About: Hey! I was lucky enough to have my beagle as my best friend for 14 wonderful years, so I know firsthand that dogs aren't "just pets"—they're family (and occasionally tiny, furry vacuum cleaners). I also have experience through Rover, even though this is a brand-new profile. My goal is simple: treat every dog like they're part of my own pack. I'll make sure they get plenty of love, belly rubs (if they're into that), and attention so you can relax knowing they're in good paws. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pup the attention they deserve. While I can't offer boarding because I have a roommate, I'm happy to provide reliable house sitting. Whether your dog loves long walks, endless games of fetch, or just wants someone to hang out with while you're away, I'm happy to help. I can administer oral medications (pills and tablets), make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise, and keep you updated with photos and messages while you're away. The only thing I don't offer is injectable medications. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. I'll follow your pet's routine as closely as possible. you can expect regular updates, photos, and honest communication throughout.
About: I have always had a household full of animals growing up and currently own two guinea pigs! I have pet-sat for multiple families in the past, caring for animals ranging from cats to hedgehogs and everything in-between. I have volunteered at my humane society back home since 2013 and assisted as a vet tech for a semester. Moving to Missouri for school, and leaving my three dogs from home, was tough so I am excited to care for and love your animals like my own! I am currently a full time student at the University of Missouri, as well as have a part-time job, but I am able to work around my schedule with an advanced notice! While I don’t typically board animals, I am able to care for them based on any special requests or routines within an owners own home!
“Dylan saved the day when my friend needed to cancel cat sitting due to a death in her family. Dylan is very personable and did a great job with communication. He even won over Pimms, who is very standoffish especially with men. Recommended and will definitely use him in the future”

“Martina was excellent! She took great care of my dog and cat, checked in diligently with pictures and details of each visit, and always responded promptly. Martina will be my first contact the next time my pets need care!”

Hailea did a great job with our kitties. One of our kitties loves attention and she was sure to offer it. The other was not as kind and Hailea respected his personal space. She sent photos of both kitties and shared their temperament during her visits. We don't go out of town often, but when we do, we will be requesting her again!

Taylor was amazing with my kitties. I really enjoyed her updates and pictures during her check-ins. She made sure they played, and stayed fed and watered while I was away. I had normal mom anxiety, but Taylor helped to ease any extra by being professional and easy to communicate with. The kitties looked happy to play during her visits. Would choose again. Thanks, Taylor!

Ellie was super kind and helpful! She was very quick to understand everything needed to take care of my cat tooni :) She sent many pictures/amazing updates and was very quick to respond so I never worried about anything. Tooni’s usually shy but she seemed to open up to her right away! She also helped me out with some additional things I asked about while I was away. She’s super cool, book herrr ☺️

Karly was great with my boys. Tiger even snuggled up and gave her a face love. Monty, who never came out of hiding for anyone came out of hiding and let Karly touch him. My sister returned with me and Monty even her let pet hm. Karly went me daily pictures and I really appreciated that - I knew from the pictures that they were ok.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Columbia. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
