About: I've grown up with both cats and dogs and have years of experience caring for them. I'm also a runner, so if you have a more energetic dog id be happy to take them on a run instead of a walk! I'm a full time student at University of Massachusetts Amherst, but have gaps in my schedule between classes and I'm available after classes past 4pm I play with my pets and feed them at consistent times. I help my dog exercise through walks several times a day. Whatever accommodations your pet needs I believe I could fulfill!
About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my experience, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals of all ages and needs. I have hands-on experience with both puppies and senior pets, and I adjust my care to match their energy levels, medical needs, and routines. I'm available for boarding on the weekends and any night after 4 pm. There will always be a trusted adult at home to keep your furry friend happy and cared for! I have a fenced in yard and a border collie living at home. He is extremely friendly and his best friend is my brother's teacup Yorkie, so he gets along with dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments!
“Annabelle took wonderful care of my dog, Abby, and my cat, Artemis, while I was away. Abby is recovering from a leg injury and has a detailed care routine, including medication and extra support getting around. Annabelle followed every instruction, made sure Abby received all of her medication, helped support her injured leg when needed, and cleaned up after her outside. She also made sure both pets always had clean food and water bowls, gave them plenty of attention and affection, and left everything neat and organized. When I got home, both Abby and Artemis were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Throughout the entire stay, Annabelle was incredibly responsible, responsive, and dependable. She kept me updated, replied quickly to messages, and paid attention to all of the little details. Caring for an injured dog takes extra patience and compassion, and she handled Abby’s recovery with genuine care. She treated my pets like they were her own, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. Annabelle truly went above and beyond, and I would absolutely trust her with Abby and Artemis again without hesitation. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy pet sitter.”

By hiring me, you would not only be filling the dog shaped hole in my heart, but you would receive care you can count on. I am currently off for the summer from school, so my schedule can easily adapt to fit pretty much any needs! Once school starts back up, I am available weekends and after school hours. As a teacher, I am used to being entrusted with the safety and wellbeing of upwards of 15 students at a time. I take my responsibility to you and your pets just as seriously as I take my responsibility to my students and their families. When they are in my care, they are my first priority, always.
“Jazmin did a fantastic job caring for my special needs dog.She was patient, attentive, and took the time to understand his routine and medications. I felt completely at ease while away, thanks to the updates and photos she sent, and I came home to a happy, calm pup.”

“Stephanie was fantastic! She was a great communicator, followed all of our instructions, and spent quality time socializing with our kitties every day. We loved receiving her updates after each visit and seeing all the wonderful photos she took, they gave us real peace of mind while we were away. We came home to two happy, healthy cats, and she even brought in packages that were delivered while we were gone. We really appreciated her care and attention to detail and highly recommend her!”

I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, quiet companionship, playtime, or simply sticking to a familiar schedule, I’m happy to provide thoughtful, dependable care that helps them feel safe while you’re away. I’m organized, communicative, and understand how important it is to trust the person caring for a beloved family member. I’ll provide regular updates, photos, and make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, affection, and care. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family and creating a positive experience for both you and your pets. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide dependable care throughout the week. I’m available for drop-in visits, dog walking, house sitting, and overnight care with advance notice. I enjoy spending quality time with animals and will make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and consistency while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, favorite activities, and any special instructions before every booking. I treat every home with respect, keep communication open, and provide regular updates and photos. My goal is to maintain your pet’s normal routine so they feel secure and happy while you’re away.
“Kristen is amazing!!! She needed to shovel her way in to feed our cats one night, *and* she had to clean up one of my forgetful messes, but Kristen stops at nothing to make sure our home and pets are well cared for! She also managed to befriend my very suspicious cats— no easy feat! Will definitely use Kristen again when needed! 🙌🙌”

