WFH Dog Lover with 3 Goldens! 🐕

Hi there! I’m Steph— a 30-something animal lover with a calm home, large fenced backyard, and a dream of starting my own animal rescue. I’ve cared for dogs my entire life and understand the unique needs of different breeds, temperaments, and ages. From giving daily supplements and maintaining feeding routines to providing enrichment and exercise, I treat every pup like family. I also have experience caring for senior dogs with special dietary needs and administering oral medications.

When my dogs are just as happy at Stephanies as they are at home, I know I've found a truly 5-Star sitter and I plan to use her every time we travel. I received loads of photos (seriously fun to see) and videos which showed my two much loved dogs, Shadow and Kimba, were equally loved at Stephanie's. I was able to see them being cuddled and loving it. I received daily updates on how they were doing and what they were doing. In short, I found the perfect place for my pets. Five stars aren't enough. You will never regret leaving your loved ones in a home full of love and expert care.

Lumi always has a blast. Stephanie takes great care, and provides a fun, social environment for the dogs. This is our third time using this sitter and will be my first choice in the future.

We could not ask for better dog sitters for our sweet Oliver! While we’re on vacation, we receive so many pictures and videos, along with detailed updates, which gives us so much peace of mind while we’re away. It’s so clear how much they love Ollie and treat him like one of their own. All of the dogs get along so well, and Ollie and Auggie especially have the sweetest bond - they’re truly two peas in a pod! We are so thankful to have found such wonderful sitters and know Ollie is always in the best hands with them! 🥰

Stephanie took incredibly good care of our dog. He was kept very busy during his stay and had a ton of fun playing with the other dogs. Stephanie handled a couple little adjustment issues at the outset like a pro and the stay went so well. Highly recommend!

Schedule

I’m self-employed and work remotely, so I’m home all day to give your pup plenty of attention. Whether it’s long morning pack walks (usually about 2 miles), afternoon fetch breaks, or evening play sessions in the yard, your dog will never feel alone or overlooked. I have an extremely flexible schedule and can accommodate most drop-off and pick-up times. Please note: walks are offered on a best-effort basis, and for safety reasons, I’m unable to walk dogs who pull excessively on leash or who are severely reactive. In those cases, I’ll make sure your pup still gets plenty of playtime, enrichment, and exercise in safe ways.

Safety, trust & environment

I use Rover myself, and I know how important it is to feel at ease when you drop your fur baby off. Please know that your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. We only have fur children, so our home is calm, pet-friendly, and fully equipped for supervised fun, with a large fenced backyard perfect for secure off-leash play. Dogs are closely monitored to ensure everyone’s getting along, and I require a meet-and-greet beforehand to ensure compatibility. Our two golden girls are incredibly sweet and well-socialized, making our home a welcoming environment for dogs of all ages and energy levels, and our 1-year-old puppy Auggie is a fluffy ball of energy and an ideal playmate for younger or higher-energy dogs. I typically send 2-3 photo updates per day unless requested otherwise (have had parents who prefer both more and less)! I also typically host up to two dogs at a time, and on rare occasions three. If your pup does best as the only guest dog, please share that ahead of time— I’ll do my best to accommodate when possible, but in some cases another sitter may be a better fit. For pups who need a little space or quiet time, we have a finished basement where they can relax or be safely separated. We also keep extra crates on hand if that’s where your dog feels most comfortable. All dogs are fed individually to avoid food guarding, and they’re welcome to sleep in their own crate or cozy up in one of our extra dog beds— whatever makes them feel most at home.

Pets

A typical day

My husband and I both work from home, so pups are showered with love throughout the day and rarely left alone. Our crew also gets daily walks and lots of outdoor playtime. We live close to a nature preserve and our yard backs up to a wooded area, so there are lots of exciting chase-ables to watch from our upstairs windows and through the fence (squirrels, birds, deer, and foxes).

Would love to know: -how well they get along with other dogs (we have 3) and if they have any history of aggression -if they’re allowed to have treats and/or have any allergies or dietary restrictions -if they typically sleep in their crate, on a dog bed, or in your bed with you (any of the three are fine; I do not require dogs to be crate trained!) -if they’re given monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
