“Jessica was very flexible and easy to work with, I initially spoke to her well over a month before my vacation to Hawaii and had some bank issues allowing to confirm the payment just the night before, she had zero issues with that. The entire time we received notifications and pictures of our fur babies and their activities. I would highly recommend her for your pet needs. I personally can not thank you enough for your kindness and understanding”
“Our 8 month old puppy Ollie stayed with Morgan while we were out of town for 5 days. It was Ollie's first time boarding somewhere and we could not have chosen anyone better! Morgan sent us multiple photos while we were gone and asked us questions when needed. Her little dog Finn was the cutest and is super easy going and friendly. We were so glad we chose Morgan and Finn, and will definitely choose them again if we need to board Ollie in the future.”

“Donna was very helpful with my last minute request. She had time to invite me over so Kushito can meet her pack before the stay. She kept me updated with videos and pictures of him! She has an amazing outdoor space. He was very happy when I picked him up and I could tell he had a lot of fun during his stay!”

About: I have training experience & trained my pup myself! We play, snuggle, walk, and continue to practice training every day! I love teaching my pup new tricks, and can do the same for yours! We are very happy & energetic in our home! My sweet Buster gets along with other animals very well! He's a sweetie! I make sure to do mentally stimulating activities and challenges for Buster! They're so good for dogs! I make them fun and rewarding! I can do that for your baby too! I work full-time. And when I come home, my attention is on my pup- getting his energy out and having fun! If your request is for house sitting, I would need to bring my dog along with me. I'm home all evenings and all weekends. On the weekend, especially, I'll be available to do all the caring for your sweet babe!! The #1 thing is I don't give my dog people food. If I do, he only gets safe fruits & veggies and cheese. I don't have anything a dog could choke on or really swallow. I put Buster in a kennel when I'm gone, but I could leave your dog out if they don't do kennels. Please ask me questions if you have any!
“Where do I begin with this 5-star review of Kelly C??? This was Champ's 3rd visit with Kelly and her husband and we already knew our pup was in the best of hands! We felt very secure in leaving him with Kelly and her pack for a longer stay as we were traveling overseas. Well, thankfully he was in such trusted hands, because a few days into our trip, Champ, a German shepherd, developed bloat (GDV) which is life threatening and requiring emergency surgery. Sadly, this is all too common in larger breeds like Shepherds. Thanks to Kelly's and her husband's quick action (and with constant communication with us in a different time zone), Champ arrived at the emergency clinic in time, was immediately rushed into surgery, and the amazing specialists at University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center in Columbia treated him successfully. Post surgery, Kelly and her husband took wonderful care of him in his recovery until we could return from our trip to a happy and healthy dog. Needless to say, we are incredibly thankful to have found Kelly and her family and can't say enough about how grateful we are to them! If we could give more than 5 stars, they would be difficult to count!”

About: I’ve taken care of friends dogs, family members dogs, and even volunteered at an animal shelter and was taking care of different animals there. I am currently employed at equine medical where I take care of horses. I myself have 2 cats and a dog that I love so much. I am currently employed and a student at Stephens College. I will not be available till after 5. Weekends are available though! I would prioritize your pets like i do mine. I take my dog on multiple walks a day and he would love another friend to walk with him, or even play with him at my house or your house/ apartment.
“we are so thankful to Kaila for agreeing to watch our pups at the last minute, and on a holiday too! She took great care of them, sent pictures and updates, and was very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything!”
“I loved that she sent pictures and videos. Skylar has some separation anxiety but warms up after a couple days. This wasn't a long trip for us so she was warming up on the last day!!”

“Mindy was very helpful by coming to visit Scooter ahead of time, a couple weeks before he went to stay with her. They made a connection right away, as she seems to have a way with dogs. She sent pictures of Scooter while he stayed with her, which was reassuring. And she offered to bring him back to our house after we returned home, which was very helpful.”

About: Hi there! My name is Sofia and I am a medical student at Mizzou Med and would LOVE to walk your dog! I have been caring for my dog for 11 years and before that I watched friends’ dogs for long periods of time. If you couldn’t tell, I absolutely LOVE all dogs. Dogs hold a very special place in my heart, and I am an extremely trustworthy person to leave your 4-legged family member with! I understand the importance of finding a walker/ sitter you can trust as I do not trust just anyone to take care of my own pup, and I will do an excellent job of keeping your baby safe and happy. I would be so happy to walk, feed, and play with your dog! I will adjust my schedule to whatever your pet requires! I am very enthusiastic about taking care of dogs, so your pup will be my number 1 priority. The main thing I care about is NEVER leaving your dog unattended!! I am super responsible and I would never want anything to happen to your dog under my watch. I am also very energetic and love playing with dogs, so your dog will never be bored.
“Lisa and her husband took care of our little girl for about 10 days. It’s always nerve racking leaving your baby with new people for that long. They were amazing!!! They would send pics/videos and text updates often but not too much. Dolce was well cared for and would absolutely use them again.”

“Megan was amazing with our Luna for the two days she stayed with her. Plenty of pictures were sent with updates and Luna was seemingly out of energy from a great weekend! She even came back with a cute bow in her hair. We will definitely be using her in the future.”

About: I have been dog sitting since I was 13! My experience includes senior dogs, medical-needs dogs, puppies, and everything in between. Both, growing up with dogs and pet sitting, has given me years to understand mannerisms, how to train animals, and most importantly, how to make sure they feel loved. I work fully remote therefore I have the ability to work anywhere & schedule check-ins and walks around my work schedule. Currently I am taking my dog on a walk in the morning and after dinner. I would be more comfortable boarding the dog in my home, but willing to discuss staying away if it is what is best for your pet! I have 1 dog. He is 30lbs and has never met a dog he doesn’t like!
“Julie was wonderful, she accommodated me for a last minute booking and the boys had a great time with her. She had never administered an insulin shot before but was comfortable learning how to and was great about communicating. Would definitely book again, thank you so much!”

“She does really good with my dog overall the sitter I’ve had since starting Rover. Dog ought my dog always comes back clean and very excited. She’s a very loving and caring Caregiver would definitely recommend.”

Dani was amazing! I boarded my two cats for almost two weeks which was the first time I have ever been away from them and I was nervous. She made sure my cats felt comfortable to be in a new environment and loved. I received frequent updates with pictures of my boys and made me feel at ease for boarding my boys.

Amanda took wonderful care of my two dogs during their overnight stay. She was attentive, reliable, and clearly very comfortable around animals. I felt at ease knowing they were in such good hands, and it was clear they were well looked after and happy when I returned. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable sitter.

Gabriella was the best dog sitter I could have asked for. I was nervous to leave my Goobert with a new person after I was already gone for 2 weeks prior, but she made Goobert feel so comfortable from the first meeting. She also continued to give me updates along with photos every day. I am highly satisfied with the care Gabriella provided for my baby.

Brock and Rashelle provided exceptional care for my beloved fur baby. Their kindness and affection truly shone through, making my pet feel right at home. He had a wonderful time playing with their pup, and I appreciated the daily walks and outdoor playtime they ensured he had. I also loved receiving regular updates and photos, which brought me peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend their services!

Alexis took very good care of my cat for a week! I was never apprehensive while on my trip because I knew Kiki was in good hands. Alexis sent photos and updates often which I greatly appreciated, and she was quick to respond if I messaged her. She knows what she’s doing and I absolutely recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
