About: I have years of hands-on experience caring for animals and take pride in being dependable, patient, and attentive. I treat every pet like they're my own and am comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I'm experienced with feeding schedules, administering oral medications, walking, playtime, and providing plenty of love and attention. I understand the importance of keeping pets on their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I also have extensive experience working in the equestrian industry, where I've cared for high-performance horses and learned to recognize changes in animal behavior, maintain strict care routines, and stay calm in unexpected situations. That experience has made me highly responsible and detail-oriented when caring for animals. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I have over five years of experience caring for dogs and other animals, and I'm comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, administering medications if needed, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they receive plenty of attention and exercise. Having worked around animals in both professional and personal settings, I'm organized, dependable, and able to adapt to each pet's individual needs while keeping them safe, happy, and on their normal routine. I provide the same level of care I would want for my own pets. In my client's home, I stick to the pet's normal routine by feeding them on schedule, providing fresh water, taking dogs on walks, playing with them, cleaning up after them, and giving them lots of attention and affection. I also make sure the home stays clean, secure, and exactly as the owner left it. I'm comfortable caring for pets of different ages and energy levels, and I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being while keeping owners updated with photos and messages.
“Christy was great! Appreciate the clear communication and updates on my kitties. Even though our group is shy, she made sure to snap pics from their hiding spots. She also went above and beyond bringing in a package we’d had delivered taking it in from the front steps. Thank you!”
“Stephanie was great! They made sure to communicate every day and followed all the instructions to a T. Their availability during the holidays helped me a lot. Would book again.”

“As always, Eric was awesome with our two cats. I can rest assured that I will receive a detailed report and photos for each visit, knowing that my cats are in good hands and will get lots of pets! Thank you!”

I understand how important your fur baby is to you, and I treat every dog like my own — with patience, attention, and lots of playtime. Your pup is in great hands! I work part-time, so I have plenty of time and flexibility throughout the day to give your pup the attention they deserve. I’m available midday and afternoons, making me a great fit for dogs who need midday check-ins or walks. I live in a cozy 1-bedroom apartment with my own friendly, socialized dog — so your pup will always have a playmate! I keep a safe, pet-proofed space and treat every dog like family.
“We loved having Julia for drop-in visits for our two dogs! One of our dogs, Chip, was recently adopted (<1 week), so we were nervous leaving him, but Julia took such good care of them and it gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. She was also very flexible with our different needs, such as feeding at evening drop-ins, followed all the instructions, was very responsive and sent lots of photos of each visit, which helped me worry less about Chip. I would definitely recommend Julia to care for your fur babies!”

“Chloe is an excellent dog sitter! She comes on time, makes sure my dog is taken out, and fed. She also walks and plays with her. She is very responsive and will ask if anything is needed. I also like her pricing as it is affordable. I definitely recommend her as a sitter!”

“I highly recommend Kay for watching your pet. Kay was prompt with the appointments I scheduled and sent me pictures during the day she watched our dog. I look forward to being a repeat customer of Kay’s, thank you Kay for taking care of Jenny for us.”

“This is our first experience with Rover, we were unsure about it at first but Nicole was amazing! She went as scheduled and we got a sweet and detailed update every day. It's obvious how much she loves cats, our kitty walked right up to her at the meet and greet so he could tell too! We are so grateful to Nicole for giving him so much love while we were away!”

About: Hi! I’ve loved dogs and animals for as long as I can remember. Being around animals has always felt natural to me — their energy, personalities, and unconditional love are something I truly connect with. I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, where I care for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. From energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and comfort, I’m experienced in providing safe, attentive, and loving care. My daily responsibilities include supervised group play, feeding routines, cleaning and sanitizing, monitoring behavior, and helping pets feel comfortable while away from home. Working in this environment has taught me how to read body language, manage multiple dogs safely, and respond calmly in any situation. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priorities. I genuinely love what I do — I’ve always been the kind of person who picks animals over people! Caring for pets isn’t just a job for me; it’s something I’m truly passionate about. I treat every dog and cat as if they were my own and make sure they feel loved, secure, and cared for while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member! About: Hi! I am a Biomedical Sciences Pre-Vet Major at UNH, and have had animals my entire life. I have experience handling dogs of all ages (newborn to senior) which includes obedience training, grooming and raising. I've been the main caretaker of my dogs since I was 10 years old. I have experience pet sitting client dogs, cats, horses, goats and pigs, although I am new to Rover! Previously, I get clients through word of mouth and Facebook. I have 3 dogs, and have raised 3 litters of puppies! I have worked closely with a dog trainer/walker and have helped out before when her clients were in need of a sitter. Fostering dogs was also a big part of my life growing up, I helped home 14 dogs throughout my adolescence! There was a time where I even helped rehabilitate a baby bird! I have spent over 70 hours shadowing and interning at Bulger Veterinary Hospital in Lawrence (MA), getting practice handling and inspecting dogs and cats. I am currently a full-time student at UNH, but home for the summers! I am available most days of the week, but do work part time at an ice cream stand, and in the past I adjust my hours around my clients needs (to the best of my ability). When visiting a client's home, I always make sure to check with the client on where keys are kept, which doors are to be used/locked and the typical routine. I try to maintain a calm environment as to reduce the stress of the animal, by using a calm tone and keeping an eye on body language to maintain boundaries. I have my own car which expands the area in which I can take the dog for walks, while also allowing me to transport the animal in case of emergency. This past summer I enjoyed taking one of my clients to different walking trails and dog friendly locations throughout my area. At my own house, I utilize crates and baby gates to provide safe, calm, separate spaces for rest while also allowing the opportunity for play.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
