“Mercedes is a definite "God Send". Her enthusiasm and overall ability to have my Rocket feel like a family member is truly beautiful. Rocket gets excited when he knows he's going to see Mercedes. I will continue to have her take care of Rocket and recommend others to do the same if they are looking for a sitter equal to their love for their pet.”

“Nemo took to Kathleen right away. She kept him busy with walking and playing with her children. She is a dog lover! He is as in good hands. Sent several pics too. Would definitely ask her to sit again.”

“Tanisha is the Best!!. We got daily pictures, videos and updates. I highly recommend Tanisha’s home lots of fun and all the loving care our Frankie received while in her home.”

“Janet was the best! I was nervous to leave my dog behind, but she eased my fears. She sent me pictures every day and her dogs welcomed my dog into their pack right away. He was sad to come home! I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful sitter. We’ll definitely be repeat customers! Thank you, Janet!”

“Liliana and her family gave me such peace of mind to leave my Whiskey in their care. The initial visit with the family in their beautiful home was so warm and friendly. And while I was away, I was so grateful for the updates and pics throughout each day. Whiskey got attached to one of Liliana’s teenage daughters. So sweet!”

“Kyla is and was so amazing with my fur baby. For one, I was terrified because Eden has IVDD ( nerve condition that caused him to lose the functionality in his back legs) and I was like who is going to watch or even change a diaper on a dog. I have never seen anyone to attentive to my baby as if he were her baby. I’m so grateful to have found her and I will be a repeat client. Thank you again Kyla!!”

“Iman was AMAZING, my Colin enjoyed himself thoroughly. She was so good with him. Iman kept us informed daily about what Colin was doing. She sent pictures and videos of all the activities. Colin generally does not play with other dogs but while with Iman, he seemed to truly enjoy himself. Iman was soo gracious and understanding with us as we were a bit late with our pickup time. I have to say this experience was GREAT. I have used boarding facilities and doggie hotels in the past and my Colin has never had this much fun, all the photos and videos showed that he was having an awesome time. I absolutely recommend Iman for your furry baby, she is well trained and knows how to take good care of furrbaby.”

“It was our first time boarding Koda, so we were a little nervous about how he would handle it. Megan made the entire experience incredibly comforting and seamless. She kept us updated throughout the day, responded quickly, and truly put our minds at ease. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend her to anyone.”

“My dog Milo loved his time with Desiree! I booked her on such short notice and she was so accommodating and flexible with her schedule, and she was so sweet to Milo!”

“Amy was amazing! I left my cat Dino in her care for over a week, and she was very communicative, kind, and caring for my cat. By the end of his stay, he was even cuddling with her throughout the night because of how comfortable he was. Will definitely book again! 10/10 service would recommend”

“Manuel is the best sitter I could have found for my dog. He took such good care of my corgi Kit, and kept me updated the whole time. He looked after his sensitive paws and made sure Kit was entertained. I really appreciate the social time with other dogs that Kit got during his stay. Manuel is very responsive, attentive, kind, and reliable. Thank you so much for looking after my pup for the holidays. Will definitely book with Manuel again the next time I’m out of town.”

“Bridget was amazing with our dog, Miller. Miller has separation anxiety and can be a hit or miss with sitters, but he warmed up to Bridget and her family right away. Great communication and felt extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend to let your dog stay with her family and pup of her own who is both adorable and friendly.”

“Kathy and her family were wonderful! She asked thoughtful questions on how to care for my dog. Kathy kept me updated on how Honey was doing during her stay with texts and pictures. She treated my furbaby like family. Highly recommended!”

“I left my dog with Dara for 2.5 weeks and I did not worry about him at all. Finding a good Rover is tricky especially that my dog is reactive and can’t stay with other dogs. She consistently sent updates with photos and I loved hearing about his little quirks! I appreciate her celebrating his birthday too! I can tell that my dog had a great time, we highly recommend Dara!”

“Fantastic dog sitter! Took great care of our dogs and kept us updated with regular messages and photos throughout their stay. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Susseth was awesome!! At drop off Rocky felt so comfortable with her that he didn't pay any attention as we walked away. Throughout the entire boarding, Susseth kept communicating with me daily and would send me videos of my pup so that we can be at ease and enjoy our mini vacation. Rocky looked so happy in her care. I will definitely be booking with her again. I 100% recommend her. Thanks Susseth for everything.”

