“Raina has done a wonderful job walking our dog. We had a lot of additional details and she can be a bit of a high maintenance pup and Raina took it all in stride. Our pup loves her and her walks!”

About: I have taken care of my husky malamute mix for over 8 years. Because of him, I’ve learned to look after a large, stubborn dog who is difficult to control. As a result, I have to ability to handle unexpected scenarios. I love working with all dogs and as usually as excited as they are to play and go for walks :) I’m mostly available evenings during the week or very early in the morning, while on weekends I have a lot of availability. I’m an engineering student at UC Davis, and I’m involved on campus and in the local community. I want to help you and your dog, and I can promise lots of communication with you and lots of love for your dog.

“Terisa and her husband are a great team. Roman enjoys the quality time they spend together. He gets so excited when Terisa picks him up...he know he’s going to have a great time!”

About: I've fostered dogs and cats from 1 day old to 16 years old for the last 9 years. I've taken care of all sorts of special needs including dogs with paralysis, cats in kidney failure, and dogs with dementia. I spend my Fridays walking the more challenging pups at the Sacramento SPCA. I'm familiar with subcutaneous fluid injection, oral medications (both liquid and tablet form), and diaper changes for dogs with those kinds of issues. I'm currently returning to school to become an oncology nurse. When I'm not going to school, I care for animals. I have a decent amount of free time, but not enough for a full time job. I'm very adept at meeting new dogs and cats. Patience, understanding, and care are key. I'm very diligent as far as animal health as well. I don't have kids. I have dogs and cats.

About: I’ve been a pet owner/carer since, well, birth. Growing up in a rural setting, I cared for dogs, cats, pigs, ducks, sheep, and even fostered a hawk! Friends and family have long called me the baby and dog whisperer, because not only do they gravitate to me, I’m a pro at getting them to rest and relax. I’m currently a dog mom to Bonny, the chillest 13-year old terrier/chihuahua mix that’s ever existed. 🐶 I’ve also owned highly reactive dogs and am skilled at keeping them safe and feeling secure. A former (human) first aid/CPR trainer, I’m currently enrolled to receive my pet first aid/CPR certification. Can’t wait to meet you and your fur kids! As a brand and marketing consultant, I work from home and can maintain a flexible schedule that meets your and your pet’s needs. I prefer walking dogs during cool morning or evening hours for their own health considerations. If walking during the heat of the day, I do require pet owners to provide their pet with safety shoes or have access to a non-concrete or asphalt walking route. When boarding or pet-sitting in your home, your pet will have the company of my 13-year old female dog, Bonny, who is non-reactive to dogs and cats. For daily walks, your pet will be alone with me, unless we’ve discussed and agreed that having Bonny walk with them is your preference.

“I’ve met with Vanessa twice to have her and my dog, Leo, meet before starting solo walks as Leo is anxious meeting new people. This was actually Vanessa’s idea! She’s so good with him, knowledgeable, kind, patient and stayed past her scheduled time to talk through different ways we can get Leo to calm when meeting someone new. I feel comfortable and confident with her taking care of my dog the days I’m at work. Thank you!”

About: Hi there! I’m Mykala – full-time professional by day, aerialist by night, and animal whisperer always. 🐾✨ I do pet visits before and after my 8-4:30 (because let’s be honest—coffee and cats is the dream 😂), and I’ve been around animals my whole life. I’ve even helped train service dogs when I was younger, so I’ve got a solid foundation in care, patience, and earning tail wags. Giving meds? No problem—pills or mix-ins are totally in my skill set! Needles though? That’s a no from me, dog 😆😅 I’m a go-with-the-flow Rover sitter who adapts to your pet’s vibe. Whether they’re cuddle monsters or the “don’t touch me, peasant” type, I respect their boundaries and do my best to make them feel comfy and safe. I genuinely love doing this as a side hustle because hey—getting paid to hang out with all kinds of floofy personalities? Sign me up. Let’s make your time away feel like a staycation for your pet. ✨ I normally have some extra time before and after I get off work and I already pet sit a lot for friends so I thought why not do it more mainstream since I enjoy it so much 🥰 When doing house dropins, my goal is to let you relax, knowing your furbaby is well taken care of while you're away. Whether it's giving them food, treats, or some much needed attention, I've got it covered. 💕

About: Hi there! I love animals and have a cat. I’m not able to have a dog where I live but would if I could. I enjoy caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. Being with animals brings me so much joy and peace. I’ve been a pet sitter for about 3 years. I have taken care of cats and dogs of all temperaments and some with a history of trauma. I am able to slowly win their trust and some people have said that they are surprised how quickly their animal feels safe with me. I have some experience in dog training and am able to handle dogs of all levels of energy. I work part-time, with available time throughout the day and evening to care for your pets. My schedule is flexible so I can adjust it to fit your needs. I am flexible with meeting the needs of your pet and am willing to hang out with them, take on a walk, feed them and make sure they have fresh water, as well as play with them to give mental and physical stimulation and exercise.