About: I’ve always been an animal person and will treat your fur baby as if they were my own. I can relax with them, walk around your neighborhood with them, play with them- whatever they need. I am available for dog walking and drop-in visits to check in on your dogs, ensuring they have food, water, and plenty of attention while you are away. I will take both, your needs and your best friends’ into account and accommodate the best way I can to ensure I am providing what works for you and your pup.
About: Hey! I'm Luis. I've always had a natural connection with animals, and caring for them has never really felt like work to me. I enjoy getting to know each dog's personality, whether they're the type that wants to burn off energy on a walk or would rather take things slow and soak up some attention. When I'm looking after someone's pet, they have my full attention. I take the responsibility seriously, stick to their routine as closely as possible, and make sure they're healthy, comfortable, and having a good time. I also make sure to send plenty of photo, video, and text updates because I know I'd appreciate those if someone were watching my own pet. Over the years I've cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, including large breeds, senior dogs, and a few with special care instructions like topical or oral meds. Puppies aren't quite my specialty unless they are very well potty trained already, however I am unlikely to turn down untrained ones because of my love for animals. While dogs are my main focus, I've always gotten along well with cats too. They seem to decide I'm trustworthy pretty quickly... though I'd like to think my surprisingly convincing meow deserves at least a little of the credit 🤭 Right now I offer dog walks and drop-in visits. I don't have my driver's license just yet, so my travel range is limited to about 5 miles tops, but if you're within that range I'd be happy to give your pet the exercise, attention, and company they deserve while you're away! I am available every day full time, this is subject to change eventually as I am looking for a steadier job and will need to focus on other life tasks eventually. P.S If you book with me and notice my calendar change to unavailable for the dates you requested it's to avoid requests from multiple owners for those dates, I work by a first come first serve basis. Pets will adhere to all rules of my clients home unless exceptions are stated beforehand, this includes treat amount, furniture/room access, noise amount and/or anything else that comes to mind.
“I highly recommend Kay for watching your pet. Kay was prompt with the appointments I scheduled and sent me pictures during the day she watched our dog. I look forward to being a repeat customer of Kay’s, thank you Kay for taking care of Jenny for us.”

About: Hi, I’m Jay! If you’re looking for someone who will love your pets as much as you do, you’ve come to the right place. Animals have been my biggest passion for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, snakes, and everything in between, and I truly believe every pet deserves personalized care, lots of love, and plenty of attention. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking buddy, a cuddle buddy, playtime, meals, medication, a bath, or just someone patient and dependable while you’re away, I’m here to help! Long haired pups or kitties that hate being brushed? No problemo! I’m happy to tackle the fluff so you don’t have to. 😊 One thing that sets me apart is that I’m constantly learning. I love researching animal behavior, enrichment, nutrition, and the best ways to keep pets happy, healthy, and stress-free. Every pet has their own personality, and I take the time to get to know what makes yours feel safe and comfortable. I know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your best friend with someone else, so I’ll care for your baby like they’re my own. You can expect plenty of updates, adorable photos, and the peace of mind that your furry, feathered, or scaly family member is in loving hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your bestie! 🤍 Caring for pets has always been part of my daily routine. I attend college so I’m able to give your babies attention, care, and playtime before class, in between, and during study time! I’m used to keeping a consistent routine with my own cats and making sure they’re fed, comfortable, and cared for. I only accept bookings that fit my schedule so I can give each pet the time and attention they deserve. I know leaving your pet with someone new can be stressful, so I do everything I can to make the experience easy for both you and your pet. I’ll always follow your care instructions closely, keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible, and make sure they get plenty of love and attention while you’re away. I’ll send lots of updates and pictures (because I know I’d want them too!) so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind. Whether your pet is super energetic, a little shy, or just wants someone to hang out with, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m very detail oriented and always pay attention to things like securely closing doors and gates, keeping dogs safely leashed on walks, and making sure your pet is happy and comfortable. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and feel confident that they were treated like family while you were away.
About: I have owned or cared for 4 legged friends for most of my life. Family and friends have had me care for their pets since I was about 12, but owning my own really made me love them. I am comfortable with pets of all sizes, but I have a special place in my heart for larger breed dogs and orange cats. I would love to help reinforce your dogs training, encourage socialization and exercise in settings that are safe and dog friendly, and I am passionate that animals are part of a family. I am comfortable feeding both dogs and cats, and have experience medicating both. I'm a stay at home mom with a kiddo who is in elementary school, so my schedule tends to be flexible depending on the day and school schedules. Please be aware that if a visit or walk is scheduled on a day that there is no school, (such as a holiday or vacation), or a time that school is not in session (half days, weekends, or after school hours) my daughter may join me. I love going for walks and exploring new areas, but can also happily cuddle a furry friend. I am able to feed, pick up after, and care for animals with confidence. I am comfortable taking instruction and will do my absolute best to make sure that you are happy with my visit with your furry family member. I don't worry about bigger dogs, they're just more to love! Meeting a new dog prior to the first visit is a requirement for my services.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Chelmsford. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
