“Nicole was very welcoming and made our first experience with Rover a breeze. She would reach out with updates frequently. You could tell she really cared for our dogs by showing initiative and asking questions. We would definitely love to have Nicole watch our dogs again.”

“Natalie is great!!! She consistently sent pictures and updates of my dog and it looked like my dog was having the best time. It really seemed like Natalie was caring for my dog like she would one of hers :) Highly recommend! I can’t imagine leaving my dog with anyone else.”

“Jessica took great care of our two dogs while we were out of town for about 6 days. It's so hard leaving them, but we felt comfort knowing they were in good hands, and we received frequent updates and pictures that made us feel even better!”

“Donna was quick to respond to my inquiry and schedule a meet & greet prior to booking. She was accomodating to the extended times I needed, seemed knowledgeable with dogs, sent me updates while my puppy was in her care, and I picked up a happy puppy when I got back! I will book with her again!”

“Mindy was very helpful by coming to visit Scooter ahead of time, a couple weeks before he went to stay with her. They made a connection right away, as she seems to have a way with dogs. She sent pictures of Scooter while he stayed with her, which was reassuring. And she offered to bring him back to our house after we returned home, which was very helpful.”

“I hate to be honest here. For fear that Kate and Ken will not be available when we need them in the future. They were so attentive to Tripp. Their dogs and our dog played so much. I received pictures and videos daily showing the smile on his face. We don’t have a yard as big as theirs. Or other dogs for him to play with. So this was a real treat for him. They understand our dog’s communication style. Let him be a dog. Play like a puppy. But also balanced it with the guidance and directions he is used to. Both Ken and Kelly were exactly what we hoped for when we signed up for care. We drove 40 minutes to drop him off and pick him up. Both my husband and I believe it is worth it. Previously Tripp had been boarded at a kennel. I started using Rover in hopes that he would get more interaction with dogs and humans while we were gone. Boy! Did Ken and Kelly do that! Thank you for loving him like one of your family!”

About: I have training experience & trained my pup myself! We play, snuggle, walk, and continue to practice training every day! I love teaching my pup new tricks, and can do the same for yours! We are very happy & energetic in our home! My sweet Buster gets along with other animals very well! He's a sweetie! I make sure to do mentally stimulating activities and challenges for Buster! They're so good for dogs! I make them fun and rewarding! I can do that for your baby too! I work full-time. And when I come home, my attention is on my pup- getting his energy out and having fun! If your request is for house sitting, I would need to bring my dog along with me. I'm home all evenings and all weekends. On the weekend, especially, I'll be available to do all the caring for your sweet babe!! The #1 thing is I don't give my dog people food. If I do, he only gets safe fruits & veggies and cheese. I don't have anything a dog could choke on or really swallow. I put Buster in a kennel when I'm gone, but I could leave your dog out if they don't do kennels. Please ask me questions if you have any!
“Kaila and her pup were so awesome. She was so accommodating finding a time for a meet and greet during the holidays, and again when our pick up plans changed. She sent lots of photos and videos of my dog living her best life for the weekend. Georgia had a great time and came home exhausted from playing so hard. We will absolutely book Kaila again!”

“Elizabeth took great care of our girl for 5 days at the last minute when our usual sitter had to back out due to an emergency. She gave a lot of updates and would definitely recommend her!”

“Julie was wonderful, she accommodated me for a last minute booking and the boys had a great time with her. She had never administered an insulin shot before but was comfortable learning how to and was great about communicating. Would definitely book again, thank you so much!”

“Lisa is the best..I was nervous at first leaving my four legged child behind while I took a business trip but Lisa alleviated all my concerns and extremely communicative..Fozzie absolutely loved playing with her fur babies Eva and Ozzie..highly recommend her.”

“Megan was great! She dropped Lola off with this little cute ? on her collar and also left a totally unexpected report with Lola’s activities, meal etc during her Stay in her bag. EXCELLENT! Highly recommended!”

About: Growing up on a 2,500-acre farm, I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals—but dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I’ve never known life without one! I was raised with Golden Retrievers, Labradors, English Bulldogs, Yorkies, and Weimaraners and have experience caring for many other breeds, including German Shepherds, Great Pyrenees, Yorkies, Corgis, Great Danes, and Border Collies. As a certified dog trainer, I understand that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs. I treat every dog in my care like one of my own, providing plenty of love, attention, structure, playtime, and individualized care. Your dog’s comfort, happiness, and safety will always be my top priorities. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming your dog into my home as part of the family! I’m self-employed and work from home full-time, which allows me to be present with the dogs throughout the day. I’m available to provide frequent potty breaks, supervised playtime, enrichment, and plenty of individual attention. Because my schedule is flexible, I can also follow your dog’s normal feeding, medication, exercise, and rest routine as closely as possible. Safety, structure, and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor play and a climate-controlled indoor dog space with heating, air conditioning, and padded flooring for hot, cold, or rainy days. Dogs are carefully introduced, monitored during play, fed separately, and given scheduled breaks to prevent overstimulation. Overnight, each visiting dog sleeps safely in their own crate. I always follow the owner’s instructions and tailor care to each dog’s individual personality and needs. I am also certified by the American Red Cross in Pet First Aid & CPR.

“Really loved how well they took care of my pup! She seemed super happy when she got back. I was pleased with the pictures they show and they show you the facilities. I felt totally comfortable leaving my old girl with them.”

Gabriella was the best dog sitter I could have asked for. I was nervous to leave my Goobert with a new person after I was already gone for 2 weeks prior, but she made Goobert feel so comfortable from the first meeting. She also continued to give me updates along with photos every day. I am highly satisfied with the care Gabriella provided for my baby.

Brock and Rashelle provided exceptional care for my beloved fur baby. Their kindness and affection truly shone through, making my pet feel right at home. He had a wonderful time playing with their pup, and I appreciated the daily walks and outdoor playtime they ensured he had. I also loved receiving regular updates and photos, which brought me peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend their services!

Alexis took very good care of my cat for a week! I was never apprehensive while on my trip because I knew Kiki was in good hands. Alexis sent photos and updates often which I greatly appreciated, and she was quick to respond if I messaged her. She knows what she’s doing and I absolutely recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