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 12. Reptiles, cats, dogs, and birds. I’ve had all sorts of pets as well: cats, dogs, snakes, chameleons, ducks and chickens. I’m available any time after 5:00pm on weekdays; I currently work at a law firm as a paralegal. I am usually free Saturdays and Sundays. I like to make pets feel like they’re in their own home. They’re allowed to play on the couch, on my bed, in the living room. As long as they’re having fun and feel safe then I’m happy! I do enjoy being active, so I would totally take the dogs out for a walk or a hike (if owner permits it). I do have two cats but they both get along with all animals as well. I live in a 4 story town home, so there’s enough space for multiple furry friends! ◡̈

About: Experienced Pet sitter, dog walker of all breeds. Love cats! small and large animals. I can stay overnight in your home to give you peace of mind and know your pet is not being left alone for long hours.. I can have cats in my home but not dogs. Worked for 2 well know Pet sitter Companies in Sacramento. I have been an animal artist/lover all my life. I had my own pet portrait business for 10 years. I can use Reiki healing. which uses our universal energy to help heal and give comfort to pets that have problems such as arthritis or other immune issues of aging. This is done with a gentle hands on positions on pet body. I am loving, patient, responsible and have a great respect and affinity to animals and their beauty and joy that they bring us. They are our most treasured members of our family. I will care for them like they are my own. I understand the love bond we build with our pets. I have been away from Pet sitting for a few years now. But have missed this enjoyable job so much. I have summers off which is perfect to give my time to the animals!. i am a teacher/substitute at SCUSD and love kids as much as animals! I have been gone but I am still an avid animal lover. I hope I can pick up where I left off. It is now 2025! I hope this summer will be filled with puppy tales and tails and kitty purrs! thank you for this awesome opportunity to love on your pets. Donna I will have the whole summer free. I am a teacher/substitute at SCUSD so I am looking forward to having lots of play dates with your pets. I have been away from Rover since 2016 only because I was so busy teaching school. I realize I have missed this type of work and would love to continue to do it. I have returned this year June 2025 I will again be available. I am looking forward to making some lasting love connections. I do my best to ensure that your pets feel loved and cared for. That's giving them lots of attention and kisses with Treats too

About: I have had dogs (and cats) my entire life. Trained, love and traveled across the US with my animals in tow with me. We currently have two dogs, Ozzy & Bear. I am retired and love to garden, travel and play with our dogs! We moved back to the Sacramento Area recently and would like to do something fun and thought pet sitting would fit perfect. No pet sitting at our house. Animals need to be in their own environment where it is safe and they are comfortable with their own toys & bed.

About: I have been around animals my whole life. I have raised puppies to mature adults and eventually seniors. I am very good at using positive reinforcement with them. I’m a little bit knew to cats but I am learning quickly. I care about every animal deeply. I have a full time schedule 8-5 Monday through Friday, but I am happy to walk dogs or do drop into feed and care for your loved ones after that. I am also free most weekends for watching your loved ones as well. I am very respectful about my surroundings. Your loved ones needs are my first priority when I’m with them, and will respect any special requests you have for your loved ones.

About: Pets are part of the family, and they deserve all the love. It doesn't matter if breed of dog or cat, they are all loved. I have experience but only in my family's houses. Since I was little I took care of dogs in my house, my mother always had dogs, right now we only have one because her father died 5 years ago. But my love for dogs always went beyond what people regularly do, I always worried about how they were, if they were sleeping, if they were eating. if they go to the bathroom, or anything they needed. I also helped my mother bathe the dogs. I also took care of a dog at my aunt's house, where I used to live before. Sometimes she slept with me, she accompanied me everywhere, I bathed her with my cousin. I also brushed her and fed her. When she cut herself while playing, I treated her with my cousin and we put her own bandages and band-aids on her so that she would get better. Even if she needed to go to the vet we also took her. For now I don't have pets in my house. but I like them a lot. And my boyfriend love cats! Especially cats! 💕 but me, both!. But I have a little bit more experience with dogs. I’m start learning. I want to learn every day!. I am available on Saturdays after 2pm, Sundays, mondays, at anytime, and tuesday until 5:30 pm. Because I have my job, Wednesday to Saturday ty! My goal is the pet's goal, one of the most important things is that they are well and happy. Taking care of a pet is a responsibility, because they are an important part of the family, and they feel, they have to eat, and they also have to go do their business. and walk or run like we do when we exercise for a healthy life. This is how I took care of and gave love to my pets. And to the pets of my neighbors or friends too. For now I cannot offer to take care of the pets at my house overnight, because I would need to have a suitable space for them and where to sleep them, and at the moment I don't have one.