“Patrick did a great job with our cats! He was on time to feed them every day and sent us pictures each day as well. We were very comfortable leaving our boys with him! We definitely call him again!”

“Amanda was amazing and so considerate of making the schedule work when she came to take care of our car while we were away! She was so helpful with things she noticed in the house that needed to be taken care of that other people would have paid no attention to and it made our coming home after a long trip so much easier. A million stars and we will be calling her again for sure!”

About: I have over 13 years experience doing vet assistant and vet technician tasks and skills as a volunteer at The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge, IL. I have been employed as part of the membership and philanthropic department at Lincoln Park Zoo from which I learned a great deal, stemming from my biology classes on taxonomy to zoology, to specific animal facts and conservation of threatened animals. I therefore know a great deal of educational background on animal behavior. I studied psychology and comparitive human psychology/animal behavior with a bachelors in science from IIT. I have grown up with dogs, cats, and ferrets. At Southwest Animal Care Center, I bathed, fed, walked, medicated, and cared for boarding and patient animals. I graduated with my veterinary assistant certificate in 2018. After graduating from IIT, I became a kennel attendant and learned a great deal about how to care for animals. Pet care is a daily task for me as I take care for two little fuzzbutt ferrets, Icarus and Agatha. Icarus often wakes me up with his bushy tailed excitement. I'm lucky to have such wonderful critters in my life. Right now, I am only offering dog walking and off-site at client's home services. From what I've read from the anthropologist book "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz, animals, especially dogs, crave human attention so being attentive to an animal's needs is to me, what's most important. This includes communicating with animals to know when they need a bathroom break, when they want play, when they want affection and cuddles, when they want nappy time, being fed according to what their schedule is, and of course, offering healthy treats (if allowed) and new novel smells, toys, etc. I can manage 4-5 walks per day with one or multiple dogs at a time 5-6 days a week. This is my main job and I'm dedicated to providing top care as if they are my own. I take extra care to be a courteous and contentious guest in the owner's home. I treat my stay with respect and humbly care. You can trust me to provide excellent care and keep everything tidy and clean.

About: I love dogs. I have had one Doberman, one mutt who was the best, and two English Mastiffs. I had a dog everyday of my life until five years ago when my 200 pound English Mastiff named Max died. It broke my heart and hasn't felt right to replace him. But I love dogs and cherish watching the relationship people have with their dogs. I say hi to every pooch on the street that I pass. Rest assured, your dog will be treated with the utmost friendliness and care imaginable. I work from home so your dog will always have a friendly companion around. A side note. No Pit Bulls, No Rottweilers, No Stafford Terriers, No Husky of any sort, and No Doodles of any sort. I'm sure if any of these five dogs are part of your family that you are a wonderful person and so is your dog. However, they are far from my cup of tea. I work from home. I'm home basically all the time. And other than that, I just work on landscaping my front and back yards. I have a fenced in yard. Your pet is in great hands. I work from home. “Tara is extraordinarily helpful. I needed someone to visit my cat short notice, and she was on her way to my house within a few minutes. Tara loves pets passionately and it shows in everything she does. She is tuned into cats and gives Jim Catsby so much attention in ways that he enjoys—petting, brushing, etc. Awesome! 10 stars!”

“I will never go to another sitter, ever! She takes care of my cat who is an absolute terror to people, and Ethel is bery kind to her. She goes above and beyond every time I have her!”

“katy was so great with our two dogs. she had great communication and notes with photos so we knew what they were up to during the check-ins. she's very sweet and i can tell she really cares for the animals she cares for!”

