Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, boundaries, and comfort level, so I take the time to get to know what works best for them. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and have experience caring for senior dogs who may need a little extra patience, a slower pace, or additional attention. During walks, I stay aware of our surroundings, other dogs, people, traffic, and anything that may be a known trigger for your pet. When visiting your home, I’m respectful of your space and make sure doors, gates, crates, and other designated areas are secured before I leave. I also provide updates so you know how your pet is doing while they’re in my care.

Alyssa did a fabulous job with our senior lab mix. She was communicative and took wonderful care of him and our home while we were away. She administered medicine and gave him the space he needed to warm up to her. Would absolutely hire her again.

Schedule
I’m currently working toward my bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics while also working a part-time job, which gives me a fairly consistent pet-care schedule. For dog walks, I’m generally available in the mornings through 12:30 PM. On Wednesdays and Fridays, I have a little more flexibility and can typically accommodate walks through 2:00 PM. For drop-in visits, I’m available Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My Sunday availability is more limited due to my part-time job—I’m available for morning visits until about 9:30 AM and can also accommodate some visits between 4:00–6:00 PM. I do my best to keep my availability up to date and appreciate as much notice as possible, especially for recurring walks or multiple visits!

- Before our first visit, I’d love to know as much as possible about your pet and their normal routine! Helpful information includes where I can find their leash/harness, food, treats, poop bags, cleaning supplies, medications, and anything else I may need during their care. Please let me know about: * Any triggers, fears, or reactivity toward other dogs, people, bikes, cars, noises, etc. * How your pet normally behaves on walks and whether they pull or have any escape tendencies. * How they feel about rain or other bad weather and what you normally do for walks or potty breaks when the weather isn’t great. * Feeding schedules, treats, allergies, medications, or special care instructions. * Any areas of the home or yard that are off-limits. * Where your pet should be left at the end of the visit, such as free-roaming, in a crate, or in a specific room. * Any behaviors I should be aware of, such as resource guarding, door-dashing, chewing, or anxiety. * Your preferred emergency contact and veterinarian information. And of course, tell me about their personality! I love knowing their favorite toys, walking routes, games, hiding spots, quirks, and anything else that helps me make their time with me feel as normal and comfortable as possible.
