I've also cared for pets for family, friends, and neighbors, and I've volunteered at animal shelters, where I spent time with dogs of different ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. I know how stressful it can be to find someone you feel comfortable leaving your pet with. I’ll make each experience as easy and reassuring as possible. About: Hi, I’m Samantha! I’ve had all types of pets my whole life and enjoy taking care of animals big or small. I’m a Veterinary Assistant with knowledge on animal temperaments and proper care. I've worked with animals with diverse medical conditions, including my own pets. I am able to recognize signs of discomfort or distress, which will allow me to notify you if any concerns arise during my visit. During my free time I spend it with my 8 fur-babies. I have experience with dogs, cats, ferrets, and guinea pigs. I would love to meet your animals! I treat each pet as if they were my own and give them all the love and attention as possible. I have open availability Wednesday’s & Sunday’s. I am also available Saturday’s after 2pm. I will maintain your pets routine and closely follow care instructions given. “Alyssa was absolutely a God send. She was incredible with our two kitties that we never left before. She was very thorough and detail oriented. Also she sent regular pictures and videos and messages. Anytime I reached out to her she was very quick to respond. She was the only person that our kitties actually went up to the first time they met her. They are always reserved and shy and actually run and hide from any visitors...even my parents that have been here several times took them several visits to get used to. Animals can sense a good hearted, caring person when they meet one. We will absolutely be using Alyssa on a regular basis. I know it can't be easy to trust someone you don't know staying at your house for several days but as soon as I met Alyssa, I was instantly comfortable and trusting of her. About: I've had dogs my whole life, helped with training, and often would dog and house sit for friends and family. I've attended several dog training courses with some of my own dogs, as well as researching and practicing on my own. I've helped a close friend and my sister do basic training with their own dogs. I also have 2 cats, and am careful to adjust treatment of all my animals to their personality and needs! I am available Mon/Tues/Saturday. I can be available Wednesday and Thursday with advanced notice. I am only available Sundays and/or Fridays upon request and with at least 3 weeks notice. I currently work part time in the service industry and am getting ready to go back to school for a career change. My schedule is mostly flexible, but I do have a commitment to my other job as well. I'm happy to work with anyone who needs me during unavailable days, don't be afraid to ask and we can see if we can work it out! My dog is not dog friendly, so I do not do any care at my residence. However, it means I am experienced with dogs who need a bit more awareness in their care than others! I'm attentive and firm, and am willing to go for a 2 hour hike or rest in the house depending on their needs.

About: I’ve always had a natural connection with animals, especially dogs, and finally welcomed my own pup, Leia, into my life five years ago. Since then, I’ve handled all of her training, walks, feeding schedule, etc., myself. I learned a lot from years of watching "It’s Me or the Dog," and put what I've learned into practice with my dog, Leia. What sets me apart is my mix of genuine love for dogs, hands‑on training experience, and a calm, reliable presence. I’m excited to meet your pup and give them a walk they’ll remember; one that’s safe, stimulating, and tailored to their personality. I am a college student at DePaul University, majoring in Finance and Criminology. I commute on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I am free to walk your furry friend any day that isn't Tuesday or Thursday :) I have one energetic five-year-old Wheaton terrier whom I have trained by myself. I walk her at least once a day, feed her, play with her, and train her when time allows. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your established rules and routines to ensure your dog feels comfortable and stress‑free. I pay close attention to safety — from securely leashing during walks to double‑checking doors, gates, and feeding instructions.
