“Abigail will be our #1 animal caregiver going forward. With less than a week until our wedding, Knight (our 9-month old mini goldendoodle) developed a mild case of kennel cough. Since boarding was no longer an option, we hopped on Rover and found Abigail. She came over to meet Knight and the cats, and went above and beyond our expectations. Knight had frequent visits, lots of play sessions, and tons of attention while he was at home. Abigail administered medicine, and we came home to a happy and healthy puppy (all courtesy of Abigail). We recommend Abigail unconditionally and trust her in our home with our fur babies anytime.”

About: I have training experience & trained my pup myself! We play, snuggle, walk, and continue to practice training every day! I love teaching my pup new tricks, and can do the same for yours! We are very happy & energetic in our home! My sweet Buster gets along with other animals very well! He's a sweetie! I make sure to do mentally stimulating activities and challenges for Buster! They're so good for dogs! I make them fun and rewarding! I can do that for your baby too! I work full-time. And when I come home, my attention is on my pup- getting his energy out and having fun! If your request is for house sitting, I would need to bring my dog along with me. I'm home all evenings and all weekends. On the weekend, especially, I'll be available to do all the caring for your sweet babe!! The #1 thing is I don't give my dog people food. If I do, he only gets safe fruits & veggies and cheese. I don't have anything a dog could choke on or really swallow. I put Buster in a kennel when I'm gone, but I could leave your dog out if they don't do kennels. Please ask me questions if you have any!
About: Hi! I’ve spent the last 5 years caring for my three Shiba Inus and two cats, so I know exactly how much love (and patience!) pets need. I’m used to all kinds of personalities — from energetic zoomies to shy cuddle bugs — and I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feedings, or snuggles, I’ll care for your furry friend just like my own. I’m a college student and work PRN at the hospital, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I’m usually available most weekdays after classes and on weekends for walks and drop-in visits. Spending time with dogs is honestly my favorite way to unwind after a busy day! I live in a pet-friendly apartment that’s great for walks and one-on-one time with your pup. I’m very careful about safety, always keeping leashes secure and following each dog’s normal routine. I have lots of experience with Shiba Inus and understand how to make any dog feel comfortable, calm, and cared for.
“We have been a returning clients for almost 5 years now, and this is the second 5-star review. Kaitlin has been wonderful with our doggos over the years, especially as we have an old lady getting older and got a young puppy who is high energy. We sadly are moving out of state and will miss Kaitlin, knowing that our pups are well taken care of when we travel. Thank you so much Kaitlin!!!”

About: I am a vet student. I have worked in vet clinics and emergency clinics for many years. I pet sat for people in high school and college. I took care of our cats, dogs, and chickens growing up. I currently also have a hamster. I am now in clinics, so I am normally at the hospital from 8am-5pm at the minimum. I would be able to walk dogs in the mornings before clinics and in the evenings afterwards. At my place, I only have a hamster who stays in his cage unless I get him out. My roommates have 4 cats and 1 dog between them and I enjoy spending time with their animals. At your place I will take care of your pets like they are my own! I will give them attention and love.
“Olivia did an excellent job on her drop in visits with Griffin filling in while his regular Rover person was out of town. And as an added bonus, she brought her dog along a few times for playtime!”

“Carissa is always so sweet and thoughtful when doing drop-ins with my cat! I can be a nervous cat mom, especially if I’m out of town or away, and she always makes sure to send plenty of updates and photos. My shy cat has warmed up to her well! I highly recommend her services.”

