“Kiley was great. She is very affectionate with the kitties. Cleaned up the cat dishes and scooped the litter box. She also played with them. I would definitely ask her to pet sit again.”

About: I have grown up with dogs for my whole life and love nothing more than going for walks and hikes! I have a 6 year old dog of my own, Ellie, who loves to play with other high energy dogs. I'm new to the area, having spent my entire life so far in western Massachusetts, and am looking to bring my pet care experience and love of the outdoors to my new neighborhood! In addition to dogs, I have many years of experience caring for horses, chickens, and other farm animals, and am comfortable learning about the care of your other critters as well! I work a hybrid job and have time for quick, close by walks on my lunch breaks a few days per week. I can also accommodate some early morning or evening walks. I can choose my remote days, so I could work from your home for short overnight stays. I am renting and cannot accommodate additional pets in my home. I have a dog-friendly car and am up for exploring new local spots. I'm respectful of my clients' homes and will leave it as good or better than I found it!
“Eric and Keegan did a wonderful job taking care of my cat Peaches.. They sent me many pictures every day and gave me daily updates on how Peaches was doing. I will definitely use Eric and Keegan again.”

“Kate was excellent! She came by our house a few days before our scheduled visit to meet our boys, Loki and Thor, and I appreciated how she asked questions about their food, litter, and even their favorite toys. Lots of attention to detail! When it came to the day of the visit, Kate was great at communicating with me about how our cats were doing and sent us photos of them. When we returned from our trip, there was still lots of food left for our kitties which gave me peace of mind! Loki and Thor were in good hands with Kate and I look forward to hiring her again as our pet sitter for future visits. Thanks, Kate!”

“Amy was excellent! We hired her last minute for a quick weekend trip. She came when she said she would, and spent a 1/2 hour with our cat to feed him and play with him. Very professional! She also sent a photo and update.”

“Danielle was great with our little Simba! Very communicative, friendly, and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated with pictures and messages and our neighbors made comments on how wonderful she was. Definitely keeping her in mind for future services. Thanks again Danielle!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I was a bit concerned about traveling out-of-state since relocating to Mass.; however, Tom was accommodating and thoughtful to my dog, Luna, and her needs. Thank you, Tom 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾”

“Jupiter has been amazing! Often times, we would have to add or cancel day sitting sessions and Jupiter never had any problems with the change. Only reason we are leaving is because we were moving, otherwise we would keep Jupiter for our dogs entire life!”

“Courtney was great! She was willing to pick up a last minute request over a holiday weekend. She was great at communicating and sending pictures. My cat, Goose was very happy! Highly recommend!!”

“Alyssa did an excellent job. My Sheltie, who has never allowed anyone outside our family to leash her, trusted Alyssa to do it! She gave detailed updates and went above and beyond. My cat also loved her!”

“Absolutely amazing 🤩 thank you so much for watching Myles and Fyodor while we were away. To name a few things we loved - the toys you shared to keep our kitties entertained, your attire, attitude, communication and pictures! :))”

“Chloe is an excellent dog sitter! She comes on time, makes sure my dog is taken out, and fed. She also walks and plays with her. She is very responsive and will ask if anything is needed. I also like her pricing as it is affordable. I definitely recommend her as a sitter!”

“This is the second time Lisa has looked after our cat and she did a great job! Our little guy is very wary of new people but she was very patient and her updates and pics were great. Will absolutely rebook with Lisa!”

“Andria was so helpful watching our puppy on short notice. she had to deal with my moodiness ellie who was originally not happy-go-lucky about having a Stranger watching her but Andria was a trooper and ellie took to her. I can't thank her enough”

“Booked super last minute due to unexpected emergency, and she was AMAZING! Went above and beyond to take care of my little babies, cannot recommend enough. So communicative and took such great care of them (even though they’re so shy)”

“Holly did a terrific job! She dealt with an unexpected situation (my fault, gave her the wrong key) with ease. She inspires confidence, took the time to take care of everything we requested.”

About: Hi! I’m Mary Evelyn! I am a full-time preschool teacher with summers off. I love to care for other people‘s pets and put families at ease while they enjoy their summer. I grew up in a house full of pets. We had two dogs, a cat, two ferrets, two parakeets, and a rabbit. Unfortunately, my husband is allergic and we can’t have a pet full-time in our house. To fill that void, I spend my summers loving on your fur babies! My children, 10 and 12, are also animal lovers and often are with me caring for the animals. I am a loving and gentle nurturer. I treat your pets just like my own. This is not just a job for me. This is a choice to keep animals in my life because I know the joy they bring. I love to provide owners with pictures and updates, as many as you want and need. I’m also happy to take care of anything at the house that needs tending – mail, plants, cleaning, etc. I look forward to connecting with you! I have full availability over the summer and I am willing to accommodate any kind of schedule. During the fall and winter, my availability is limited to evenings and weekends. My preference is to care for your pet in your home. My kids (12 and 10) sometimes accompany me, as they also love to care for animals and are learning how to be productive and responsible. If you prefer I solely care for your animals, that is completely fine. I always defer to the client and their pet's needs. If I'm providing boarding in my home, the animal will be restricted to our first floor. I do not have a fenced in yard, so I would provide frequent walks throughout the day.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Billerica
Michelle was amazing. Our cats had just been moved into a new house and were anxious, hiding, and completely out of their routine, so we were honestly worried about leaving them. But we didn’t need to be. Michelle has such a calm, patient way with cats, and it was so encouraging to watch them come out of their shells for her. Every visit came with lots of photos and videos, with little updates on each of the cats, so we always knew how they were doing. It was obvious she wasn’t just “going through the motions”… she was really spending time with them and getting to know their personalities. She also went above and beyond in so many little ways, bringing in packages, helping us with a few things around the house, and even bringing fresh catnip from her own garden for them. The biggest compliment I can give is that I think our cats were genuinely happy to see her every day. That gave us so much peace of mind during a stressful week. We’d trust Michelle with them again in a heartbeat and recommend her without hesitation.

Without a doubt, best sitter I’ve ever had. See my previous 5 star reviews. Alyssa is nothing short of amazing. If I died, I would trust her to take care of my pets for the rest of their lives, no question and no exaggeration. Begrudgingly, you should definitely book with Alyssa. Even if it might make her too busy for my own 💔

Adrianna has been amazing with our 3month old Oatmeal! She’s so kind and our Oatmeal absolutely loves her. Always on time and great communication! Always letting us know how he’s doing and keeping us informed on how his behavior has been! We are so lucky to have Adrianna, definitely would continue working with her!

- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
