-all experience.

About: Hello! I'm a stay-at-home mom with two dogs and one cat. In addition to taking care of my own pets, I have fostered numerous dogs of all sizes and ages. My specialty is medium to large, active dogs who need exercise. I enjoy running and hiking, so if you have a dog who needs outdoor time, please contact me! I also have experience with sick animals who need special care. I have nursed several dogs back to health, including fosters and the strays who find me. I'm available to visit your home for your pet's needs, to feed, walk, administer medication, as well as provide transportation to vet appointments. Our house has extra rooms to board and babysit pets. There is plenty of space in our yard and neighborhood for walks, running, and playtime. I'm excited to meet you and your pet to see how I can be there for you! I'm a stay-at-home mom to three older/independent kids and a baby. I am looking forward to getting out of the house to walk your dogs, provide drop-in care, and/or dogsitting and boarding at my home. I have worked with rescue dogs with violent backgrounds or stress from the shelter. I can read their body language and make sure they are comfortable with me and our environment. Your dog will stay on a leash unless we are in a fenced area. My backyard is fenced in, and I have a finished basement with kennels if your dog needs a quiet place. My two dogs are very friendly, so if your dog is interested in playing, they will be introduced. My dogs are up-to-date on their vaccines.

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience and genuine love for dogs of all ages and personalities. I've been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old, giving me years of hands-on experience with everything from energetic puppies to gentle senior dogs. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I take the time to provide personalized care, patience, and attention to make them feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I work three days a week in healthcare, and on my days off, I dedicate my time to providing exceptional care for pets. This schedule allows me to give pets the attention, exercise, companionship, and personalized care they deserve rather than rushing through visits. I follow each pet's regular schedule for feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and bedtime to help them feel comfortable and secure.

About: 💖 Affordable, Loving Pet Care You Can Trust 💖 • If you’re looking for cheaper rates or need a discount, please don’t hesitate to ask! I’m always happy to work with your budget whenever I can. • Hi! My name is Lindsay, and I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since 2017. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than making sure they’re happy, safe, and loved while their owners are away. Whether you’re going on vacation, working long hours, or just need an extra hand, I’d love to help! Over the years, I’ve provided pet sitting, dog walking, overnight stays, boarding, and drop-in visits for family, friends, neighbors, and clients. I’ve cared for pets of all ages, breeds, sizes, and personalities—from tiny kittens and playful puppies to large dogs and senior pets who need a little extra patience, gentleness, and specialized care. I’m comfortable with: 🐾 Dog walking and exercise 🐾 Overnight pet and house sitting 🐾 Drop-in visits 🐾 Boarding (when available) 🐾 Feeding schedules and fresh water 🐾 Basic medication administration (oral medications, supplements, etc.) 🐾 Litter box cleaning and accident cleanup 🐾 Playtime, enrichment, and lots of affection 🐾 Keeping up with routines to reduce stress and anxiety 🐾 Caring for multiple pets in the same household I know every pet is different, so I always take the time to learn their routine, personality, favorite activities, and any special instructions you have. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible by keeping life as normal as I can while you’re away. One thing many owners appreciate is that I send regular updates with photos and messages so you always know how your pets are doing. I know how hard it can be to leave them behind, so I want you to have complete peace of mind knowing they’re being cared for like they’re part of my own family. For overnight stays or longer visits, my fiancé, Bradley, may occasionally accompany me if you’re comfortable with it. He’s wonderful with animals, loves spending time with them, and simply enjoys keeping me company. However, your comfort always comes first—if you would prefer that I come alone, that is absolutely no problem at all, and I completely respect whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Above all, I pride myself on being dependable, trustworthy, respectful of your home, and genuinely passionate about caring for animals. My goal is to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners so you always have someone you can count on whenever you need reliable care. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family members. Feel free to reach out with any questions—I can’t wait to meet your pets! 🐶🐱❤️ I currently work a flexible part-time schedule, typically only 4 hours per day (either 9 AM–1 PM or 1 PM–5 PM), which allows me to dedicate the majority of my time to pet care. I am available on weekends and am often off several days throughout the week as well. Because of my flexible schedule, I can provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, drop-in visits, overnight care, and plenty of one-on-one attention. Pet care is a major priority for me, and I make every effort to accommodate each pet’s routine and needs. Whether your pet needs daytime companionship, overnight care, or regular check-ins throughout the day, I have the flexibility and availability to provide dependable, attentive care. I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. For dogs, this includes regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, exercise, feeding according to their schedule, fresh water at all times, and plenty of affection and companionship. For cats, I ensure feeding schedules are maintained, litter boxes are kept clean, and they receive the attention, playtime, or quiet companionship they prefer. I am comfortable administering basic medications as directed by owners and carefully monitoring pets for any changes in behavior, appetite, or overall well-being. I also help maintain a clean environment by cleaning up accidents, washing food and water bowls, scooping litter boxes, and keeping pet areas tidy. If caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the utmost respect. I can bring in mail or packages, water plants, follow household routines, and help keep your home secure while you’re away. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Sherrills Ford with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