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover of all animals except for creepy crawlies. I’m currently a cat owner but have had various pets including reptiles, dogs, cats, birds and amphibians. I’ve also cared for rabbits and chickens. I’m a very active person and love getting your dogs out for walks. I make my own cat food and feed raw so if you are a raw feeder I am comfortable with that. Also familiar with giving medications as I have an aggressive cat of my own who takes meds. I’m great at following instructions, very communicative and treat your pets as my own. I work full time during the week however can fit in pet care in the mornings or evenings. Sometimes during lunch depending on your location. Fridays I work remote and have a more flexible schedule. I always follow the owners instructions on how they would like it their pet cared for and the schedule the animal is on. I’m very respectful of other peoples homes and always leave it as I found it or cleaner.

He also volunteers for the Sacramento SPCA walking dogs, in particular the more challenging ones because of his ability to relate to them. Jonathan is well equipped to handle a variety of pets with ease!”

“Johnna is like a puppy whisperer. I rescued an older dog, who I assumed was deaf (he wasn't responding to me). I left him with Johnna for a day, and I came back to see the old man knew how to sit and behave. Turns out he couldn't hear my voice because it's too high pitched. She's caring, and knows a lot about dogs, and all the dogs I've seen her interact with go ga-ga eyes for her. I'd trust any dog I have with Johnna.”

Evan S.
“Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing this letter to recommend Evan S who has been an outstanding dog walker and sitter. I have had the pleasure of working with Evan for 4 years, and during that time, I have seen Evan's exceptional ability to care for dogs. One of the key strengths of Evan's services is that they understand the needs of each dog and cater to their individual needs. Evan is experienced in caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds and is particularly skilled at handling large dogs. Whether it's going for a walk or playing with them, Evan knows how to make dogs feel comfortable and safe. I also appreciate that Evan has the ability to give medication and can follow specific instructions provided by the pet owner. Additionally, Evan is comfortable with dogs being on furniture and has the necessary skills to provide commands and redirect them if needed. This is particularly important for those who have dogs with certain behavioral issues or for those who need extra attention. Overall, I highly recommend Evan as a dog walker and sitter. Evan's passion for animals, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to each dog's unique needs make Evan an excellent candidate for the job. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Angela L”

Carmichael dog parents share their Rover experiences
Eunji was fantastic! She arrived right on time, was incredibly sweet with my dog, and even went above and beyond by putting his food down for him which I really appreciated. She was also super accommodating, even stepping in on short notice. Eunji kept me updated with plenty of pictures and was very communicative throughout. She was great in every way, and I would absolutely book her again. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful first pet-sitting experience. The photos made it clear that our dog and cat were more than comfortable but were snuggling up and having a great time. Such a relief and knowing that made our time away so much more relaxing. Our home looked as we left it, if not better. Laura did a great job.

Christina did a an amazing job! Great communication and updates and pics after each walk. Christina is very warm and friendly and both my dogs took her very quickly, and that does not always happen with miss Violet and the fact that she gave Christina kisses is a huge compliment! Best I’ve had off this ap!

I didn't see the "1 billion star" rating so 5 will have to do... Ann is amazing. When she first got to my place she was so excited to meet my pups- she was respectful of the boundaries I had in place ( my boys are jumpers when they’re excited)- which was greatly appreciated. She greeted them with open and loving arms and they instantly fell in love with her (both are rescues and tend to be skiddish at first). Ann told me about her history working with dogs and how she volunteers at a local rescue- which speaks VOLUMES to her passion and commitment to caring for all the fur babies. Ann was attentive and asked all the right questions to ensure she was going to care for them the way I do- which is super important, to me. She even went on a little walkie with us- which is great so I could show her the outdoor triggers (squirrels, cats, etc) and how I manage that. Being consistent is important ( as we all know) and Ann was on top of it! Ann is like a friend you haven't seen in years- I just connected right away with her. Our meet and greet went amazing, and I felt so confident leaving my boys with her while I was gone. She texted me updates and pics to further ease my mind, which I totally appreciated. I highly recommend Ann to watch your fur baby!

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Erinn to walk my dog, Shiloh, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with her service. Shiloh can be a bit anxious, especially around new people, but Errin was patient, kind, and took the time to earn her trust. She was punctual, communicative, and sent updates, including photos, which put my mind at ease. Shiloh came back from the walk happy and well-exercised. It was clear that Erinn genuinely cared about her wellbeing. I highly recommend her service to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker. I will definitely be booking again!
