About: I have experience taking care of dogs from all backgrounds. I have fostered dogs for most of my life. From puppies, adults, or seniors; and from the smallest chihuahuas to the biggest Great Danes, I care deeply about our furry friends. Weekday evening walks and check ins for busy cat and dog parents. I am available for check ins and walks Monday–Thursday after 5:00 PM. I provide safe, loving, and attentive care, following your pet’s routine and your instructions. I prioritize secure walks, supervision, and clear updates with photos after each visit.
“Dylan saved the day when my friend needed to cancel cat sitting due to a death in her family. Dylan is very personable and did a great job with communication. He even won over Pimms, who is very standoffish especially with men. Recommended and will definitely use him in the future”

About: I’ve had a dog my whole life which that alone has helped me gain a ton of experience. Other than that I’ve done dog walking and sitting for neighbors, friends and family. I live in Columbia Mo and am there most of the time on the weekends. During the week I am in Warrensburg at college. I am a student athlete and I have about 3 hours of class a day. I am flexible with times so send me a message! Pets would be treated with care and love in my home and clients home. I would Following client’s request and instructions closely. Your pets will get tons of attention from me.
About: I took a very active role in caring for my family dog until he tragically passed from cancer in 2019. I have also dog-sat for neighbors’ pets with particular dietary needs. Currently, I’ve been told by roommates that I have a very calming presence with our house dog. I work part time primarily in the evenings and when not working, I often have community theater rehearsals on weeknights. During the Mizzou school year I will have some classes during the day, though for no more than a few hours at a time. My current house is not available for pet boarding unless specifically negotiated. The property has a non-fenced yard and one resident dog, who does behave well with other animals. Neighborhood is safe, well-paved, and walkable.
About: I have worked in professional pet care for 4 years and have been watching neighbors dogs for the past 2 years. At doggy daycare I have worked with all sizes and ages of dogs and am comfortable with all of them. I am currently and student at The University of Missouri but am still able to come to your house to watch your pet. I can stay at your house during the week or weekend, my classes are during the middle of the day so they can go out plenty of times in the morning and night. I have three dogs at home that I am very used to taking care of as well as my cat. I can follow your pets schedule so there is no difference in your care and mine.
“Hailea was great! She communicated regularly about my kitties and sent great photos. When I got home, they seemed well taken care of and happy. I will be booking with Hailea again!”

“Lucas was such a wonderful find for our sweet pair of cats! My husband and I are helicopter parents about our babies who have very specific and different needs including our boy cat who needs to be medicated and is a very picky eater. Lucas sent us very frequent updates on the state of our cat's appetite and how things were going. In the past, we have come home to find our cat has either lost weight or has liquid medication smeared on his fur from medication difficulties. When we came home our boy cat looked the best he's ever looked after such a long stay with a house sitter. We can tell our cats felt very at home and comfortable with Lucas. The house looks great, very clean and exactly how we left it. All and all, among the best rover experiences we've had! Great communication, healthy happy pets, a clean home, what more could we ask for?”

About: Hi, I’m Haley! I’ve run my own full-time in-home doggy daycare for 2 years, caring for pups of all ages — including those with health, socialization, or mobility challenges. After a car accident, I learned petting dogs is actually helping me recover use of my right hand. My husband encouraged me to make my love for animals my job, and it’s been the best decision ever. I give each dog lots of direct attention, fun enrichment, and a mostly cage-free space (kennels only if needed for safety). Around here, every day is all about happy tails and feeling at home. *If your dog is not neutered and not potty trained they will be the standard “puppy” rate.* I have a built in doggy daycare in my home as you can see in the photos. There will only be up to 8 dogs on my property at one time. This is to assure access to feild trips to local farms for free range play. This is a boutique style care for your pup! I love dogs so much I made it apart of my home! Your pet will never be in a kennel over 2 hours at a time. If your pet has a social attitude and gets along well with others we can allow “free range play.” If your pet has a difficult time with another dog, I will create separation in the environment allowing equal love and play breaks with up to three activities daily. Balancing work and personal life, I find joy in building strong relationships with both pets and their owners. Regular updates and open communication provide peace of mind for pet parents, knowing their beloved companions are in caring hands. Understanding that each dog has unique needs, takes a personalized approach to care. Whether it’s preparing special meals, accommodating health concerns, or providing extra cuddles for anxious pups, I always go the extra mile. This commitment to individualized attention fosters trust and creates a home away from home for every dog.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
