“Heidi was absolutely amazing. It’s never easy leaving our fur babies and she made my 3 days apart from my 2 kitties less stressful. This was my first time leaving them alone and Heidi was very understanding of my stress. With every visit she sent an update and several pics!!! My two babies immediately took to her and I’m so glad they were in such good hands. Thanks again Heidi ❤️”

“Tom was great! He came by our house per our request to meet us and our dog a few days prior to the appointment. He was very communicative and left us lots of pictures during his visit. Will definitely book again!”

“Holly did a terrific job! She dealt with an unexpected situation (my fault, gave her the wrong key) with ease. She inspires confidence, took the time to take care of everything we requested.”

“Wonderful care for my kitty as always! He has been thru a lot of health issues recently and Kate totally understood that he needed some extra TLC and patience today. Definitely recommend!”

“Amy was excellent! We hired her last minute for a quick weekend trip. She came when she said she would, and spent a 1/2 hour with our cat to feed him and play with him. Very professional! She also sent a photo and update.”

“Danielle took care of my cat for a few days while I was away. She was very professional, and she always responded to messages immediately. We met for a meet and greet, and she was very attentive to all of my instructions. She took great care of my cat, and followed all directions. She sent photo updates daily! Danielle did such a great job, that I have already booked her for another upcoming stay. I highly recommend Danielle! Thank you!”
“Without a doubt, best sitter I’ve ever had. See my previous 5 star reviews. Alyssa is nothing short of amazing. If I died, I would trust her to take care of my pets for the rest of their lives, no question and no exaggeration. Begrudgingly, you should definitely book with Alyssa. Even if it might make her too busy for my own 💔”

“Xinlin did a wonderful job with my cat (and my aquarium). Her demeanor was friendly, her timing was prompt (even though I'm lenient with timing windows), and she exudes her affection for felines. She followed my instructions, got some playtime in, and messaged me about any questions she had rather than act on assumptions like I've had other sitters do. Surprisingly, she took some wonderful photos of my cat in action, something that is hard for even ME to do. I'll definitely using her services again. Thanks Xinlin!”

“We used Katelyn during our wedding weekend and honeymoon and she's been fantastic! Our cat and dog are clearly well taken care of and we are super comfortable having her as our pet sitter.”

“I have only the best things to say about Magnoly! She was punctual, professional, responsive, and so very caring with my 3 pups. She handles dogs of various temperaments with grace and knows when and how to step in to avoid negative interactions between dogs. Her Report Cards were thoughtful and the photos she took showed that my dogs were so happy and comfortable with her. We will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you for everything, Magnoly!”

“Eleanor did a phenomenal job watching my two dogs over Memorial Day Weekend. Constant communication throughout the drop ins and provided picture updates as well. Highly recommend Eleanor and hope to rebook in the near future!!”

“Carina was great at taking care of Missy! She checked in on time each day and spent time playing with her, fed her, cleaned the litter box as we had requested her to. Our little Missy became comfortable with her on the first meet and greet itself. We will definitely hire her again when needed.”

“Stephanie is everything you want in a pet sitter: competant and caring, reliable and kind. My two English Shepherds can be a lot to handle - especially Scout who was a covid puppy nd is still fearful of strangers. Stephanie was happy to take the extra time to gain his trust and now, when I tell him "Stephanie's coming" his eyes light up and his tail beats fast. Molly is a more outgoing dog, but can be opinionated. Stephanie has completely won her over. I recommend her highly!”

About: I adopted my first dog in second grade. He was my responsibility and as I got older, I learned that I loved going for walks outside as much as my dog. Now that I'm older, I love taking friends' dogs for hikes in new locations. I have even managed to train one of my friend's reactive dog so she pulls on the leash less. I also briefly fostered animals when I was in graduate school. I am a teacher on summer break, so I have plenty of hours to devote to your pet and look forward to enjoying plenty of summer outside time with your dog. I have walked a wide range of dogs, including a couple of reactive pit bull mixes. I have experienced triggering situations with dogs and know how to either handle them or avoid them.
“Phillip is always super responsive, communicative and usually available last minute. He has done a few drop ins with our anxious rescue and we are never dissatisfied.”

“Chloe is an excellent dog sitter! She comes on time, makes sure my dog is taken out, and fed. She also walks and plays with her. She is very responsive and will ask if anything is needed. I also like her pricing as it is affordable. I definitely recommend her as a sitter!”

“Bill and I always feel better after Jill checks on Murphy! Jill is timely, reliable and sends photos of our girls, which always makes our day. Murphy can't wait to see Jill again!”

“Walter was so courteous and showed up on time every day and I could tell me animals were taken care of. He even offered more support for the animals for an extended period when my travel was impacted by the snow. He came 2x a day for my dogs and played with them and even stayed extra time s few times, and was able to give them medications and feed them, along with my cats as well. He was also very communicative, and followed instructions. I can tell my animals are happy. I will be using Walter again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tewksbury
Annabelle was wonderful! She took care of our 15-year-old dog with drop-in visits while we were away for a long weekend. Our dog can be nervous with new people, and Annabelle was incredibly patient and caring with her. She reached out to me a few times to ask if there was anything she could do to help make our dog more comfortable with her visits. I gave her a few suggestions, and she made sure to try them. By the end of the weekend, our dog had really started to warm up to her! Annabelle was very thorough with every visit and kept us updated while we were away. I really appreciated that she cared enough to ask questions and make the extra effort to ensure our senior dog was as comfortable and well cared for as possible. We felt very comfortable knowing she was in good hands and would absolutely recommend Annabelle!

Adrianna has been amazing with our 3month old Oatmeal! She’s so kind and our Oatmeal absolutely loves her. Always on time and great communication! Always letting us know how he’s doing and keeping us informed on how his behavior has been! We are so lucky to have Adrianna, definitely would continue working with her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
