“Kate B did an amazing job. She showed up every day and provided a photo and status report, along with giving my cat her daily churu treat. She was very friendly and professional, and I would highly recommend for anyone looking for someone to care for his or her beloved feline while away.”

“First time using this service, and Danielle exceeded my expectations. She came promptly the weekend before we went away to pick up the keys and get the lay of the land, and each day we were gone we received an update (with photos!), putting our minds at ease while on vacation. We came home to two less stressed than usual cats and an apartment in better shape than we left it. We will definitely be contacting her for our next vacation. Thank you, Danielle!”

“Tom once again did a great job with Pumba and gave her medicine exactly as instructed. Full confidence in Tom with her and appreciate his quick responses and effective communication. Thank you Tom!”

“Emily is the best! She’s very flexible with my schedule changes and her communication is always on point with any details or requests I may have. My pup loves her!! Highly recommend her to anyone ❤️”

“Amy has cat sit for us several times now and is very reliable and responsive. Our cats liked her immediately when they met her. Amy has given us great peace of mind that our cats are well cared for when we are away!”

“Such a great sitter. Understood medication directions well, kept me up to date on each medication and how my kitty took it, very thorough visits and descriptions, as a first time user of Rover, he made an excellent impression and I will definitely be using his services again anytime I need them. Highly recommend!”

“First time having a sitter come into my home and only the second time leaving my fur baby for more than 1 night.... After the fist day or 2, I missed by baby but was not anxious about him. He was getting spoiled rotten! Karein not only did everything I asked, but went above and beyond with videos, pictures, trying new toys, cleaning up his food dishes, and bringing in my mail. Very happy and so is my cat.”

“Courtney did a fantastic job taking care of our two dogs, Teddy and Sadie while we were away for a weekend. She kept us constantly updated on how they were doing and provided lots of photos. She was also nice enough to bring our mail in for us and was very accommodating when we had a last minute schedule change request. Highly recommend and would definitely book her again!”

About: I adopted my first dog in second grade. He was my responsibility and as I got older, I learned that I loved going for walks outside as much as my dog. Now that I'm older, I love taking friends' dogs for hikes in new locations. I have even managed to train one of my friend's reactive dog so she pulls on the leash less. I also briefly fostered animals when I was in graduate school. I am a teacher on summer break, so I have plenty of hours to devote to your pet and look forward to enjoying plenty of summer outside time with your dog. I have walked a wide range of dogs, including a couple of reactive pit bull mixes. I have experienced triggering situations with dogs and know how to either handle them or avoid them.

About: I don't have any experience on pet care but would love to get experience I do have two cats of my own and love pets I do play with my two cats and put food and water down and I also play with my sisters three dogs and four cats The way I care for pets in my house is I play with the dogs and cats and I left the dogs outside if they need to go out
About: I grew up with dogs my whole life and love nothing more than going for walks and hikes! I have a 7 year old dog of my own, Ellie, who loves to play with other high energy dogs. I'm new to the area and am looking to bring my pet care experience and love of the outdoors to my new neighborhood! In addition to dogs, I have many years of experience caring for horses, chickens, and other farm animals, and am comfortable learning about the care of your other critters as well! I currently work full-time in the office Monday-Friday, so your pets will typically be left alone for up to 8 hours, unless your home is close enough to the office that I can swing over at lunch time. I work full-time in an office Monday-Friday. I can accommodate some early morning or evening walks and overnight stays for pets who can be left alone for up to 8 hours. I have a dog-friendly car and am up for exploring new local spots. I'm respectful of my clients' homes and will leave it as good or better than I found it!
“Alyssa did an excellent job. My Sheltie, who has never allowed anyone outside our family to leash her, trusted Alyssa to do it! She gave detailed updates and went above and beyond. My cat also loved her!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Billerica
Michelle was amazing. Our cats had just been moved into a new house and were anxious, hiding, and completely out of their routine, so we were honestly worried about leaving them. But we didn’t need to be. Michelle has such a calm, patient way with cats, and it was so encouraging to watch them come out of their shells for her. Every visit came with lots of photos and videos, with little updates on each of the cats, so we always knew how they were doing. It was obvious she wasn’t just “going through the motions”… she was really spending time with them and getting to know their personalities. She also went above and beyond in so many little ways, bringing in packages, helping us with a few things around the house, and even bringing fresh catnip from her own garden for them. The biggest compliment I can give is that I think our cats were genuinely happy to see her every day. That gave us so much peace of mind during a stressful week. We’d trust Michelle with them again in a heartbeat and recommend her without hesitation.

Without a doubt, best sitter I’ve ever had. See my previous 5 star reviews. Alyssa is nothing short of amazing. If I died, I would trust her to take care of my pets for the rest of their lives, no question and no exaggeration. Begrudgingly, you should definitely book with Alyssa. Even if it might make her too busy for my own 💔

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