About: Ever since I was 10 I have been caring for neighbors dogs and pets, volunteering at shelters, and have had a passion for caring for animals. I own a 13-year-old black lab and walk him daily. So I am no stranger to being more patient and gentler to the older ones. I have also had experience with puppies and high energy dogs. Last summer, I walked a young golden retriever for 2 hours twice a day with no problem! I’m currently working part-time at two restaurants, so I am mostly scheduled weekdays and weekends from 4:30-9:00pm. Mornings is the best time for me! However, my schedule does change a lot, so send me a text and I can let you know if I am available or not! When meeting a pet that I’m unfamiliar with, I greet them gently and patiently. I welcome hyper pets that love the attention and the shy ones. I love them all the same!
About: I've been taking care of animals for the past 4 years. I have taken care of puppies, dogs, and elderly dogs. I treat every dog and animal as my own and absolutely love spending time with them. I am currently a full-time student at the University of Missouri. I am done with class by 3 on Monday and Wednesday, I am done with class by 11 on Tuesday and Thursday, and I am done with classes at 12 on Friday. I am ultimately pretty available and can be there whenever after those times. I have bi-weekly meetings for clubs later in the evenings, but they do not take up too much time, and I can be there before or after. I care for pets very well, and I absolutely love doing it. I have a dog of my own, and I treat him like I would a person. He is my best friend and my favorite being on this earth. I treat other dogs the same way, and I am very loving and attentive to all of their needs. I believe all dogs deserve unconditional love and care.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats, including my own dog and kitty, from the age of about 9! Always been one of those people that got along better with the animal in the room than the people, at times. I will make sure to take wonderful care of your sweet pup or kitty and make sure they are well taken care of and feeling loved. Since I do have kids around most of the time, they will also be sharing their love with your pets, and I promise they do love to shower dogs and cats with pets and attention. Hopefully we will be a good fit! I work in the school system, so my schedule works well to dog walk after school and board on the weekends. Also, my kids are with me half of the time, the other half I can fill my days full of walks and other pet care! I don’t currently have a dog at home, though I did for 7 years. I do have a fenced in yard, but no crate. And a shy outdoor kitty who will hide away when dogs are here. I will make sure pup feels loved and comfy in my home! Making sure they have plenty of outdoor time, pets, a comfy spot to sleep, and walks morning and evening. As mentioned, sometimes there are young kiddos around who would be thrilled to have a dog or two visiting. They have been raised around dogs, and their dad has a dog at his home currently! We love to play, pet, or give space for a pup to relax if needed.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets. I’ve been taking care of my family’s and neighbors’ pets since I was 15, including feeding, walking, playing, and making sure they feel safe and loved while their owners are away. I currently own a cat, so I understand the importance of patience, routine, and respecting each pet’s individual personality. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or shy and relaxed, I take the time to meet their needs and make them comfortable. I treat every pet like they’re my own and prioritize safety, communication, and reliability. I’d love the chance to help care for your furry family member! I’m available for evening care on weekdays and have open availability on weekends. I’m able to check in on pets multiple times throughout the day, depending on their needs. I’m flexible, reliable, and happy to work with your pet’s routine to make sure they’re well cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I believe owners know their pets best, so I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walking, medications, routines, and house rules. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, boundaries, and needs to make sure they feel secure and cared for.

“Lana is always amazing with our dogs. She gives them so much love and attention while we were away. She even asked if we needed the garbage out and took our packages in. She made us feel so at ease while on vacation”

As someone who hires pet sitters for my own high-needs pets, I know it’s important to have professional and compassionate care! I’m available to do drop-in visits in the early morning (6am-7am) and drop-in visits in the evening (5pm-8pm). I offer dog walks in the evenings during daylight hours! “Grace was great! I got a picture of my cats every day I was gone, taking a big worry off my mind while I was on vacation. When I got home, everything was in great shape, especially my fur babies! Lowie was first to meet me as always. I had to call Taila, but she also came out of hiding. We spent the afternoon together as if I had never been gone. Thank you Grace for making this so seemless for both me and my cats.”

Columbia dog parents share their Rover experiences
Taylor was amazing, as usual - not only with my older dog who she has cared for before, but a brand new to our home puppy. Taylor was a great communicator, prompt to each and every visit, stayed the allotted time engaging with the dogs (even the cats made their way into a couple of pictures,) she sent many pictures, and even cleaned up a few puppy accidents. Thank you Taylor, it's nice to have someone you can trust with your furbabies (and your home).

We had a great experience with María! She was committed and professional, visit us before to meet Polo and get to know him.She keep me update with photos of Polo it was nice to see him happy to be outside looking for bunnies and running. I was so happy and relaxed knowing María was taking care of him, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Jessie did an excellent job caring for my pets while I was away for the weekend. She was able to administer the insulin injection for my diabetic cat and also took the time and care to make sure he ate before giving him his insulin. Her communication was great. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to use again!

Carmen was absolutely FANTASTIC!! She visited with us and our doggies twice before a trip to Mexico to make sure it was a good fit, as my husband and I had never done used Rover before. Immediately, I felt at ease seeing her interact with our dogs. She clearly has a gift and is so comfortable with the dogs, it helps them feel comfortable too (especially with our anxious boy)! She even helped reset our crappy wifi so we could check in our babies via the doggy cam while away. Carmen went above and beyond in every way possible and the care she gave our dogs was priceless!!