About: I’ve always had a natural connection with animals, especially dogs, and finally welcomed my own pup, Leia, into my life five years ago. Since then, I’ve handled all of her training, walks, feeding schedule, etc., myself. I learned a lot from years of watching "It’s Me or the Dog," and put what I've learned into practice with my dog, Leia. What sets me apart is my mix of genuine love for dogs, hands‑on training experience, and a calm, reliable presence. I’m excited to meet your pup and give them a walk they’ll remember; one that’s safe, stimulating, and tailored to their personality. I am a college student at DePaul University, majoring in Finance and Criminology. I commute on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I am free to walk your furry friend any day that isn't Tuesday or Thursday :) I have one energetic five-year-old Wheaton terrier whom I have trained by myself. I walk her at least once a day, feed her, play with her, and train her when time allows. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your established rules and routines to ensure your dog feels comfortable and stress‑free. I pay close attention to safety — from securely leashing during walks to double‑checking doors, gates, and feeding instructions. My goal is to treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I give my own.

“Jim was great, the dogs ran right in his house and started inspecting. Kinda like when you think your kid is going to want to stay with you on the first day of preschool and they run in without looking back. Jim will definitely be first choice going forward.”

About: Animals are freakin awesome and I love them! I've had snails, a bird, frogs, co-owned cats (one at a time), as well as cat sit. I grew up with a dog, and spent 15+years with my beloved baby Shiba Inu Kenji. He had one eye, lots of arthritis, kidney issues, and half his teeth in the end but was full of life! Very familiar with meds and schedules and special needs, natural food etc. Not ready for another and didn't know much about this service. I wish l'd have known, so let me help YOU! (Note- i cannot take dogs over 60lbs, check box options are limited. Thanks for understanding) I work from home so can be available for full days, or as needed. Weekends I may have some things to do but will prioritize where needed. I do not have a crate, but you can provide. Otherwise I have bowls and beds and cones of shame as well as soft flower cone where needed. I also have gates and a pen, and multiple doors. I treat my animals (mine or family friends) like a kid. Safety always, lots of love, and a fun time!

About: I can guarantee your pet is cared for and has everything they need to be comfortable. Their needs will be prioritized and met. My whole life pets have gravitated towards me and felt safe next to me. Pet care is in my everyday routine because I have my dog Oreo. From the time I wake up, my Oreo is there and ready to start the day with me. He loves going outside first thing and then coming back in to eat and relax. We also have daily walks and enrichment activities to keep him healthy. I care for pets by providing fresh and clean food and water, clean litter or outside potty breaks, attention and enrichment through playing, and a comfortable place to sleep & relax. (and of course treats!)

About: I have had my dog now for almost 10 years. I used to care for my dog as well as a roommates dog at one point. I can give medications and can provide First Aid/Heimlich if needed. Strong enough to hold back and tame my 60 pound Boxer mix. I’ve also helped care/walk my sisters Great Dane and my friends smaller dogs for 7 years or so. I love animals and if you have other little friends who need care, just let me know what to do and I’ll do it. I work night shift as an ICU Nurse so I’m home all day. I can pop in and check on your babies any time during the day. I would need to know in advance only cause I do eventually sleep during the day. I’m aware you are trusting me with one of the most important members of your family, I’ll be happy to leave a photo and an update of any changes , good or bad, so you can enjoy some peace of mind that everything is alright.
“I recently adopted a rescue who is having a hard time adjusting to new people. Kathryn did a great job with him! Despite him growling at her she was patient with him and helped him calm down so she could walk him. She was reliable and understanding. I then asked her if she could come again last minute and without hesitation she agreed! I would definitely work with Kathryn again!”

“June can be nervous initially but warmed up to Patrycja quickly! I can tell June enjoyed her walks by the pictures and updates sent! Patrycja really went above and beyond to make sure June was comfortable! We both appreciated the help today! Thank you!”

About: Hi! I'm looking for new wonderful pets to walk and take care of! I have taken in four rescues, all with different special physical and behavioral needs. I currently have two Pitbull mixes, one Lab mix, and a multiple tropical aquariums! Caring for animals has been a passion of mine since I was young. A favorite activity of mine is taking my dogs to local forest preserves where they can play and exert their energy. I can administer eye drops, pills, and ointments to pets as my own have different medications that they need on a regular basis. I have also taken classes in care for companion animals. Special needs animals have a forever place in my heart because I believe that every pup or cat deserves to enjoy life to the fullest! Whether that is hiking at a trail, swimming in a lake, or curling up on the couch- I'd love to help them do that! Currently very open for scheduling. Stays for over a week will have to be discussed as I do have to ensure time to take care of my own animals. I do not host animals in my own home, but I am adaptable to a variety of routines and activities you and your pet would enjoy.

Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or companionship, I’ll treat your pets like family and follow their routine closely. I pay close attention to their safety, behavior, and comfort, follow all instructions carefully, and make sure they receive plenty of love and attention.

About: I have plenty of experience with both dogs and cats. I have been working in a dog/cat boarding and daycare facility for a little over a year now. At work, we are responsible for providing individual care for each animal staying with us; we are in charge of providing them with playtime, feeding them, giving meds, and more. Personally, I have had two cats going on about 15 years now, and I have had two dogs (a lab mix and a pit mix) for about five years. I also have the experience of being a dog walker volunteer at a humane society! Right now, I am on summer break and home from school, and I am currently only working a part-time job. On days I do work at my part-time job, I’m usually working from 8-230pm 3-4 days a week, so I will usually be available outside of that time period on my working days. On non-working days, I typically have open availability. Since I am around animals pretty much 24/7, caring for them is part of my usual routine, making me very passionate and comfortable around animals. Unfortunately, one of my dogs is reactive and doesn't take well to new doggy friends, so care at my house would not be possible. However, in terms of staying in the owner's home, I would bring over some toys and other things dogs love, like treats, and I could even bring a splash pad for those who like water! I would make sure the dog is my number one priority and be on top of what their daily needs are. For cats, plenty of catnip and fun will be involved!

About: As a professional pet photographer, my approach to pet care is rooted in patience, kindness, and a safety-first mindset. My experience working around animals has taught me that every pet has their own unique personality, and I love letting them move at their own comfortable pace. My top priority during every drop-in visit or walk is to provide a calm, reliable, and trustworthy experience for both you and your pet. I am highly detail-oriented and take pride in strictly following your specific feeding, scheduling, and safety instructions so your pet's routine stays exactly the way they like it. Plus, as a natural bonus of my background, you can always look forward to receiving bright, beautiful photo updates from our sessions so you can see exactly how happy and safe your best friend is while you're away! I am a photographer that works part time, My schedule may change from week to week basis depending on shoots. I am usually available for at least several hours throughout the day but this may fluctuate I care for pets by following your instructions perfectly to keep their routine normal. As a pet parent to Oscar and my 18-year-old pup, Riley, I have personal experience with both active dogs and senior pets who need a gentle, patient touch. I focus on keeping every drop-in and walk entirely safe, calm, and reliable

“Omg! Ethel was amazing with Beau! She kept in communication with me the entire time I was gone and she was super friendly! I WILL DEFINITELY BE BOOKING WITH HER AGAIN IN THE FUTURE!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH ETHEL!”

“Barbara was great she's definitely a dog person.Harley is a big friendly puppy.but can be too friendly. No problem with Barbara she sent updates and videos pictures I had no worries about Harley she was there for 1 week. Would definitely use her again!!”

“Shani (and her kiddos☺️) LOVED on my pup while I was away. Shani was an excellent communicator and sent update photos and videos, too. I really appreciated such good communication and how well Lady was taken care of. When you see your dog smiling in the update photos, you know it’s real. I’ll be looking to book Shani for my next trip away.”

“Stefani is excellent! We were worried because we have a puppy who has never been without us. She took great care of him and he seemed really happy. I had to unexpectedly cancel my second stay with Stefani due to a medical emergency and she was so amazing about it! I highly recommend her.”

“5 stars all around! She kept me updated about my baby and definitely worked with my schedule. I appreciated her very much. I will be booking with her more often.”

“I was apprehensive leaving my rescue dog for the very first time in the nearly one year we've been together, but Phyllis and Greg were absolutely wonderful hosts and made the entire experience stress-free. They were warm and friendly and provided a calm environment. Great communication. They'll be my dog's new home-away-from-home.”

“Tonisha is very kind, flexible, responsive. I missed my drop off window and she was very gracious. She shared daily photos and asked about Langston’s behaviors to ensure he was safe i.e.going on walks, etc. If possible, we hope to work with her again.”

“Cary is fantastic! I know my dogs are well cared for at her house. She sends great pictures and when we arrived, my dogs were super happy to be there, so that says a lot! Thank you Cary!”
